Opening the topic about the multicooker Dex DMC-55?

Cooking is an integral part of our daily life, which we can make easy and enjoyable with correct and reliable techniques.

A new model of multicooker - DEX DMC 55 has appeared in the assortment range of TM DEX, which will help to turn cooking into pleasure. It is made in a new design with touch control. And the volume of the multicooker has now become even larger - 5 liters!

In it, you can cook more of the most complex and amazing dishes, including using the function of manual temperature adjustment (from 100 - 160 ° C) in the "Fry" program.

And the “Warm up” function will help keep the finished dish hot, significantly saving your time in the kitchen.

Italian pasta? This dish can now be prepared very simply with the new Pasta program. And dishes with a fragrant golden crust will be helped by a separate “Crust” program.

Thanks to the uniform temperature distribution of 360 ° C and the non-stick coating, even your child can easily prepare the most complex and sophisticated dishes!

The fact that a saucepan of 5 liters is very pleasing. Interestingly, is it the same as in DEH-50 and DEH-60?
Manual temperature control (from 100 - 160 ° С) in the "Frying" program is interesting, but in DEH the frying is already divided into 3 temperature modes.
Is the "Crust" program from above or just from below?

I don't think it was on top. For this you need a top ten. Again, probably from below.

And DEKH also offers a grater as a gift to the new cartoon

And why? The lid is removed, a saucepan of 5 liters. I wish I could still hold her in my hands. The top photo shows that the orange color is visible. So the saucepan is different. But let's see for worse or better

And I liked this slow cooker visually and in terms of its characteristics very much ... I think that the saucepan will be no worse than at 50 or 60 .. good programs .. I dream to buy my son m / v, but he still resists ... if I will persuade-buy this model ... I immediately liked it ..

I wonder if this multicooker has already appeared in stores? I would like to hold her in my hands.
I specially walked with us about a week ago: Foxtrot, Technopolis, Comfi - she's not there yet.
And something tells me that it won't. There are several reasons:
1. I did not see Dex in such shops at all, just, in everyday shops. technicians carry either cheap budget models to make a good markup, 200 hryvnias (25-30 bucks), or branded Philips and other expensive ones, because they have contracts with world brands.
Dex doesn't fit into any of these groups yet, IMHO. Therefore, it does not exist.
Nadinn
Well, finally I got it.

Since I have nothing to compare with (I have only one), she looks beautiful !!! The pan is heavy, seemingly of high quality; the smell was chemical, but not very sharp. I ran her on the Par program for 20 minutes. It was enough to make the smell disappear. Now she is preparing pilaf. It is also not very large in size, so compact ...

What was a little upsetting - the buttons are touch-sensitive, you need to get to such a place that works, in short, you poke several times until the button works. The display is also without backlight. Will not work instead of a night light.
Sorry !!! Can't insert a photo !!!

A display without backlighting is, of course, not very good. Especially in the evening.

Why can't you insert a photo? You do not know how or you simply cannot on those. reasons?
Help?
Nadinn
Thank you very much for the kind words, me and my new assistant

Unfortunately, you can see I'm so gifted that I can't insert pictures. I tried everything - no one. So, if possible, please poke your nose where you can read how this is done.

And my assistant coped with pilaf very well. She put steamed rice. The result is crumbly, grain to grain. Well, that's in short for now. I didn't cook anything else.

Bowl dimensions: height - 14.5 cm; outer diameter - 23.5 cm; inner diameter - 21.5cm.

But Dex-60 has the same bowl. Will it fit the 55th?

From 60 will not work, it is below 12.9 cm in height. But the spare bowls from Polaris and Orion, in theory, should.
Nadinn
About Polaris and Orion, the reviews about the bowls are just not very good. Well, let's not lose heart, the Chinese industry is doing well. So there will be spare bowls for our multicooker.

And what, only I have 55 models? Maybe someone else has retired ???

