oh how familiar it is to me. I HUSBAND TALKED THE ROPE TO BUY THIS 🔗 only in hryvnia it cost about 100 or 120 UAH.
So he remembers everything to me and wonders HOW? Can a rolling pin cost so much ?? And why doesn't the dough itself roll out for this money? He was generally surprised by my passion for all these kitchen gizmos, but I showed him the site calmed down a bit, so not only his wife is such a gee-gee, others also have gee-gee. But in the handles at the rolling pin they separately scroll, and in the rolling pin itself (it is hollow inside, that is, empty) water can be poured for heaviness, warm or cold, depending on what kind of dough you make. And it doesn't stick to it yet. Well, apparently, until our men at least once try to cook the dough themselves, they will not understand this. So I like it.

And I tried a "Teflon" rolling pin - nothing sticks, but it is inconvenient for her to roll out a large piece of dough, there are "paths" from the ribs along the edges of the rolling pin, but circles for pies, I think, will roll well.

And it is very convenient for me to roll circles for portioned pies with such a mini rolling pin

I bought such a thing at TSUM:

Rolling pins and scrapers for dough

turned out to be a terribly useful and convenient thing. The already discovered benefits are as follows: 1) it is very convenient and easy to cut the dough - I just tore off pieces before, and I did not always get the right size, and if with a knife, then I feel sorry for the kitchen surface ... 2) it is convenient to collect the remains of flour and dough from the table - it turns out very cleanly; 3) you will laugh, but it is convenient to dust the work surface with flour. if I just use my hands, then it always worked unevenly and in slides, and then I ran it on top of this thing, and a smooth flour surface. other pluses, I think they still await me

I have exactly the same, only in light marble and with light wood handles. Very comfortable. Heavy. It is much easier to roll it out than with a light rolling pin. And almost nothing sticks.

I could not resist and, although I have many different dough knives, I still bought another set. Only 90 rubles, how can you resist?

Should you buy? Yesterday I saw in the store now I'm sitting thinking whether it is necessary. comfortable? I saw it in a store in Kiev for 145 gr
Anastasia
Nice and comfortable! Very weighty and its weight helps to roll out the dough faster and better. They have always been expensive for the price.
NNoisy
I wonder .. why is it called "marble"? is it really marble?
Anastasia
Yes, it is really made of marble, which is why it is very heavy. Same range as marble mortars and marble cheese cutting boards with string.

Thank you! we will take!

Anastasia oh what a funky mini rolling pin. I did not know that there are such !!! Now I will look for this. I think it should be convenient to level the dough on the baking sheet with it.

And where are marble rolling pins in Moscow? I saw mortars with a pestle, but rolling pins ...

In the "Media-Markt" (I visit that on Kashirka), in my opinion, they simply do not display!

True, I go to Khimki, but I think the difference is not great. I just didn't go into the dishes ...

Very comfortably! On a baking sheet, in a small mold and just for portioned pies! From intensive use, one such rolling pin even broke, but it was inexpensive - there the handle was immediately obvious that it was unreliable - it was taking it for testing. And when it broke down, and it turned out to be very convenient to use this one, I began to look for something more reliable made and found this one made in Spain.

Anastasia and which company? how much did you buy it for?

I bought it for 400 rubles, but alas, I won't tell you the company! I know that Spain and I know that this company also produces baubles for kitchen openers, hand beaters, etc., and all with such blue-blue handles.
Here's another similar rolling pin 🔗

There are no marble rolling pins in the MediaMarket in Khimki ... It seems that there were none at all ...

Hairpin, about a week ago, I saw marble rolling pins at the River Station, the Red Cube is in a shopping center that is attached to a residential building (I forgot the name of the shopping center). I just don't know if they are there now
Hairpin
"At Rechnoy" it is called. I looked at the Red Cube website. But he still exists in Metropolis on Voikovskaya.
So I sit and think whether to go myself or send my daughter ... If I was sure that I would like her, I would send my daughter ... So as not to waste time myself ... Suddenly, too, I will be afraid of weight ...

I was scared - for me it is very difficult. And I bought this - 🔗
For only 370 rubles. Also on the River, but in the shopping center on the other side
Hairpin
I'll have to go ... to look for myself ... And in the pictures I really liked the green one ... And the stand ...
Hairpin
Antonovka, oh stop, what is the shopping center on the other side? InterSever? I know the Seven Hills there, but where did you get your rolling pin? What if I need something there, but I don’t know?
Antonovka
Hairpin,
Yeah, exactly in InterSever and exactly in 7 Hills. There are many more interesting things there. For example, silicone screeds for rolls for 180 rubles, a similar Tescoma costs 1.5 times more.
Hairpin
But I’ll start by looking at the marble rolling pin!
Antonovka
Hairpin,
In fact, I am afraid that I myself will ripen to marble. Why am I afraid? Yes, because I have nowhere to put all these bells and whistles!

And who has a rolling pin, whose handles do not need to be twisted, but it itself turns, such as Teskom's DELICIA.

How comfortable is it, is it easier to roll it out?

I have this, from Dr. Otcher-heavy, stainless steel, a photo here somewhere in the subject was. Here, only the rolling surface is spinning, and the handles do not spin and, accordingly, the palms do not rub. I like.
julifera
Anastasia, thanks for the answer, I understood the meaning - such handles are convenient.

It also turns out that it is easier to roll a heavy dough with a regular rolling pin, with which you need to press hard.

I also wanted to find out for the metal base - does the dough stick to it too much? You can't rub the rolling pin with flour, so that it sticks less.

Yes, heavy is easier to roll, that's for sure! And so as not to stick (this happens very rarely), I have long been no longer dusting the rolling pins with flour, but greasing with vegetable oil, very thinly. Even a small wooden one, which I also use, it gradually became so saturated with oil that even the dough does not even try to stick at all.

Not even any Teskomovsky department has these rolling pins.

To the metal (I have a regent), in my opinion, it really sticks less (wooden, to roll the honey dough, I dust it with flour, but this is not necessary). but about the handles ... a rolling pin with simple non-rotating handles is much more convenient for me. faster, easier and more convenient it seems. and if you ask your husband to roll the dumplings dough, he can only use a rotating rolling pin, simple - unevenly, slowly and in a fold.
Or maybe I just love my rolling pin, bought for 50 rubles from a deaf-mute uncle (made by him, it seems) that it seems to me more convenient than everyone else ...
