Ingredients

Pumpernickel 100 g
butter 1 tbsp. l
vanilla sugar 2 sachets
cherry (from a can) 15-200 gr
sugar 1.5 tbsp. l
cherry brandy 1 tbsp. l
cream 33-35% 150-200 gr

Cooking method

  • Pumpernickel is a universal bread. There are a huge variety of recipes for using it. I suggest you try a very tasty dessert.
  • For this you need.
  • Grind pumpernickel. It crumbles well, so you can easily do it with your hands.
  • Melt butter in a frying pan, add pumpernickel crumbs and fry, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with a packet of vanilla sugar and bring everything to light caramelization.
  • Cool completely.
  • Strain the cherries. Melt sugar slowly over medium heat. As soon as the sugar begins to darken, add the cherries and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in the cherry liqueur, stir, remove from heat and cool completely.
  • Whisk in the cream, add the second packet of vanilla sugar.
  • Put cream, crumbs and cherries alternately in a mold. Top layer of cream, garnished with cherries and crumbs.
  • Pomeranian Nectar (Pommersche Goetterspeise)

The dish is designed for

2 servings

Note

You can take any cherry, depending on the season: frozen, from a jar or fresh.

Gala, Hi!
I don’t get tired of wondering at you so many unusual recipes in your "history" and where do you find all this? ...
I will definitely try the dessert, very interesting !!!
I love real pumpernickel no less than Borodinsky
At first I thought that I would replace the cream with sour cream, but then I remembered the taste of ice cream made from Borodino bread and the fact that its bright taste was softened by the cream ... and I realized that I would try your dessert oh naturel
For your inexhaustible finds!
Gala
Irisha, Hi!
Try the dessert. Do not replace anything, do as in the recipe.
where do you find all this? ...
On the internet, of course. This is an abyss!

Irishahow long have you been away! Here you appear - it means soon to put gingerbread dough

... how long have you been away! Here you appear - it means soon to put gingerbread dough

Our frosts began abruptly, so right from yesterday it means - the end of the field season
And I'll put the gingerbread dough a little later, in a few days - an annual trip to the sanatorium. I'll be back somewhere in the middle of November, then I'll do both the dough and the competition with at least a couple of recipes to participate

Galina, photo and dessert look very nice! Only because of the photo I want and want to look
I'm going to make some dessert on a black background too
Gala
Tatyana, Thank you!
Now, if the cherries were fresh and not canned, the photo could have been brighter: a combination of red, black and white.

Galinka, thank you for your kind words, of course ... But here is not originality, but rather authenticity is needed ...
In connection with German cuisine, I have only lebkuchen, baumkuchen and sausages-sauerkraut - nothing else pops up in my memory Well, and pumpernickel, of course
By the way, your oriental version of baumkuchen just shocked me !!!

GalinkaWhat a delicious dessert she portrayed. The photos are good, and if you don't want to, you just look in. Imagine how delicious I probably spoiled my own people. My daughter says that she doesn't like pastries in cafes. This is what we brought them to
Gala
Larissa, it is very tasty. And what a cool caramelized pumpernickel crumb here! An amazing combination.
