Homemade Fanta from orange peels

Ingredients

oranges (peel only) 4 things.
filtered water 1.7 l.
sugar 1 kg. 200 BC
lemon acid 2 tsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Take the peel of 4 oranges, pour 1.7 liters of water (pre-soak the oranges in hot water a little and rinse well with a brush), bring everything to a boil, remove from heat and set aside for a day in the kitchen.
  • 2. Then we take out the peel, twist it through a meat grinder and again put it in the orange infusion (pre-boil the infusion again), set it aside for another day.
  • 3. Then we filter all this, add 1 kg 200 g of granulated sugar to the mixture, bring to a boil. When it cools a little, put a couple of teaspoons of citric acid, mix well (until completely dissolved), put in the refrigerator.
  • It turns out an orange syrup, we drink it, diluting it as we like it (you can use mineral water, you can just drink some water).
  • It turns out from this amount of about 2 liters. VERY similar to FANTU if diluted with soda.

Note

The recipe is very, very old. Here's something I remembered. I decided to repeat it. And she exhibited it for you, maybe it will come in handy for someone.

Mila1, Lyudmila, this is how orange syrup for homemade forfeits turns out. If it is diluted with a carbonated mineral water, then the children will drink with pleasure.

Svetochka, this is really a thick syrup It turns out very economically, but if diluted with soda. then straight fanta The difference is only in ohm. what we know what we drink
Tumanchik
Lyudochka, it's true! They did it from both lemon and orange! Thank you so much dear for reminding me!
Wildebeest
Mila1Yes, Lyudmila, we will know what we drink, we will know that we have natural sugar there, and not its substitutes, sweeteners.

Irochka, I have him for 31 years in the book how she got married, young specialists lived in the hostel, and there, like on our bread maker, there was no Internet, everyone came from different parts of the country, so there was an exchange of recipes

Svetochka, that's for sure And I also like that this is a syrup in the beginning. You can adjust the drink in a jug or glass to your liking

Svetlenki
LudmilaThanks for the recipe! A great idea for both children and non-drinkers (these also happen at the New Year's table).

Ludmila, waste-free production 🔗 Hopefully I can catch the skins before throwing them in the trash. I cooked from whole oranges, but not from skins. I'll bookmark it. Holidays on the nose. So I will surprise my peasants.

AlbinaAlbinochka, when the children still lived at home, I always cut the oranges into four petals, carefully removed and dried. And then I knew for sure that I needed 16 quarters per serving. It was very convenient. And now the children have grown up, I have left and have already forgotten the recipe, but here I remembered something before the New Year. Children will come, and even now there are no drinkers in the BIG family too
Mila1
The girls also forgot to write that when I filter the already scrolled skins, I filter through the gauze and squeeze VERY GOOD so that everything works out. As I was taught in due time and I am doing, I think this is also an important point! I wish you all good forfeits !!!

Great recipe! Gone and a notebook forever and ever.
When cooking, I added half of a lemon that was bored idle. I did not add citric acid - after removing the sample, I decided that the taste was fine.
1. With highly carbonated mineral water - magical. The children (who used to say “Mom, can Sasha / Masha / Danya also have a drink with us?” I don’t count) were delighted. They said they tasted better than store-bought soda (which they don't often say, to be honest).
2. Added as a flavoring to the cake. It turned out fragrant.
3. I liked adding syrup to hot black tea - it slightly sweetens the tea without cloying and gives a "New Year" flavor. When outside the window -20 with the wind, then a cup of such tea, in the warmth, but under the New Year's movie - very soulful. Even without cookies.
Now all the orange peels, as well as half-eaten orange slices (sometimes we have this) and lemon tails, go to freeze. Tangerine peels - there too. And from the freezer, as needed, to the phantom.
Many thanks to the author!

IvaNova, Ira, thank you very much !!!!! For such a detailed report! I am very glad that you, your loved ones and even the neighbour's children liked it. It means that I did not waste the time to draw up and display the recipe. It is truly homey, proven for decades. When the children were small, I also collected all the crusts (all the more so then with citrus fruits it was tense, I just couldn't buy it all year round), now I have forgotten a little, and then I remembered (my granddaughter appeared and began to remember old recipes) I now still have oranges, before than remove the peel from them, soak in a solution (not mine, purchased) for 5 minutes. which will dissolve this wax coating and what they are treated with in stores, and then wash off. But when it was not, I just soaked it in hot water for a few minutes. and then washed off well with a brush.

Yes Yes Yes! Now I also soak all citrus fruits in hot water, followed by washing with a brush
