Yerevan donuts with custard

Ingredients

yeast 50g.
egg 1 PC.
cognac or brandy 2 tbsp. spoons
sugar 3 tbsp. spoons
vegetable oil 3 tbsp. spoons
salt 1 teaspoon
warm water 2-2.5 cups
flour 1 kg
For the cream:
egg 1 PC.
flour 3 tbsp. spoons
sugar 1 glass
milk 2 glasses
vanilla sugar or vanillin 1 sachet

Cooking method

  • Knead the dough from all ingredients (add flour last).
  • Cover, put in a warm place for an hour and a half, until the dough doubles in volume.
  • While the dough is rising, prepare the custard:
  • Divide the milk into two parts.
  • We mix the egg, flour and 1 glass of milk so that there are no lumps.
  • Boil the second glass of milk with 1 glass of sugar, pour into it the first part, consisting of a mixture of eggs, flour and milk.
  • Boil until thick, add vanillin.
  • Cool to a warm state.
  • When the dough is ready, knead it, tear off a small piece, make a cake, put 1 teaspoon of cream inside, pinch, make a ball, then flatten it.
  • Fry in oil over medium heat.
  • Yerevan donuts with custard
  • Sprinkle with icing sugar when serving.

Note

It is better to grease your hands with vegetable oil, then the dough does not stick.
