Waldorf salad with sea cocktail

Ingredients

Green apples 2 medium
Celery stalks 4 large
Walnuts 100 g
Mayonnaise
Cream 4 tbsp. l.
Lemon juice 2 tbsp. l.
Seafood Cocktail 500 g

Cooking method

  • Put the seafood cocktail in boiling water, bring to a boil and boil for 1 - 2 minutes, drain in a colander.
  • Peel the celery and cut into thin strips, chop the nuts, cut the apples into cubes. Mix everything, add a seafood cocktail and season with a mixture of mayonnaise, lemon juice and cream.

Waldorf salad was first served at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York, which explains its name. Then the recipe for the signature salad did not include nuts, but it is the recipe with the addition of nuts that is now considered classic. In 1896, the Waldorf salad recipe was included in a cookbook published by Waldorf metro hotel Oscar Chirky, who claimed to be the author of the recipe, but this was questioned. According to another version, Waldorf salad first appeared in the Waldorf Lunch System restaurant chain, the symbol of which was an apple.

Lika! Brought you Walldorf salad !!! Only without mayonnaise (well, we season it before meals) and without nuts (my husband is allergic to them). And so I really liked it !!!
