Lerchik, kaaaky krakhotulki-krasotulki! They really like it, but the angels don't have to. By the way, I liked your first one the most, the one that lowered his eyes. I took it to my zagashnichek. I like others very much. Well this is how fantasy works! I have three angels, and all are not mine. So I began to prepare for Valentin, I also copied the idea from Pinterest. Just a question. I'm not an expert in embroidery at all. I have only one, two, and all the work with embroidery, and even then large. Tell me, do you need to draw lines with a thin nozzle along and across, and then put the points in the cells with the same nozzle or take a larger one? Maybe I have become very frequent with lines, but I need to draw them a little wider from each other, so that there are a little more cells and fill them with dots from a larger nozzle? Or the same line and point? I drew everything No. 1.5 PME. Heart size 6.5 * 7.5 cm

P.S. The initials on two hearts are mine and my husband's, we had a nickel wedding on the 9th (28 years of marriage).

Tanyusha, sipaty hearts! How, always neat and gentle!
The nozzle poltorashka, as for me, is just right for the mesh, perhaps the icing needs a little denser, then the lines will be thinner and the dots will be smaller.
Quote: ledi

Tanya, I draw lines with 000 ateko (though the nozzle can get clogged), and 0 points with the nozzle.
I also want to bake hearts for the nurses for a present. But I probably can't cope with the embroidery yet, my hands are shaking. It is necessary to do something easier. Most likely I will fill it with icing.
Quote: DaNiSa

Tanya, made the hearts well! the lines are straight and neat, and even such tiny little ones
Quote: elena88

Mona1, Tanya, you have classic hearts, it's always a win-win. As for your question, ideally, for the mesh, the icing should be thicker and the nozzle thinner. But since I draw a grid without attachments, I can not advise anything else. And for points, icing is not necessary, but the points will be with peaks. Everything else
I also wanted to scold you, why are the words in Latin? Or is it an export order?
harmful78
Mona1, Tanya, your hearts just appeared here by order. I just thought that by February 14th it was necessary to make such, with varnish filling. And I wondered: how, in this case, to draw up the edge? Somehow I didn't see anything ... Your mesh is good, but I'm unlikely to master it - my eyes get very tired from it. At Christmas I drew a little, and then I tried to make the cells larger

Liza, cool gingerbread. The owlet is so cool, and very neat. Did you draw it on the fill or on the file first? I liked the teddy bears and, of course, the balls, even though they are just natural, look very presentable, especially when in such a package. I haven’t done such voluminous ones yet, I don’t have molds or anything else suitable.
Mona1, Tanya, Thank you. The owlet drew on the fill immediately.
Quote: Mona1

Liza, did you scratch the contour after filling the owlet, or did you outline it with a charcoal pencil? Or by the eye-diamond method?
Tanya, circled with a food marker along the outer contour and the mask on the face. And inside with the same marker I just marked

Cute bears. The theme of bears always touches me.
Shield and sword - austere and stylish design. I would still cover the gingerbread with transparent varnish.
Frog and owl. Nice and neat. The color scheme is pleasing to the eye.
Well, the balls are generally my love!
You have delighted me with your works indescribably.

At first I thought what they did at home. It turned out not. The author of the gingerbread is a well-known cake maker in our city. At least I've heard of her. And the reviews are kind of positive. And here it is ... It is clear that something was done, only to rip off a little more money before the holiday. It immediately became so unpleasant for me ... I would not give this for free, but here they sell it. They also don't hesitate to glue the logo.

Volumetric gingerbread is indescribable beauty, you infected me with them

Infected with gingerbread, here's a test of the pen ... Made on a chocolate chip cookie, icing without protein. She was in a hurry .. and crushed the kitten slightly ... ((
I have been staring at different gingerbreads for a long time, I wanted to try)) A kitten, which is a copy, to the famous gingerbread)) .. unexpectedly discovered for myself on a very inexpensive product (I will not say, you will laugh) photo below))

I am shocked by your test of the pen, very cool, well done !!
Quote: Mona1

pssaha, Tanya, wow, that's the firstborn! I just watch with my mouth open and I can't even imagine how such a volumetric-bewitching can be done. If it's not a secret, I would like to know the details. ))) And glaze without protein, what a recipe? I see it is kind of translucent.
pssaha
Girls, thanks for such and such praise!)) No secrets, I'll tell you everything.
Glaze recipe here
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=35010.0

