Ingredients

sugar 2/3 cup

Cooking method

  • A very simple and quite quick pie to prepare. Although the scales appeared, and I measure it with a glass, it's more familiar.
  • Separate the whites from the yolks.
  • Beat the whites into a strong foam.
  • Grind the yolks with sugar until whitening.
  • Gently add the whites (a teaspoon each) and continue to beat. Then add flour and beat until the dough is as viscous as thick sour cream.
  • In the meantime, if you have a helper (husband, daughter, son), he prepares the apples: we cut them, remove the core and cut them into thin slices. My daughter does this as soon as she entrusted her with the knife. Before that, my son helped, but before that dear ...
  • We grease the mold (I have a detachable one with a diameter of about 25 cm) and sprinkle it with semolina to make sure that the cake is successful. We lay the apples in a circle. I always get two circles in 1.5 rows.
  • And fill the apples with dough.
  • We distribute it over the entire form, but it will creep by itself when it is warm.
  • We bake in a preheated oven at t = 180 * C for 20-25 minutes until browning.

Once, at the dawn of marriage, I read this recipe in the regional youth newspaper. He was tested and put into service immediately! It was called there: "Win-win apple pie."

In fact, it is very close to a biscuit recipe. If you do not beat it with flour, but stir in this flour carefully, then the "pie" will turn out to be fluffy, and not so flat. I do this all the time (I also add vanillin to the dough and mix the apples with cinnamon) and I get a very good biscuit with apples. Try not to whip, I guarantee it will be taller and airier!
