Girls I am again to you for help. For 10 days now I have been happily cooking with my mulychka I have tried a lot of things, but I still need to try a lot.Today I got a hinged double boiler and immediately the question arose of how to cook two dishes at the same time - noodles + steam cutlets. Please tell me on which mode and how long it will take

Irina1607, congratulations on your purchase

Unfortunately, I don't have a mounted double boiler (I'm waiting for Dex-60), but I imagine the process like this - in a saucepan of pasta + pod. oil + salt + water, cutlets into a double boiler. Rice Express Mode. The pasta is boiled, the steam goes on, and the cutlets are steamed. After 10 minutes, turn them over to the other side.

Irina1607, congratulations you won't regret that you bought

made vegetable stews and steamed vegetables in the hinged,
but I tried steamed chicken muffins with porridge and did not work -
probably not enough steam, then cooked on the stove
join the question
I am also very interested in learning how to cook two dishes at the same time
lesik_l
Girls, in my opinion, nothing will come of the automatic modes. There is a violent boil for about 10 minutes. First, it warms up a little - it freezes, allows the grain to swell, then a little higher, and only at the end it starts to boil. And since the water has almost completely absorbed, then there is nowhere to take steam. It should work out in the extinguishing mode. Mainly due to its duration.
nimart
Yes, I did it on extinguishing, I forgot to say
Irina1607
Thanks for your answers and congratulations. If I understood correctly, I need to cook on the stew mode. Then one more question for how much vermicelli should be taken and how much water (with buckwheat it is 1: 2)?
lesik_l
Stewed vermicelli? And what do you get? Stewing is good for stews, potatoes and the like, but only gluten will remain from pasta.

Therefore, I ask what mode, cooking time and proportions?
lesik_l
Vermicelli is very thin, and it must be cooked in a saucepan for a maximum of 5 minutes, what can we say about the cartoon. But pasta is great on express rice. We have already written about proportions more than once. Water needs to be poured almost to the level of pasta. the tips should stick out of the liquid.
nimart
it seems to me that the bottom dish should be cooked in time or as much as the top one or more,
that is, steam cutlets and noodles simply do not combine into a common cooking
Vichka
: hi: I cooked one vermicelli in a cartoon. I already knew in advance that there would be a lump, but I wanted to convince myself. And so it happened. Cook noodles in a cartoon, if there are absolutely no other options. I cook on induction for 6-7 minutes; 3-4 minutes to boil and 3min. for cooking. The stove will turn itself off and give a signal.

I can offer a compromise: rice + noodles and steam cutlets. Delicious!

And here is a photo.

: hi: It's probably delicious, I admit it, but not for everybody. Mine will not eat rice and noodles together.
Luysia
VS NIKA, try it, it's not at all like mixing two side dishes (rice and noodles) on a plate.

I love trying this side dish on a visit. First, they poke around with caution, and then lick the plate! Those who didn’t like it weren’t there yet!
Vichka
: hi: Maybe I'll take a chance, but it hurts with my "picky" risky!
May @
I did not cook noodles in a cartoon, the best shells are obtained. But even when I cook shells, I must periodically mix them, otherwise they will be lumpy. Well, I definitely add Raf. sunflower oil.
I still want to try spaghetti, but somehow I hesitate whether it will work out, it seems to me that it will stick together in someone like noodles. Nobody tried it?
Rina
And here I am sitting and waiting for the 60th model, in the Crimea I was convinced that the "frying" function in the cartoon is extremely necessary.
Vichka
: hi: We are also waiting in Moscow, only analogue (Brand 37501)
May @
I just can't understand, in Dax-60 they say the volume is 4 liters, and in Brand 5. Where is the truth?

: hi: They look alike. Maybe where some error occurred in the information.
May @
Yeah, if only I knew where that mistake was. And are there really two steamers, otherwise in Brand it seems they wrote about one.
Vichka
: hi: In this their difference is visible and will be. And so, Dex 60, that Brand 37501 has nothing in common with its predecessors. New models could be called Panasonic and whatever.
Keti
And I really enjoyed cooking pasta in the cartoon. First I made frying, then I added water and pasta in the "Heating" mode. Cool, there is no foam, nothing runs off like on a stove.
lesik_l
Keti, how many minutes? And does the water boil on heating? It's like 80 degrees.
Keti
And I'm already pouring it boiling from the electric kettle.
Vichka
: hi: How much water and how next?
Keti
Fair? I didn't measure it by eye. But there is less water than pasta - they are still steamed.
Vichka
: hi: So the pasta doesn't sink, but looks out?
Keti
Yes, and I mix them several times. Maybe 1 to 1. Somewhere like that.
As in a cartoon - after the pasta is cooked in it, I love my cartoon even more.
I really did not like the process of making pasta on the stove: make sure that the water does not run away, remove the foam, etc. And it tastes better in a cartoon.
Bows, spirals work very well, separately from each other.
And the long noodles, of course, tend closer to each other. Probably for her you need to pour more water. Or try boiling it so that you can drain the water later.
Vichka
: hi: We will try, thanks!

Alyona, on mode heating water boils, pour it and watch. In this mode, I cook milk on a timer, taking into account automatic heating. It turns out very well.
lesik_l
Slow down please, I'm recording

Maina, tell us in how many minutes the boil is going on, what intensity it is, and, in general, in more detail in minutes how you cook milk.