Since there was a test, I did not bother much about the glaze)) it seems to be white .. it may be necessary to knead a little longer ... but it doesn't seem bad either))
of course, the base dried well for 24 hours. She translated the picture in pencil. Without diluting anything, as on a contour, she circled all parts of the body fatter. I waited a little .. 5 minutes ... And with the same glaze I began to fill the details ... The main thing is to start in descending order ... Fill the deepest first, and the most convex last. That is, the first belly, gave a little grab. Then paws, ears ... look at the picture .. where the details are deep, and where higher. The paws should stick out, therefore, a little later, apply the second layer .. While it dries up, we make the head .. the eyes should already be outlined. We don’t touch them anymore, black bead eyes will be planted there)
One ear is raised, so we make a thickening of the layer there .. Slightly the first layer grabbed ... it's 1-1.5 minutes somewhere .. I still blew it with a breeze)), apply a layer for the forehead, cheeks .. increase the forehead and cheeks by the third layer .. Add a nose with a tubercle .. You can return to the paws .. Where the paws stick up up, we make bumps. Let it dry longer ... Then fingers one at a time and paw pads. On the lower leg, also with a tubercle and add fingers .. We set the pink nose and eyes when the layers are windy ... it will not merge, but will stand in beads))
I wrote a lot, but in fact it took all the drawing no more than half an hour ... Of course, it dried up overnight .. but it didn't dry out all .. I couldn't wait to paint it) Therefore, there are flaws ..
Painted with black dry dye for flowers)
Seems a mustache) if something is not clear, ask) ..

Quote: harmful78

pssaha, Tatyana, young fellow! and how does smoothness appear? By itself? I wanted to say that layers, they do not simultaneously overlap and dry out. And the kitten turned out to be very smooth. No need to iron - iron?
And I also didn't understand from the glaze recipe: should you just mix or cook it?
Lisa, thanks!
Smoothness itself is obtained. The glaze itself is leveled as it should, but also does not spread. We don't wait long ... here you have to feel it .. She keeps her shape and lays down where necessary)
You don't need to cook anything .. I just stirred it with a silicone spatula)
Quote: Mona1

You know what this kitten reminds me of? - Such all sorts of things in glass are sold, insects, cockroaches, and a kitten, as if the figure was made and immersed in translucent glass, looks very unusual and superb! What does this glaze feel like? Not sticky after drying? And how does she behave when the gingerbread is already packed in cellophane, for example, does not get soaked?
The glaze does not stick at all, it looks like icing ... but I took it only for testing .. I quickly and simply stirred it)) ... the cookies are lying, it seems that nothing happens to them ... But all the same I will work on order with icing)
Quote: JuliAnna81

I know that not all of the painting on the gingerbread came out perfectly. Of the minimum attachments, I had 1 and 00. I have no idea how to work with the 00 attachment (although I was so happy when it came !! and now it lies idle), and 1 for painting was thick. I'm not very good friends with the cornet, because I have enough of it for very little time - firstly, the cut does not come out round and, accordingly, the icing, and secondly, the tip begins to shaggy after a while, icing in it (at the tip), it dries up quickly and begins to hammer it (tip). I replaced it with a cornet made of polyethylene (as for a cream), but there, too, the cut comes out flat and with icing it is necessary to adapt in order to put it correctly! Yes, and flat, and not round in cross-section, I don't really like it, although the fineness of the line turns out what I need .... Maybe someone will tell me what about this situation ??? otherwise I still have to paint, and the nozzles needed in the near future are not expected ..

Well, and take a picture too, everything is on the run and on the phone !! It will also be necessary to build at least some kind of mini stand for beauty ...
Quote: pssaha

JuliAnna81, Julia, to me for you) and of course I will answer all questions)
The typesetters look smart, especially snowflakes on red!)) If you fill your hand, everything will be fine!
I don’t like the nozzles because they are still smeared with icing .. in mine the edge of the hole is rounded ... it’s nice to make bags of dense cellophane. The cut is clear and the bag does not tear)
Quote: ledi

Yulia, Very interesting gingerbread! It will get better over time. And what brand of attachments do you have? Why aren't you using 00? I use Atek's
Quote: DaNiSa

JuliAnna81, Julia, your gingerbread has delighted me! you know, such a New Year's delight!
I liked all the snowflakes! all!
I didn't like the little people, but it's all because of the faces, are they really small? just when the eyes and lips are drawn so thickly, the whole impression deteriorates, can you draw faces with a felt-tip pen?
Quote: Irina Fina

JuliAnna81, Julia, I really liked your snowflakes, such beautiful patterns !!!!!! I don't think the lines are thick at all. I drew patterns with a 1.5 PME nozzle, next time I will be 1PME. They have a very good hole, the icing comes out well, I also tried to draw with Wilton nozzles, they have 1 like 1.5PME in the diameter of the hole, but in Wilton the hole seems to me a little rounded. So now I only use RM E.
And with cornetics, I also suffered, while there were no nozzles, all the time the icing dried out in the tip.
My attachments are not branded at all - some were in some kind of set (in the photo, the top row - on both it is written number 2, but they are clearly different !!)
and the smallest one (in the photo, the bottom row is right) - ordered on Ali, it is written PME 0, but I do not know how much this is true. I can't work for her at all, it's generally unrealistic to squeeze something out of her
We decorate gingerbread cookies, cookies

