Boiled halibut with spicy bread crumbs

Ingredients

halibut fillet 2 pcs.
salt taste
white wheat bread 1 slice
vegetable oil 1-2 tbsp. l.
ground black pepper taste
For serving: boiled rice and fresh grapefruit.

Cooking method

  • In general, not so much a recipe as an option for serving fish, combining a mixture of different textures - boiled fish and crispy spicy bread crumbs, combined with a sweet and sour refreshing and cool taste of grapefruit and aromatic rice. The dish does not take much time to prepare, looks appetizing and has a balanced taste.
  • Pour the prepared fish with a small amount of cold filtered water, bring to a boil, add salt and simmer until tender with a slight boil.
  • Grind 1 slice of bread into crumbs, pour into a dry preheated frying pan, dry until golden brown, adding a little vegetable oil, salt and black pepper during cooking. Pour the crumbs onto a plate and cool.
  • Cook boiled rice for a side dish.
  • When serving the dish, serve with slices of fresh grapefruit, bread crumbs and boiled rice.
  • * Halibut can be substituted for cod and orange or pike perch with lemon by adding a little zest when making bread crumbs.

The dish is designed for

2 servings.

Halibut can be replaced with cod
I'll try with halibut first. At the weekend I will go to a fish store, we have one that is not bad, and next week I will report.

Corsica, very interesting fish feed. It will be necessary to cook. Probably, some piquancy will be present. An exciting range of tastes and smells!
It will be very interesting to try.
Corsica, thanks!

Rituslya, Rita, to your health! This option is good because, in general, it does not affect the taste of the main ingredient - fish, and if they do not coincide with your own taste preferences, you can easily treat additions as decorative decorations for a dish - leave them aside.
