Ingredients
Unpeeled lemons 6 pcs.
Apples 1 kg
Sugar 400 g
Thick honey 340 g
Whiskey (optional) 100 ml
Cooking method

1. Chop the lemons in a mixer. Cut apples with skin and core into large pieces. Pour into a saucepan with lemons and pour 1 liter. water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook without a lid for 1 hour.
2. Pass the boiled fruit through a sieve, pour into a clean saucepan and add sugar. When it is completely dissolved, bring the mixture to a boil.
Cook over high heat so that the mass is constantly boiling. Make sure that it does not burn at the same time!
Cook until thickened; stir as often as possible.
3. Add honey and whiskey if desired. Mix everything thoroughly and bring to a boil.

To begin with, let me explain that fruit and berry sandwich paste is similar to jam, but with a lower sugar content. It can be replaced here, for example, with honey. Aromatic and nutritious sandwich spreads have a mushy, viscous consistency. For a sophisticated taste, sometimes spices or alcohol are added to them.

Personally, I cook such a confiture without adding whiskey, but in the original of this recipe it has a place to be. Honestly, I did not cook this jam in cotton, but if you wish, you can also adapt this recipe. For me, this is a great addition to tea, and my husband loves to spread the resulting pasta on a sandwich. In general, lately I have been carried away by the preparation of precisely the so-called fruit and berry pastes ... there are a lot of recipes, only a small fraction of them have been tested ... this one was to the taste of the whole family.

I had a mixer, and so there was a nozzle with "knives" for it, something like a submersible blender, maybe this is what the author meant ( recipe from the book "Sweet canning").
