Cinnamon cookies

Ingredients

Wheat flour 250 g
Salt pinch
Sugar 175 g
Butter at room temperature 115 g
1 egg + 1 yolk
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Grated nutmeg pinch
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Finely grated zest 1 tsp
For breading:
Ground cinnamon
+ 2 tbsp. l. powdered sugar
2 tsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Sift flour with baking soda, salt and grated nutmeg. Using a mixer, beat the butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg, yolk, vanilla essence, zest and beat until light airy mass.
  • 2. Add flour and stir gently with a spoon. Cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • 3. Combine the icing sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. With a teaspoon, gradually select the dough and roll into balls about 2.5 cm in diameter. Lightly roll each ball in a mixture of cinnamon and powdered sugar and place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper or greased with melted butter, at a distance of 5 cm from each other.
  • 4. Slightly flatten the balls and place in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookie are browned. Remove from the oven, remove from the baking sheet with a flat spatula and cool on a wire rack.

The dish is designed for

30-35 pcs.

It is delicious with hot coffee, cold milk, and tea.
