On a waffle, it doesn't matter which side the arrows are in, the knives do not cling there, you can turn at a 45 angle when cutting, and at 90 (then there will be no rhombuses, but square lattices)
yeah, I started to turn 90. But it turned out that my husband flipped through the brochure with Berner, and saw that there was 45. Now he is special

Isn't Trend cutting worse?

MannashI have had the classics for more than a year, I bought the Trend (Deco-Star) on Thursday. Both cut well. And I also wrote the pluses above: the insert is fastened more conveniently, it does not fall out. Now I also don't know whether to give it to a friend or both
hasia
Girls, I'm new to the forum. I sit in the bushes, read, suffer, and slowly go crazy. I want EVERYTHING for myself, and then after the purchase I will figure out whether I need these graters or not. I have a question for those who have a Combi Chef. How does he rub? And will these graters be enough for a young housewife? I would like to buy this grater for my daughter.
Tatalo4ka

Julia, here you are, smart girl.
I think you are our leader (from the beginners) in mastering the grater
Julia V
I still clean tangerines with a vegetable peeler and kiwi.
Natasha (Natalisha) gave me advice on how to quickly get used to the grater, like: I wanted an apple - fill it with a grater
Graziella
I managed to do something right away on a grater: slices, bars and even cubes, however, they look more like diamonds. Apparently, over a year and a half of reading this site, I learned the theory so much that in practice there were no problems! I love my Prima, my husband also liked it.

Yulechka, my husband read in the wrong place, look here, specifically about slicing on a waffle grater:

And the post above is about the spirals. But, really, these are instructions for a classic waffle.

It's hard to say yet. There, in the first position, the wave size is different. And the size of the waffles has not yet been compared.
Julia V
Tanya, Mona, what kind of book is this?
Svetlana_12
The trend has a stronger plastic than the classics and it costs more.
Girls, I just can't get used to the 1.6 nozzle. It is inserted very hard into the base and the stripes cuts badly, they turn out to be, as it were, half cut. Can you advise something?
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Manna, collated. Lattices - the waffles are the same. The differences are only in two thicknesses on the waves at Deco. On the Classic, the waves are of the same size, regardless of the position of the plate.
Svetlana_12
And this book is attached to the set of graters. There are photos and descriptions of each insert and more. Type of instruction manual.

I was told so. I trend and bought. It's a good grater, but I can't get used to insert 1.6, I probably need to take a separate one for Korean carrots.
Sandy
In the classics, too, the thickness is different depending on the position of the plate, the waves are thicker than those with holes

Girls-Lotions, tell me, what is the difference between inserts for 7mm and 10mm? Are the bars 10mm longer or thicker? Otherwise, I can't decide if I need a 10mm insert or not. I have already decided on the box, it is not needed. I put a silicone mat (I used to buy it for rolling out the dough), I rub everything on it, and then I fold it up slightly and pour out the cut where I need it!

The length of the bar depends on the size of the product you are cutting. And 7mm and 10mm are width-height. 10mm larger bars (thicker and higher)

Graziella if you are tormented to take, do not take 10, I advise you to take - the size is suitable for soups, borscht, for frying, etc. 7 is too small for me for these purposes

I had a book for Trend, and a waffle grater came in a cardboard box and there was a yellow leaf inside - an instruction. Here on the photo is a booklet for the Trend, and on the right is this leaflet:

I now took a picture of it in detail from both sides, if anyone does not have this:

Note the inscription at the end: Manufactured by order and under Borner's control. That is, it was not made on the territory of Germany, but somewhere, perhaps, in our open spaces.

Here is a link to the Waffle-Classic video. But this video of a grater sold in Germany, it slightly differs from the back (solid) from the waffle bought in our open spaces.

Deco is old, is it in Primov's version or Trendovsky's? Already the head is spinning Three thicknesses of waves? Then you need to take Deco - old
Julia V
Primovsky's set, and on the waffle it says Deco-star desing-line, sort of like trendy.
Perhaps they put two trend-style graters on Prima and got a gift set.
Yes, three wave thicknesses, even drawn on a leaf. And on a grater the numbers are 1,2,3.

On the Classic, an intermediate size, on the Deco-Star: thin and thick waves.

