Drunk prune cake

Ingredients

Dough:
Wheat flour of the highest grade 200 g
Granulated sugar 100 g
Butter 100 g
Egg yolks 3 pcs.
Baking powder 1.5 tsp.
Interlayer:
Pitted steamed prunes 150 g
Cognac or rum
Cream:
Egg whites 3 pcs.
Granulated sugar 100 g

Cooking method

  • Interlayer:
  • Steam the prunes, remove the seeds, pour over cognac or rum, leave for at least an hour.
  • Dough:
  • Grind the butter, sugar and yolks into a white foam.
  • Add flour and baking powder.
  • Put in a mold and put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cream:
  • While the dough is baking, beat the whites without sugar into a strong foam, then add half a tablespoon of granulated sugar to the whipped mass.
  • Reduce the temperature in the oven to 100 degrees, take out the form with the cake layer, put the prunes and cover with whipped egg whites. Put in the oven for an hour.
