most often it is enough to wipe it with a damp sponge and then wipe it dry with a paper towel.
If something is very fried, you can even pour some water, wait until it gets soaked, and then collect the water with the same sponge, or gently drain and wipe it.
But it is best to use a thin Teflon mat or mold, so that after use you can do with one damp cloth.
