Brushwood

Ingredients

Flour 1 h
Egg 1 PC
Milk / water 1 h
Granulated sugar 2 tbsp. l
Salt pinch
Vanilla taste
Vodka 50 g

Cooking method

  • I took the recipe from my mother (it was written by my grandmother's hand, on the stub of a sheet) It lay in an old box along with the forms.
  • # Pour oil into a deep ladle. We set to warm up on the fire.
  • # At this time, knead the dough. Just mix everything up. Add vodka at the very end. Mix.
  • Thickness of the dough, like for pancakes. We set the dough aside.
  • # The oil has flared up (release the toothpick there, if bubbles appear around it - the oil is ready)
  • We take the form, heat it in oil for a minute.
  • Then we quickly transfer it into the dough, for a few seconds, immerse it almost to the brim.
  • Transfer to oil and wait for it to brown.
  • When the brush is ready, it easily falls off the mold.
  • # Put the finished brushwood on a napkin to remove excess oil.
  • # Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and enjoy a crispy yummy!
  • Brushwood

The dish is designed for

25-30 pcs

Time for preparing:

30 minutes.

Cooking program:

Deep fat

Note

Mom said that vodka must be added always and so that the brushwood does not absorb too much oil.

Girls, what kind of molds do you use?
My granny made brushwood with basins, only of the usual shape, an inverted diamond. Oh, it was a wonderful time!

Maria, thanks! But ..... how not to stop the running Bison ..... so yesterday at 4 am in Almaty I scored these same forms on the Internet and found this set on a hammer. Who would have thought. There are many different ones. And there are also modern options in the online store.

Yes, as a child, I was also fond of baking such brushwood. Now I don't even know which of the sisters has this mold. I definitely don't have it. And not on Ali?

Hollow flowers ask for a filling, probably .. you need to think about how you can fill them, so that they are light, so that the flower itself does not break ...

Bon Appetit! Something I haven't cooked for a long time. Try with the fillings, but they are delicious anyway.