Several photos of the novelty,
just came, I'll try the modes and write it down in the subject.

thanks for the photos and congratulations on the new product. The bowl seems to be different - the upper rim is different and the divisions are squeezed out, and in 60 and 50 they are painted with paint.
DrZed
From the first subjective impressions - a little less DMC-60, visually more accurate and discreet. No backlighting, the display is very contrasty. The biggest difference is the buttons, they are not pressed and are completely touch-sensitive, this is correct and logical (for the evolution of technology), but you will have to get used to the new buttons. To turn on the desired mode, you need to "put" your finger and wait for the reaction of the stove. Or "apply" this several times for circular mode switching.
Some operating modes have changed, for example, Porridge - 90 degrees and 30 minutes, I have not yet tried it because the device is at the sink.
After two hours of boiling, the smell of plastic is present, but mild.
The sound signal is a single-frequency squeak, in my opinion, better than the glamorous sound in the DMC-60.

If you need instructions, write and I'll post it, like a book with recipes.
Keti
DrZed, and you are comparing DEH-55 with DEH-60. Do you both have them? If so, take a pliz photo of them nearby.
Congratulations on the cartoon
Lay out the Programs (plate with temperatures and times).

I used the DMC-60 for six months, then changed it to Panasonic. Comparative characteristics only from memory, the difference in size is insignificant, but the pan is deeper in the DMC-55. Considering this, the reduction in size looks very, very nice.

The first test was successful, milk porridge was prepared. The "Porridge" mode is on, according to the instructions. Similarly to DEX-60, a slight bloom of "dried" milk remained at the bottom. But the result was excellent and in the promised 30 minutes!
The recipe was as follows: 300 grams of milk, 50 grams of water, 2 teaspoons of semolina, 3 teaspoons of oatmeal.

Collected instructions. Can 🔗.

But I didn't like something, the fact that the cooking time cannot be set for the cupcake ...

There is also no drip tray in this model.

Yes, the cupcake is not timed. The function of the drip tray is performed by a recess in the body around the pan.

I have never made a cupcake in a DMC-60, and a drip tray is enough with a moderate load on the device, and if you cook it on a production scale, then the external one may not be enough.
Nadinn
Today I tested the "Extinguishing" mode.

Since I'm kind of * JOKINGLY * on a diet, I collected everything that was lying around from vegetables, cut it and raw, without frying anything, folded it in layers, and without oil, and also without adding water, turned on the mode for 2 hours. The mode turned on and worked fine, otherwise I was afraid it (the mode) would not work without water.

It turned out to be a dietary vegetable stew.

Hello everyone) So I became the owner of this multi) I chose several days from morning to evening, leafed through the Internet, read reviews (for which a special thank you to your forum), etc. The main choice was between the 60th and 55th models, the rest of the set was somehow immediately eliminated in the process of "selection". On the one hand, there were almost nowhere about 55 reviews, since the model is completely "fresh", and it was somehow scary to take it, but still decided (well, they also gave the promised vegetable cutter to her as a gift, that also, in general, it's nice, although I didn't really need it, but why not, since they give it?)))
In general, while I have not tried it yet, because only last night I brought it home, but pilaf is scheduled for today)) I hope that everything will work out) This is my first cartoon, I was on fire for a long time with this idea, but somehow everything is a reason didn’t make a gift to yourself)))

In general, thanks to all the pioneers for the prompt feedback and news "from the scene", so to speak))) I hope I will succeed too))

By the way, this is a question for experienced users: do you think recipes for other multicooker (in particular Dex 50 and 60) are also suitable for the 55th? Well, what if the dish is prepared on basic programs, such as stewing or baking, which seem to be everywhere?

Almost all recipes are suitable for of all MV, the only thing that can be different is the cooking time, because different MVs have different powers! You can safely take recipes from 60s! Enjoy your new assistant!

Thank you so much! I hope we will work well with her))

will work together how! ... here the most important thing is to carefully read the recipe, press the right button on the MB and immediately on the positive wait for the result ....

And then they just laughed today .. one lady asked her friends for MV on DR - just for a boom .. and now she doesn't know what to do with her ...

Girls, I'm looking at this slow cooker. I have such a question - if there is no Baking function in it, then, for example, you cannot cook a biscuit in it?
Nadinn
And it has "Baking" in it. This is the Keks program. 50 minutes duration.

