Orange muffin with figs

Ingredients

flour 280 g
butter 200 g
sugar 150 g
baking powder 1 tsp
vanilla sugar 0.5 h l
orange 1 PC
figs 100 g
light honey 2 tbsp
eggs 3 pcs
chocolate drops 50 g

Cooking method

  • 1. Remove the zest from the orange and squeeze the juice. Grind the zest with two teaspoons of sugar (take from the total). Then add honey and half orange juice, stir until smooth.
  • 2. Cut the figs into small cubes and soak in the remaining orange juice for about an hour.
  • 3. Beat the softened butter with sugar into a fluffy mass, then (without stopping beating), add eggs one by one. Mix flour with baking powder and vanilla. Add about half to the butter and egg mixture. Then add the orange-honey mixture and beat well again at high speed. Stir in the remaining flour in several steps.
  • 4. Add figs to the finished dough, mix. Then add the chocolate drops and stir again.

  • 5. Put the dough in a dish covered with baking paper, smooth and place in an oven preheated to 170C for about an hour (until a dry skewer).

  • 6. Cool the finished cake in a mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
