I also join the question, because I am on the verge of choosing between the MIE and Karcher models. And those and those have pluses and minuses, I don't know where to stop. Of course, MIE also attracts by the competition, I love that, but I don't know yet
I have not heard anything bad about the MIE technique, there are a couple of devices at home, they help out a lot. I am a plus for MIE. Budget and high quality option. What kind of competition?
Stillrebel
I bought Karcher sc2 Premium.
Pros:
Simple and thoughtful. For example, a funnel is not needed, since the body has a recess and water itself is poured into the tank.
All nozzles can be inserted into compartments on the body, the cord and hose can be wound around the extension tubes of the nozzles.
Good quality plastic, strong bristles on the brushes.
Provides a continuous and powerful jet of steam when heated.
Long cable (under 3 meters) and 2 meter hose.
A large selection of additional attachments and accessories on sale.
Minuses:
There is no shutdown button. Heats up while the plug is inserted into the outlet.
Relatively expensive accessories.
... and that's all, perhaps.

I use all attachments except the large round brush.
Brown-eyed
StillrebelHow long does a full tank of water last?
Stillrebel
Brown-eyed, minutes for 30-40 continuous work.
I manage to wash the floor in a large one-room apartment in an hour, steam the countertop and kitchen doors, wash two mirrors, clean something else - about a third of the water tank remains. Naturally, the steam does not go constantly. Either change the nozzle, or wipe off the condensate.
Brown-eyed
Stillrebel, thanks, otherwise I'm fixated that I need 4ku with a removable tank, but right now there is not enough stash for it, and the original ones are almost the same + many windows and a cat. but I will not clean the windows every week. I also want to wash the floor 60m + kitchen apron-table-top + bath and freshen up the cat's place
Stillrebel
Brown-eyed, in principle, a full tank should be enough for regular cleaning
But for the first use, when you want to scrub EVERYTHING that you see is most likely not enough
Dixxi
Francuaza, thanks, I will take into account. You can read about the competition on the mie website. The conditions are not complicated, and the prizes are tempting, so I decided to ask what brand, I have not bought their equipment yet.

Good afternoon! Can you please tell me, I could not read the entire forum, but somewhere information slipped through that the steam cleaner is not very good at removing fat in the kitchen.
Please tell us in more detail - for example, the walls, the ceiling, and what will be below (tables, cabinets). How are you doing? Does the steam cleaner help in this matter? Or does this only require funds and washcloths?
According to the specifics of my work, for about half a year, I only have enough strength to eat and bring my head to the pillow, and then in the kitchen it is scary to watch. So I thought, what if a miracle happens - I spent the steam and a cloth and that's it!
And tell me - can you wash the rag after that or just throw it away?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Irina.

Irina13, Can you imagine how many models of steam cleaners our members of the forum have? And not all work the same way. Naturally, the more expensive and better quality handles dirt better. I can only say about my Karcher SC 1.020 - yes, I did it with a steam and a cloth, and that's it.
Chamomile
For me, with a hand-held steam jug, it is desirable, but not necessary, to sprinkle stagnant fat with a pop (vinegar or lemon + liquid soap + soda + water. not expensive, new, for the kitchen and bathroom). At the same time, I work as a steam, steam train. It is possible without funds, but it takes longer to wash, to rub more. I'm talking about old spots. Fresh stains can be done without funds.I have a very budget jug, so the included brushes can be thrown away immediately. Kecher brushes do not need normal brushes for them. You can only work with the steam generator itself with a suitable brush.

The rags are perfectly cleaned in the washing machine.
Irina13
Thank you! That's just what I want to figure out whether there will be help or not. And I worked with the technique more than once and I understand the difference between powerful and small units.
Here's another question - which one will cope with the hood grilles?
dopleta
Our Karcher copes.
By the way, just today I caught my eye on the Internet about non-trivial applications of the steam generator - in our topic (I do not presume to evaluate):

"TEST STAND

If you are going to bake something made from yeast dough, you can make a makeshift proofer. The dough rises well in warm and humid environments. Place a baking sheet with future pies near the radiator. Cover the baking sheet and battery with a plastic wrap “tent” and apply steam. Repeat steam injection every five minutes. The dough will rise in 15-20 minutes. Now bake immediately.