Deco-Star is a trendy design. Primov's design names Waffel and Welle.

You need to buy Deco - old and leave the Classics, I correctly understood that they do not duplicate each other, the thickness is still different from thick waves

And here I am walking around and about two little graters on a German site. I can't understand the difference between green and yellow. According to the scriptures, it seems like one cuts into slices and strips, and the second only into slices. But according to the photo, one has smooth and serrated blades, and the second has only serrations, somehow it does not converge. Maybe someone figured it out?

Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Sandy, if you need a difference in thickness of 1-2 mm, then yes, you can buy both.

Makabush, there are two options for small graters: a fine grater (like a carrot, but finely) in both, but in one, in addition to it, a crooked cut, and in the second - thin whole slices. in any case, as I understood from the description.

From the photo, it seems like a decent difference ... for me to be a little thinner than in the Classic, for example, carrots for soup, for example, are still thick, and so a little thinner and narrower

Makabusha, yesterday I googled in the internet, read reviews on our forum in the thread about peelers, to decide whether to order or not here and there they praised the Swiss ones. And I looked, found different ones, including such an interesting peeler, cuts into strips. Take a look at the link and click: enlarge the photo. And there you can see that one blade is smooth and the other is serrated. It is quite possible that on the graters that you found, the grater, where both smooth and serrated, rubs the stripes, as on this vegetable peeler. By the way, there are no such peelers in Ukraine, there are the same ones, but smooth and round.

Oksanochka, when I cut it for a photo, I also measured it with a ruler. Here's what I did: measure by the highest points - the ridges.
Deco-Star: the thinnest - 10 mm, the thickest - 15 mm. Classic - 12 mm.

I can see that I missed your question somewhere, the Temka moves very quickly)))) The site gives a 10% discount on that part of the order that exceeds 90 euros (before NG it was over 80 euros). And this discount is not taken into account on promotional goods, such as a gift set, for example. Since the order is general and it is impossible to calculate who the site would give a discount to, and who would not, if ordered separately, it is impossible, I just split the total discount that we received for the order for all customers, in proportion to the amount of each order. For the first purchase, the discount was about 70 euros based on the order amount of 1000 euros, but we had a lot of promotional gift sets, so there would be more. For some, the order amount decreased due to a discount of 5 euros, and for others - 2 euros. If you want to look in more detail, then look in the subject for the plate with the final prices, there the discount for each is in a separate column.
And in Russia the order is already going, responsible T.A., knock on her PM.

I looked at the photos in both, then one in the photo has a blade with notches just like on triangular peelers (but she does not cut into strips !!!!) and a clean blade, and the second only has a blade with a notch.
If according to the descriptions, then one cuts only into slices, and the second into slices and straws (delirium). If according to the photo, then one only with notches, and the second with notches and with clean blades, that is, both are cut with straws, and only one glaco. Also nonsense, but which contradicts the nonsense in the description.
Confused.

makabush, there on both the Blade - with notches, so in one of these notches close, such as cutting through the slices, and in the second - not, such slices are slightly wavy, like our triangular vegetable peeler. And the second grater - it rubbed like ordinary beetroot, only finely. You are probably confused that one picture is yellow, the second is green, and the third is both green and yellow. So as far as I understood, there are two versions, both yellow and green - yellow and green julienne-beetroot, and yellow and green slices-beetroot. something like this.

there it seems like they still make one thickness Or I again misunderstood

Julia cut this with waves when inserted in the position of wafers, she just cut without turning the fruit holder.
redcat
Sandy - 15 mm only it seems that a lot - it’s all the bends that add up - the highest and the lowest point ... and the carrot itself is very thin, you see, it even scattered slightly in the soup. this is how slate, for example - if you take the thickness of the sheet - you get somewhere CM 10 - 15, and if you take the thickness of the material - there will be several MM. so here. therefore, 15 mm in blanks or stews, for example, will be quite gut.
Julia V
Well, yes, I have three thicknesses on the grater.
The first is the thinnest slicing, and when you turn it over, then the waffle
second-middle
third, you take out the insert, and you get the thickest value.
This is shown both on the grater itself and on the instruction leaflet.
I apologize if I confused someone, but the thickness of the waves is three
