The oil oxidizes from contact with oxygen in the air, therefore, keep the oil on the table, it is necessary in an oiler with a water seal, water cuts off the oil from the air, it is always soft and does not deteriorate ...
Oiler
In the upper part, on the left, put oil, exactly under the top, in the right part, pour cold water, collect the oil can and put it on the table ...
Oiler
It is necessary to smear, open the oil can, smear, close, the water cuts off the air from the oil. It is also stored in the refrigerator for longer than in conventional oilers. Cheap and cheerful ... Bon appetit!
Zvezda askony
I am looking for an oil can for storing butter in the refrigerator.
I want it to be practical (plastic breaks, glass fragile)
And so that the oil is well stored, and to please the eye.
And if there is also a reference where you can buy, then it will be super!
There is a pretty one in the euro dishes - since they have it from 2000.
And so far I only need a butter dish
Pakat
A French oiler won't work?
They are of different types and materials ...
I have such a simple ...

But where can you buy her French

So at Pakat everything is in a hamazine around the corner and almost for nothing ...
Pakat
Zvezda askony, Anya, you did not understand the principle of a French oiler, softened butter fills the oiler (lid), cold water is poured into the base, serves as a water seal, the oil does not oxidize and stays on the table longer. Then stored in the refrigerator ...

Nice and interesting, of course. But you will be tortured to pick out the oil from there.
So why pick it out?
Making homemade butter. We take it out of the refrigerator in advance and eat.
If such lubricators are invented, then they are practical.
If the wise PAKAT uses such a variant of the oil can, then it is convenient.
A respectable person will not take an impractical thing

Certainly not oxidized. The water that is poured into the mold does not give.

and I have the same. Store oil, does not turn into stone - it immediately spreads perfectly on bread.

It's unreal for me. First, for the sake of a new oiler, make homemade butter. Secondly, I don't do much in advance, I'll have to pick out

Leska, and is on the table, right? there is not enough at all - only 100 g of oil breaks in? but on the other hand, I don't need it anymore - I used it - I put it straight ... I just caught fire with this oil can

Lisss's, can stand on the table for a long time. True, in the heat, once the oil fell out of the glass as a ball, but again ... into the water. One thing I don't really like about it is that it is too heavy for my paw (a little lighter than a small mortar), but it all depends on what material it is made of.

Why for the oil can? For health and taste, do it. I have been making butter myself for a long time, buying separator sour cream (or cream, whatever they call it) from grandmothers on the market and making butter out of it. For the money, it turns out that a liter of this sour cream leaves a week. If you buy good store oil (not a spread), then almost one for one comes out. But your own oil is your own oil, store-bought and did not stand nearby, no matter how expensive it was.

Nina, took in the Williams & Oliver store on Smolenskaya. I wanted to give a link to this butter keeper, but did not find

Ludik, can I share my impressions, though not Pasha?
In ancient times (in the 60s, and I don’t remember even earlier), very few people still had refrigerators in their apartments, and they always ate butter. And how was it kept in city apartments? ... In a simple glass jar of water, well, you could have taken a beautiful one ... The softened butter was stuffed tightly into the jar and poured water over it. In summer, it is most often salty, and even in the heat, they put this jar in a pot of water, and periodically this water was changed. The jar of butter had to be kept in a dark place so that the milk fat would not oxidize. Was it convenient? Not really ... Before oil could be smeared with water, it had to be drained, and the droplets in the oil still remained, and even often salty droplets.
I don't quite understand where the water is poured in the flank oiler, but if there is contact between the oil and air, it will necessarily oxidize.

Zvezda askony, and what do you not like stainless steel? Me - very much! Stylish design, easy to cut shape, safe. I had both porcelain and glass before, but somehow ... I'm afraid of fragments.
Lisss's
Galyun, I understand, thanks! but you still want to play something .. water is poured into a glass, and the oil in a glass is placed upside down in a glass, the top of the oil is obtained - in water ..

So in fact in ancient times. when they went to work in their native fields. also kept the butter in a bowl of water. And nothing was lost even in the most intense heat. There were no refrigerators in those collective farm hostels. I practiced this method on fishing trips. until the auto-refrigerator appeared
Gaby
And my grandmother in the village kept the oil like that before, when there were no refrigerators, put butter in a half-liter jar and poured fresh water from the well on top, the water changed every day and the oil did not deteriorate. The principle is the same here.

I buy a lot via the Internet and it seems without unpleasant surprises, but after your post I began to worry. And in vain, everything came safe and sound. The oiler was well packed, in styrofoam and in a box.
The most interesting thing is that the maid is Chinese, although for some reason I did not find it on Chinese sites.

Happy as an elephant. In the morning I smeared 43 sandwiches with one left soft butter, and not as usual put cut pieces.

The butter dish turned out to be small, for 100 g of butter, but rather weighty. I would like a bigger size for a standard 200 g oil pack. Photo under the spoiler.

Cool thing, I confirm!
They ordered me through America.
I have it outwardly and in weight like marble. Most likely marble chips.
A very handy thing. size is what you need.
Nothing less
I will reveal the "military secret" - PAKAT knows where their huge selection is.
All different. By color, by material, by price.
