Green Buckwheat

Cooking method

  • Uncooked green buckwheat. One of these days I bought this buckwheat to try it, which I will say is tasty and especially very useful. Rinse buckwheat with warm water and leave for a while. When it becomes slightly soft, you can eat it .. you can just boil it, but all the same, it is better to germinate such buckwheat and use it in a sprouted form ... .. it feels like eating peas)) and its aroma is gently nutty .. here.)
  • Germination recipe.
  • Rinse 1 cup of green buckwheat thoroughly with water. Pour 2-3 glasses of raw water (preferably drinking or at least purified with a household filter) in a volumetric bowl for 1.5-2 hours. Then drain well and spread lightly over the sides of the bowl. You will not need to rinse more, you can stir occasionally to dry out better.
  • You can soak buckwheat (leave-forget) and for a longer time, for 6-8-10-12 hours, and it will germinate. But for more than 10-12 hours it is better not to leave buckwheat in water, it will simply spill out and ferment.
  • Buckwheat - grateful groats, germinates very quickly. And in the sun and in the shade. And especially at night. And even better - near the ionizer.
  • Raw buckwheat, when soaked, secretes a lot of mucus, so many do not "understand" and do not like it. In fact, firstly, this "mucus" is very fragrant and not repulsive at all, some raw foodists love to sip buckwheat along with this natural jelly as is. Secondly, immediately after soaking, it can be washed in water and drained dry so that the mucus no longer stands out and germinates for a long time (2 days) so that it has time to dry completely.

I, too, recently began to use sprouted buckwheat, much softer than wheat. And, they say, it is very useful, because thanks to its resistance to pests, buckwheat has not been genetically modified and does not require pesticide treatment.

Urrraaa !!! I am not alone in my views on the method of cooking green buckwheat !!!

It's not like boiling it for me, I even feel sorry for pouring / steaming it with boiling water ...

But a little lukewarm water is the best thing, or even better, pour green buckwheat water at room temperature ...