BAKERY PRODUCTS

Do you know how rich and tall bread is made in bakeries? The first time the dough is put into the oven, steam is automatically injected into it. And he creates an overheated bath in which the dough rises high again. You get it, right? Place a baking sheet with pies in an oven preheated to maximum and introduce steam into it through the half-open door. Close immediately and set the temperature down to the one indicated in the recipe. "

dopletagiven the upcoming holidays, very timely advice!
Who would have thought that the "pigs" and the oven help ...
I wonder if you can somehow adapt this advice to a bread maker?

Larissa, thanks))) on the weekend we will conduct tests!

Today, for the first time, the floors in the kitchen were washed with Karcher ... what to say ... but I won't say anything, because I almost jumped for joy for the result and the speed with which it all happened: oops: It didn't work like that with a mop, especially near the stove. Removing old fat hasn't been impressive yet, for a very long time. You can sprinkle with something to soften?

I have a Karcher 4th ... I had sooooo dirty bars - to be honest. Did not cope. More precisely, it would be just long, tedious, and I don't even know how expensive it is for electricity.

There is a video on YouTube in which people clean the hoods with Karcher sinks. I can believe it. And the grate steam generator - IMHO

Well, or teach me how, please, maybe I did the wrong thing

Larissa, and what, an interesting idea ... I really pour boiling water on the stones in a tray ... Or will the heat go out of the oven too quickly while I let the steam go there with a steam generator? Maybe on some buns to try ... It's a pity to experiment on Belarusian rye custard bread!

I need to get my steam cleaner from the link and wash the refrigerator. otherwise there is a lot of ice in one place, maybe we will solve the problem together and save money on buying a new cold
when I bought it, I washed everything that was possible and not, and then I pushed it into the corner and I don’t remember him for 4 years
Alenka212
Ljna, the steam will certainly help, but one-time. Can the repairman invite? Sometimes repairing an old one is more profitable than buying a new one. Unless, of course, repairs, this is a reason to change the boring refrigerator. They also become obsolete.

Good afternoon hostess! I ask for your advice and help. How do you clean household appliances (multicooker, pressure cooker, bread maker) with a steam cleaner? I have a KARCHER SC 1.020 steam cleaner. A general cleaning of some devices is ripe. I heard somewhere that you do it, but how? (in the same place, water is formed anyway) If you explain it, I will be very grateful.
Stillrebel
Tatiana27, cleaned multicooker, electric kettle, microwave oven, oven front panel.
I have an analogue of your steam cleaner - sc2.
1) I completely warm up the steam cleaner and its hose (I clean something else for 5-10 minutes) so that the steam is as dry as possible.
2) I turn off the equipment that I will be washing from the outlet. Except for the oven, I'm just being more careful with it.
3) to clean the buttons - I hold the steamer nose at a distance of 3-5 cm for 1-2 seconds and wipe it with microfiber
4) for temperature-resistant surfaces (the case of a multicooker, for example) - I wipe it with a steam cleaner with steam until it is cleaned. I also wipe it with a paper towel or microfiber.

