Rice

Category: Dishes from cereals and flour products

Ingredients

Rice 1 tbsp.
Water 1 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp
Butter 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • I don't have a rice cooker. Maybe someone can use my rice cooking process. I cook in a pressure cooker, a tricky saucepan, but I like it.
  • Rinse the rice, put in a saucepan, add everything else and put on high heat until boiling. Close as expected, reduce heat to low and leave for 8-10 minutes.
  • All. I open the lid after 20-25 minutes, having previously let off steam through the valve. I also cooked buckwheat and pearl barley.

Time for preparing:

25 minutes

The pressure cooker has no particular advantages in terms of cooking time for rice (10 minutes for boiling water in a regular saucepan + 15 minutes for actually cooking cereals). But it doesn't run out of the pressure cooker onto the stove! I never tried to cook cereals in a pressure cooker when I had one. And soak barley before cooking or pour it like that?

Eh, I wanted to postpone all purchases until the completion of the renovation in the kitchen, but it seems that I still don't live very well without a pressure cooker.
