The muscles of the face, unlike all other muscles in the body, are not attached to the skin, but to the bones. Therefore, all emotions and grimaces of a person are reflected in the form of wrinkles on the face. They can be fought with cosmetic preparations, various salon procedures. One of them is massage, which stimulates metabolism in the skin, maintains its freshness and elasticity.
Undoubtedly, a professional will do it properly. However, individual self-massage techniques can be performed independently and supplemented with salon procedures, facial gymnastics, and the use of creams and masks.
At the same time, certain rules must be observed. Firstly, you need to make sure that there are no contraindications, which can be skin diseases, dilated blood vessels, severe cardiovascular diseases. Secondly, self-massage in order to minimize stretching of the skin is carried out along the massage lines, otherwise you can add the number of wrinkles. Thirdly, the procedure is carried out with relaxed fingers, light and rhythmic movements.
For good hand sliding when massaging normal to dry skin, use vegetable oil or a greasy cream. Oily skin is massaged with talcum powder, and mature skin with a nourishing cream. It is strictly forbidden to move the skin. Special care is required when massaging around the eyes - the skin here is the thinnest and most delicate.
It must be remembered that only regular, daily massage (even for 5 minutes) has a beneficial effect.
Before the procedure, you need to remove your hair and cleanse your face. The facial muscles are completely relaxed. It starts from the neck. The back of the hand (first - one hand, then the other) passes the lateral side of the neck from bottom to top and goes down along the front side, bypassing the thyroid gland. This is repeated up to 4 times. Then the right hand is stroking the chin from left to right, with the left - from its middle to the earlobes.
The middle part of the cheeks is stroked from the corners of the mouth towards the earlobes. Their upper part - to the temples from the back of the nose with the middle and forefingers. The skin of the forehead is ironed first from its middle to the temples with the tips of the fingers, then from the eyebrows to the hairline upwards.
Massaging in the eye area is carried out: along the upper edge - from the bridge of the nose to the temples, along the lower edge - in the opposite direction. All movements of the procedure are repeated up to 4 times.
The same techniques are used after stroking, only with the third and fourth fingers by tapping them with pads.
The entire massage procedure ends with stroking. An indicator of the correctness of its implementation is a small blush on the cheeks. At the end, the remains of the cream are removed with a herbal decoction or alcohol-free lotion.
In the presence of wrinkles, kneading is added to the massage movements. In this case, the wrinkles are pressed with force by the fingers: on the forehead - from the middle to the temples, around the mouth - from the lower jaw to the wings of the nose and corners of the mouth. In the area of the eyes, pressing movements are carried out to places in their corners.