Interestingly, immediately after cleaning, the effect is not visible, but after 20 minutes, when everything dries, the plastic begins to shine.
Vinca
Girls, going to buy Karcher. I read a lot of things, and the pros and cons, where it should and should not be used, thought it over ... decided to take it all the same. But! In the reviews, it very often flickers precisely in the minuses that after cleaning the "fat" places it is problematic to wash the nozzles and brushes. Maybe someone has already got their hands on such things? It is impossible to reread the whole topic))). But in one place I saw that it was advised to moisten the brush first to Ferry so that the fat would not stick so much. Maybe there are other tricks? Like wash it in the washer, or soak it in what?
Tatiana27
Stillrebel, thanks for the help. I'll try.
Alenka212
Vinca, you can rub at all with a non-Karcher brush in the most dirty places. and the other with a brush, a sponge ...
Vinca
That is, we throw out the branded brushes and three disposable sponges? So I can even without a steam cleaner (
Stillrebel
Vinca, most of the dirt and rubbing is not necessary - it rinses off under the pressure of hot steam. The main thing is to collect the dirty water. For this I have a large dense microfiber cloth for 150r. It turned out to be more convenient than changing the cases on the brush.
And then the brush can be cleaned with steam if it gets dirty.
Chamomile
Vinca, the meaning of a steam generator is to supply steam under pressure. And brushes and rags are secondary. If it is very dirty and greasy, apply steam, and take any brush on the handle, the cheapest one, which is not a pity to throw away later.
That is why I bought a cheap jug. He has no brushes, but he delivers steam regularly.
But there are not many such frankly fatty places. Therefore, in other cases, the branded brushes will be washed off.
Vinca
"Clean the brush with steam" is the answer!)). Thank you! I have no critical places that have been filthy for years. But, reading the forums, I realized that the main problem is to wash the brushes after cleaning. That's why I asked.
LisaNeAlisa
Before buying a steam vacuum cleaner, I thought that I was cleaning clean at home, and when I cleaned the aquafilter I almost fainted: sand, grease ... I barely washed the container the first three times ...

Good evening girls. Tell me if anyone has a neo steam cleaner? There is no information anywhere, I did not find reviews. Tomorrow I'm going to buy food, I'm thinking Kercher or neo to take. It seems that their characteristic is close to each other, but the price of the Karcher is biting.

Girls! I think I have found another worthy use for our steam pumps! There is such a device --- it is called a vaporizer. It is used in beauty salons, hairdressing salons. A mask or medical balm is applied to the hair. Then a cap is put on the head and steam is supplied. After this procedure, dyed hair (especially blonded) becomes alive. Steam opens up the hair scales and helps the deep penetration of nutrients into the hair.
What can we do at home. We wash my head. Only with shampoo. Dry slightly with a towel. Apply a mask with vitamins. And we go to wash the bathroom and toilet with a steam cleaner. We'll just close the door. Let's arrange a small steam room. You can then steam the cellophane bag. Put it on your head. Top with a warm hat. And continue cleaning. Then we wash off the hair with water. Apply conditioner (seal hair scales) Rinse it off. And when the hair is dry --- admire the result.
And they cleaned the apartment and went to the salon!

yes, great idea)))

I really want karcherh. Tell me, girls-karcher-owners, do you often use them? Is it not very heavy for a weekly scrubber? And is it necessary to vacuum or sweep before mopping? Because sometimes I don't sweep, but I just go through it twice with a microfiber mop, it catches everything. Thank you!
Admin
Isn't it easier and faster to walk through the corners with a vacuum cleaner once, and then once with a rag on a Karcher?
A rag will not take as much debris and dust as a vacuum cleaner

The best floor cleaning is an ordinary rag or a scrubber, a very high-quality cleaning will work if the rag is periodically rinsed in water along the way
And so ... with a damp nozzle to the Karcher and others like them - "uniform smearing of dirt on the floor surface" - this is so called

anneta21, Tatyana, very aptly described the most effective way to work as a Karcher. I won't trade it for anything in the kitchen! I ran along the facades, on the tiles, washed the floor and smells like spring.

There are a lot of complaints about him on the internet, and the very first thing is heavy and yells loudly. Here, if you will allow me, I’ll ask you how this corresponds to the truth. Dust is my pain, because our city is very dusty, especially in summer.

Girls, I decided to buy a Karcher steam cleaner.
I lean more towards the SC4 model. In the official store, there is now a promotion for the Premium model - a wiper is included as a gift. In principle, I don't need it, since there is already exactly the same one, but it seems that white models have always been more expensive (maybe due to a richer configuration, or maybe the insides are somewhat different, I don't know) ... So I’m thinking - take Karcher SC4 Premium or not drive and buy a regular SC4. The difference between them is about 1,700 rubles. What do you advise?
