Soleier

Ingredients

eggs 5 pieces
water 1 l
salt 1 tbsp. l
allspice 2 peas
mustard seeds 1 tsp
Bay leaf 1
juniper berries 2-3 pcs.
chili pepper 1
black pepper 2-3 peas
caraway 1 tsp
rosemary 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • I saw this dish abroad many times, but never tried it. I decided to make such eggs according to a German recipe.
  • Boil eggs and cool in cold water.
  • Marinade:
  • Boil water with spices. Cool down.
  • Place the eggs in a jar and shake lightly so that cracks appear on the shell. You can tap on the shell with a teaspoon for the same effect.
  • Pour the cooled marinade over the eggs and refrigerate for 1-2 days.
  • Can be eaten by cutting into 2 halves and greased with mustard, or used for salads.

Note

I added a little vinegar to the brine.

Very interesting. And boil the eggs "hard boiled"? Is it tasty for your taste?
Ludmil_a
Tatyana, yes, hard boiled. I tried one egg after 2 days failed. Nice spice smell. I think let them stand for another day.

And if you clean them, and then pour the marinade? Then, probably, it will be marinated in 1 day,
Ludmil_a
izumka, in some recipes, eggs are filled with peeled marinade. Probably less time is needed this way.
