Flemish potatoes in beer (Flamische kartoffeln)

Ingredients

Raw potatoes 500 g
Bulb onions 2 pcs.
Light beer 150 ml.
Sour cream 150 g
Grated cheese 100 g
Salt pepper
Grated nutmeg optional
Butter 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Flemish potatoes in beer (Flamische kartoffeln)
  • Cut the onion into half rings, simmer slightly in butter.
  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices, mix with half a light beer and a part of sour cream, grated cheese, add salt and pepper.
  • Flemish potatoes in beer (Flamische kartoffeln)
  • Can be made in a mold and baked in the oven.
  • If there is a multicooker, it is easier to make in it.
  • Grease the bowl with oil, spread 1/3 of the potato mass, put 1/3 of the stewed onion, then repeat everything ..
  • Pour the remaining beer and sour cream on top, put a piece of butter, put it on the "Baking" program - I put it on for 45 minutes.
  • When everything is over and you open the lid, the result can be a little disappointing - the sour cream will naturally curdle.
  • But it will not affect the taste in any way - very tasty!
  • I did it in the oven - but it turns out drier.

Note

Flemish - people of the Germanic language group

Ethnically, the Flemings are mostly descendants of the Germanic tribes of the Franks, Saxons and Frisians.
