julia_bb, Yul, tell me about this oiler. The first time I see this))) Do I understand correctly that oil is stored in water? And how is that?
4er-ta
Elena, that's right. These are Polish ceramics from the town of Boleslawiec. Many years ago, I was passing through this city, there are ceramics everywhere - two factories with shops next to them, many other shops. And then, every time I passed through the city, I bought some pottery. Over the years, it turned out that all the dishes were changed. They are not cheap, but can often be purchased at significant discounts.

I know, Tatyan!
Their material is expensive and the painting is manual and complex.
But I will definitely buy a butter dish like yours when I see it! Very interesting!
I mainly see these dishes at specialized exhibitions, maybe they will bring an oiler to the next exhibition.

It is a pity that there are no such unusual oil cans. I want to go there for a cup of myself - this funny ceramics sunk into my soul
4er-ta
Elena, they have two factories - one art, there is an author's and expensive, but the second is simpler and cheaper. I don't really use this oil can, but it stood alone and was not expensive at all, which I bought, just in case. You can't resist there - so much beautyOiler

Do I understand correctly that oil is stored in water? And how is that?
Natasha, Yes that's right. The top layer of oil is edged into water, and there is no contact with air. As a result, it does not deteriorate at room temperature. Very comfortably.
The oil can hold about 100 g of butter.
I bought it on Amazon, there are a lot of them, I have the Norpro brand, the cheapest, and also with a discount.
Search for butter keeper or butter bell

4er-ta, that's so beautiful! It's good that you have shops of this Polish brand.
I may be wrong, but I also met her on Amazon.

What an interesting butter dish, sorry we don't have it on sale ...

I remember my grandmother, and my aunt, too, in the village they stored butter like that, in a jar to the top, water on top and in the cellar, always soft, fragrant butter to the table!
Eh, and it had its butter, and sour cream, and milk ... ..
julia_bb
10 days have passed, we are already eating the third pack of butter, taking into account the fact that there are four adults and one child at the dacha
Until we get bored, we indulge. Goes well for breakfasts and dinners.

Julia, how much did the butter dish cost you? Did you receive it in the mail? or CDEK? I would order one too (found it for $ 11.99 with free US shipping). Delivery to Krasnoyarsk by SDEK is about 730 rubles. will cost. You can in PM
julia_bb
Nina, I ordered from our joint venture from Ani, at the link above. It weighs 400 grams in a package somewhere. I myself took the butter dish from the organizer.
Trishka
Maybe we have such where they appeared, no?
Matilda_81
Ksyusha, no along the way. While Anya accepts orders, order from her in the joint venture. In the summer I ordered the same one as from Julia. I like!
Trishka
And how much comes out with delivery?

And how much comes out with delivery?
if not confused, oiler + with delivery from the USA + delivery in Moscow = 500r + 344r + 200r with kopecks, something like this happened, if I remember everything correctly
Trishka
Wow ....

Yes, well done by Tescom. I wonder when we will have it?

We used to have a Polish ceramics store "Boleslawiec", but it was closed. I sat for a while and wrote to the orders department of "Semikarakorsk" ceramics, I'll see what they answer. She asked if they could make one to order. I'll wait for an answer.

4er-ta, Tatyana, please, could you measure your oiler up and down the outside and inside? They answered from "Semikarakorskaya" ceramics, asked for photos and sizes, but wrote that the development of a new product costs 20-30 thousand.
I also read that for better preservation of the oil, water can be salted.

such oilers appeared

After 3 weeks of use, I can praise and recommend this oiler. There used to be a stainless steel berghof of the usual design. Regularly, the household closed it crookedly and the oil was covered with a bloom. This is out of the question here.

I like everything about this oiler - the plastic, how it is gripped by the hand, and even the knife, which at first seemed thick and uncomfortable. You just need to change the water regularly (I do this once a day). And the oil will be soft, without any odors.

Svetlenki, Light, what a cool one, but of course you keep it not in the refrigerator?
And what is it called, how to look for it?

but do you keep it in the refrigerator?

Ksyusha, no refrigerator. I put on half a butter dish, we eat in 3 days.

Thanks, I already found it!
As I understand it, do you apply soft butter and store it on the table?
And what volume does it have?
Svetlenki

And what volume does it have?

You caught me by surprise. 250 g fits if tamped carefully. I probably put 150 grams each time. And when the oil comes to an end, the oiler (upper part) begins to float in the box. It is better to hold the knife on top for weight. But there is no air ingress due to the water circuit.
Trishka
I can, thanks, boom need it or not.

Svetlenki, Sveta, I also keep looking at Teskom's oil can. I don't understand the principle of use a little. When there is very little oil left, do you need to add more water? I am wondering, the water level is important in relation to the amount of oil and it is necessary not only to change the water, but also to pour a certain volume, right? Or just change the water on time and not bother about the rest?

And further. Should you apply softened oil to it?

I also keep looking at Tescom's oil can.

I still like it very much! My men use it calmly and with pleasure, the oil does not oxidize, unlike the usual design of the oiler, when they put the lid crookedly - I did not notice - the oil was covered with a film. Oddly enough, they like this strange knife ... They hunt for it when it's clean.

But there are two BUTs:

1. DO NOT wash in a dishwasher. Even if Teskoma allows it according to the instructions, don't. I will not wash any more. Somehow suspiciously plastic leaves on the lid. The photo is not very visible, but it is clear in what place.

Oiler

2. When there is very little oil left, the upper part of the oiler floats in water. But this does not affect the "sealing" of the oil in any way. Oxygen is still not available.

The water level is shown in the trough. I always pour this strip. I change it once a day.

She seems to have told everything. Ask if you are interested in anything else.

Svetlenki, Svetul, thank you very much. I got it
