Austrian hot chocolate (Heisse schokolade osterreich)

Ingredients

bitter chocolate 100 g
zest of one orange
milk 1.5 stk
ground cinnamon 0.5 tsp
cocoa powder 2 tbsp
heavy cream 4 tbsp
ground cinnamon pinch to serve

Cooking method

  • Austria is the third largest consumer of chocolate in the world. Today I propose to make aromatic hot chocolate. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, add some of the milk, cinnamon, zest (I added 1 teaspoon with hot water, it seemed to me a lot of whole orange). Stir cocoa in the rest of the milk, a long process. Pour into the chocolate mass, stirring constantly and bring to a boil. We filter the drink into mugs through a strainer to remove the zest. Put the cream on top, if yours is not thick, then you need to whip the heavy cream to the peaks, sprinkle with cinnamon.

The chocolate market displays all sorts of delicious dishes, including handmade chocolates and confectionery.
