I put the balls straight from the bucket with a spoon and make them. They are not hollow, although any can be made. Here you need to try and experiment. Try it on ice cream of different degrees of freezing (it is easier to make a ball not very frozen)
ju1ietta
Lena, tips: the ice cream should be slightly melted, and the spoon ALWAYS moistened with water. It is more convenient to get it not from the bucket, but from the trough - this way you can make the "path" longer. Immerse the spoon as deep as possible in the ice cream (you still won't be able to drown it too deeply, unless the ice cream is too liquid) and lightly roll it along the trough with a spoon. Ice cream is collected in a ball. If you immerse it deep enough, there will be no hollowness. Turn the spoon over the bowl, remove it using the pull-out mechanism. Try it and good luck!

Girls, thank you. I will train. And what is the minimum length of the trough?
ju1ietta
Lena, it means that the "trough" form factor (that is, the horizontal arrangement of the container) is preferable to the "bucket" (the vertical arrangement). Therefore, the size is not too critical.

I have such molds. To be honest, I'm not crazy about them. Those that are flat are more convenient than stars. The portion turns out to be small, to get it you can just insert one cell into a glass of hot water.

I have a second option (non-stars). I don't use hot water. Silicone molds are soft, easy to turn out. I just first pull back the sides, and then, pulling the stick ring, I easily pull out the ice cream. Simple and fast.

Please tell me how you get ready-made ice cream. I have such molds, I just can't adapt to them. There are no problems with Ikeevsky, similar ones. Thank you!
ju1ietta
Katya, plastic molds are dipped for a couple of seconds in boiling water or under running hot water
Gael
Well yes. I do so, but I have to shove everything at once. Is that what you do?
ju1ietta
Katya, I don't have such people.
But I see three possible options.
1. Remove all ice creams, wrap in foil or plastic, and refrigerate unless immediate consumption is required.
2. I'm not sure, but from the photo it seems that the molds are still quite separated and connect only at the very top. Is it not possible to lower them individually in a small container with flat sides and hot water?
3. A jet of running hot water can be sufficiently targeted to influence selected molds.
Gael
Thank you. I will try further. One by one is inconvenient. Here's a wrap, that's an idea. It still seems to me that the individual ones are much more convenient
Darinka35
But I still can't get ice cream, it's easier to buy.
Alenka212
Tell me, pliz. What is the diameter of the ejector spoon to buy? 4.5 or 6 cm? Even a spoon is difficult to choose, let alone ....
Manna
Classic balls 4.5 cm, their weight is approx. 70 gr. And 6 cm in diameter are larger balls - somewhere 90-100 gr. (conventionally, of course, the weight depends largely on the type of ice cream)
Alenka212
Thank you. I went to choose.

By the end of the season I tried silicone molds. It seemed to me that they are more convenient to use than the usual vertical ones - they are easy to reach.
The first one came out a bit with air, but overall I am very satisfied.