Recently I tried to cook milk rice porridge according to the recipe from the forum on the mode languor 5 o'clock well, in the sense from evening to morning. I didn't like the result, it turned out to be something like a pudding.
Today I cooked this porridge on the timer on the mode heating... The mode is pretty strong, everything heats up, boils and boils for a while. The duration on this mode is no more than 25 minutes, it is clear that this time was not enough for the porridge to cook completely, the cereal remained a little damp. Left on automatic heating for 2 hours, the porridge turned out to be wonderful, watery.
I took 1 liter of liquids (0.5 liters of water + 0.5 liters of milk), 100 grams of rice, 100 grams of sugar (it seemed too sweet to me, next time I'll put less), 30 grams of butter (it seemed a lot too) and a little salt. I smeared the saucepan with butter just in case.
Conclusion: if porridge is needed at 7 o'clock in the morning, set the timer at 5 o'clock in the morning and let it stand for 2 hours on heating, just by 7 o'clock the porridge is ready.
Freesia
Set to cook Stewed herring in oil Cook for 7 hours.
Tell me, please, should you first put it on Stewing, or put it on the languishing right away?
lesik_l
Lena cooks at Panasonic. Do they also have longing? In the evening I will ask
Freesia
I stewed for an hour, I see the fish is already falling apart, I set the languor. I don't know what will happen to her
lesik_l
Freesia, did you add lemon? The acid just keeps the fish from falling apart
Freesia
Yes, not a step from the recipe
Freesia
I prepared a delicious fish.
But I did not decide on the mode, it was boiling very much during the extinguishing, 7 hours would be too much. I ran around the multicooker today as never before.
In general, 1 hour stewing and 5 simmering. You also need to think about it, because the next step is fish and tomato.
May @
Freesia, I would advise just to boil at the initial stage boilingand then bet on languor... At the end of the program languor, there is one hour of light boiling. That's just after boiling you need to wait a little so that the cartoon cools down a little, or maybe languor disconnect due to high temperature already accumulated.
Galinka-Malinka
Maybe someone needs a saucepan, here they got gas 🔗
Daffi
Girls, save my jelly

I put different meat in, put it on Boiling, as it boiled, immediately turned it off and put it on Simmering for 5 hours. There is still 2 hours to simmer, but it is still damp and does not boil. What did I do wrong?

Please tell us when it was necessary to salt and put onions with carrots, lavrushka and peppercorns.

UPD
In this thread, I found that someone did 8 hours on Slowing and everything worked out, but I did not understand how hard the jellied meat was frozen - I need good jelly, as expected.

Faithful
Daffi are you sure the meat is raw? After 5 hours of languishing, everything falls apart. Maybe you often looked under the cover? Each housewife cooks jellied meat in her own way. First, I bring all the meat to a boil and boil a little on a gas stove in a saucepan (2-3 minutes) and drain this broth. I shift the meat into the cartoon, put onions, carrots and fill it with clean water and DO NOT OPEN the multi lid. I salt about 5 minutes before cooking, then put the meat in a bowl and add pepper and garlic to the broth. And I leave the broth in the cartoon. While I lay out the meat on plates, the broth is infused. Then I filter it through cheesecloth and pour in the meat. It is much more convenient to cook jelly with cartoons. As I remember these shifts near the gas ...... brrr. It boils strongly, it does not boil ..... In short, jellied meat in a cartoon is easy and simple.

Thank you for answering, you reassured me a little, otherwise I thought that everything was gone. I made a mistake when I didn't drain the first water
So 5 hours will be enough, yeah. I looked under the lid because I brought in onions, carrots, then I brought in lavrushka with pepper and salted. Well, in general I am curious from time to time, so I drop in.
Soon the cartoon will beep, I will continue to do as you said - take out the meat and disassemble it, and leave the liquid on the machine. heated, and then filter and pour.
Thank you
Daffi
My jellied meat was cooked, the meat turned out excellent, as it should, now it stands and freezes.

Thank you for your help
May @
Daffi, here's an alarmist, and she said raw meat.
rusja
If you don’t respond, we will write to Sportloto
Has it frozen without gelatin? I also like it to freeze itself, so I put a lot of gelling "spare parts - rats, tails, ears, they really take up a lot of space, but they freeze - like rubber! I haven't tried cooking in the cartoon yet, two Kenwood slow cookers are enough for my eyes - 4.5 and 6 liters.
Daffi
Angry girls
But they helped, I did as they wrote and everything worked out. Otherwise, I would not know what to do - take it out or cook further and run like a chicken without a head. Gelatin is not added, it already freezes.
I'm not sure if I will repeat the experiment with boiling jellied meat in a slow cooker, but the result is not bad, everything froze, boiled down as expected, so I put a solid five

By the way, I stewed chicken legs for 1 hour in a cartoon, so the next day all the liquid gravy turns into jellied meat, the deliciousness is so simple
May @
No, we are not evil, we are just for fun.
So I didn't understand, if you liked the result, why don't you want to cook in a cartoon anymore? In my opinion, it is very convenient, in the evening I threw it away, in the morning I cut the order. What didn't you like? I was just worried from ignorance, worried, but now you are with experience ...