I just see that in the cupcake mode, the cooking time is automatic 50 minutes, but if you need to bake another 20 minutes?

then you will have to run the program again ... this "jamb" (with not set time) also somehow confused me ...
oll-la
And maybe who knows, if you start an automatic program, which is designed for 50 minutes, you cannot somehow interrupt it, say, after 20 minutes?
Nadinn
Can. You need to press the heating-cancel button.
Nadinn
Today I cooked mackerel in milk according to Lesik_L's recipe.I cooked on the "quenching" mode for 8 hours. I made changes to the recipe: did not add cheese. But it turned out very tasty; fish surprisingly remained intact, and the onion wasMulticooker Dex DMC-55 - reviewsBut it did not boil over, it remained completely intact!

In short, I like my little mule more and more! Oh, yes, she overheated the yogurt for me. I will check the mode of yogurt in water, I will unsubscribe by the heating temperature. Declared in the instructions 38-40g. FROM.

Nadinn
Well, I am reporting! I ran the "yogurt" mode for 3 hours. The temperature was measured every hour. I poured 1 liter of tap water into the bowl. In an hour, the water warmed up to 41 grams. C. Measured 2 more times, the temperature did not change, and was 41g.

Then I do not understand why in 3 hours my milk turned into almost cottage cheese. ... I tried to make yoghurt at Activia. Then I'll try it in jars in a water bath.
anutka_mama
maybe the milk was stale
Cranberry
Nadia, was the milk boiled? For some reason, it doesn't work in my bowl either, but in jars - with a bang. I still sterilize them in the microwave to be sure.

if Yoghurt was prepared from dry sourdough, everything would be fine, but for Activia 41C it is still not enough; at this temperature, it is already ready probably in 1.5 hours

Here, 99% of the problem is milk.
What kind of milk did you take?
1. Store or homemade milk?
2. Fresh or not (how many days is milk)?
Nadinn
Thanks to all!!! Of course it was the milk. Store milk, and even 1.5% fat. Earlier, when I made yogurt without a multicooker, I got normal on the heating pad. Next time I'll try it at home. boiled milk.
Nastusua
In general, on the weekend I tried the multicooker almost to the full program)) I prepared pilaf - no complaints, the rice is crumbly, it just turned out a little dry, but this is for my taste and claims not to the cartoon, but rather to me, I had to put more onions and carrots, probably. But in general it is very convenient) A full multi-bowl of pilaf turned out (for 1 kg of rice) and was cooked for only about 30-35 minutes. + about 15 minutes meat with onions and carrots on a fry at the beginning. It is very convenient that the cartoon herself knows how much rice needs to be cooked, there is no need to constantly stand over her and watch whether there is still some water left or not ...
Then there were the wings in soy-honey sauce. Everything is fine too, I first cooked on frying with the lid closed for 30 minutes, then another 15-20 minutes with the open one, so that the liquid evaporated a little. It turned out very tasty, it didn't work like that in the sleeve in the oven))
Then there was a charlotte - also without problems, 50 minutes on the "cupcake" and then held it for another 15 minutes just in case, but this could not have been done, probably ...
And there was also a Zebra cupcake from the recipe book - similarly 50 minutes on the "cupcake" and 10 minutes on the heating. It turned out interesting-striped))

In general, I signed, but maybe someone will be useful)
It's a pity there are no pictures, I didn't have time to take a picture, because I was cooking for the DR and there was no time in the photo) The only thing I wanted to note is that when you use the "frying" program, you need to be extremely careful, because it fries really well and it's better not to close the lid and leave, it's better to stir all the time, otherwise you risk getting coals))) The wings were convenient for frying, because there was quite a lot of marinade and I was not afraid that they would burn, although those that were below crusted at the bottom of the bowl. So carefully with the fry))

Happy owners of this device - tell me plz how to work with a delayed start? Throw in all the products, close, set the cooking time, and set the time AT WHICH the dish should be ready or AT WHICH should it be ready ??
Nadinn
The instructions say that the time at which the dish should be ready is set. But I haven’t used the delayed start yet, so I don’t presume to say.

And I am slowly mastering the mule. Today I cooked pumpkin porridge in milk. It turned out gorgeous.

I still sin on our network voltage. I never have 220 volts. Always lower.

Next time you bake something, you will be able to check your guesses ... Especially if it is baking without wet filling ...
That is, it is not a fact that this is exactly the "voltage in the network" - with a probability of 99% I can say that this is more a feature of the MV ... We usually bake everything in MV with a low power like this .. I rarely bother anything in Dex , but there is also a power of 980 watts ...