Irina Fina, DaNiSa, Thank you for your kind words! The girls here inspired me to feats

Yes, I agree, the faces of the little men will have to be drawn differently next time. Thank you for your opinion - I will definitely consider it !!
Tanya, I didn't understand ... well, the nozzles get smeared with icing, so I keep the napkin nearby. And the edge of the hole is rounded - is it rounded in all the nozzles ?! or what was meant?
but at the expense of the package, I agree that it does not tear and it is more convenient compared to a paper cornet, but do you manage to make a round section when cutting? I have, due to the fact that the pastry bag has sealed edges on the sides, when cutting off the tip, a flat hole comes out. And when squeezing out of the hole, a thin STRIP of icing comes out, and not a tube .. I already tried to glue the spout of the cornet paper with tape for rigidity, but this also did not help much, because the paper inside the cornet was twisted with a cone and over time it behaved badly in the area of the tip itself, and the cornet itself in the place where you hold it with your fingers was torn over time ... I understand that a normal nozzle will solve this problem, but still it is not there yet, what can be done? and in general, how many videos I watch, half the time they work with a cornet, and half with a nozzle ..
Quote: elena88

JuliAnna81, Julia, perhaps upon closer examination, you can see some jambs, but in general everything looks decent and festively elegant. The rest will come with experience. I mainly use cellophane bags. It works for me. Probably someone who was used to it initially. Cornetics do not work out for me categorically. And I am not very friendly with nozzles yet, unfortunately.

I would be interested to know who and how studied? In my environment, except for you, no one does this and ask, except that there is no one here. I myself am on the internet, of course, lazy and look, but can anyone share a good link to good lessons ?!
And yet, who is more experienced in painting, tell me - fantasy comes with experience when painting gingerbread, or is it either given or not? And then I have so far only licks obtained with little liberties and I want to pile something original !!
Quote: Vei

comes with experience, especially gifted ones have it right away, but this is not necessary))

And about dry, now ... and did not think)) I will do it while on it)) Thank you!)
Quote: harmful78

Anjela1, you need another filler, certainly. On such a filler, the gingerbread cookies are completely lost. And to understand that they are really beautiful, you have to look closely. If you take the color, then you need to be paler and softer. And sometimes it’s better not to match, I’m something close. Can be light salad or yellow. Colored filler in general is a tricky thing, you need to be careful with it. I got used to using it in brown and white gingerbread

In principle, craquelure on gingerbread does not seem appetizing to me, but here it looks like peeling oil paint in the entrance, Sorry for being straightforward.
actually on the gingerbread from the previous page with craquelure, the craquelure itself was at least neat, but absolutely not appetizing and not at all Provence. In Provence, it is not necessary to use white, but milky and tinted ... In general, this whole theme was not very successful.

Tanya, is this on dry dye? Few cracks, maybe a thin layer? For me, this craquelure is such a mystery, I still can't understand it in any way, what and how ?!
Yes, dry .. You can't please: lol: some peeling paint, some cracks))
Nothing complicated ... if you want small cracks, a thin layer, more liquid .. If, more submissive)) - thick thick.
I don't dry it with a hairdryer ... it blows off the mustache in 2000 W)) Into the oven at 50 degrees and convection for a couple of minutes ..
Quote: Vei

Tanya, the fact of the matter is that you have practically no cracks there, you have thick sloppy layers of paint, which are only in some places with cracks, and the entrance resembled a blue color. In any case, in my old house from childhood, the walls in the entrance were painted in such a blue color and with a repeated thick layer, in general, I'm sorry, but your first experience with craquelure, in my opinion, was not very successful. It is better to change the color and add cracks so that they are a small openwork mesh, the paint layer should not be thick, and the paint itself should not be very thick.

But on our forum there are girls who have not been to any courses or MK at all, but create amazing works (the same Nansy, for example). So there is still much that depends on the person. I tried the first 2 months myself, but now I understand that it is better with courses, the main thing is to get to a good master. Everyone praises Bradis very much, I like her work and the work of her students too, but I myself have not been to her MC, so I can not say anything. I think she will teach you a lot.

Try it, first try a couple of three recipes, icing, there are also several recipes, try it, in general, if you are determined to go all the way to MK, it is better that you try something yourself at home, then it will be easier for you on MK, not confused there.
thanks for the advice girls!

Mona1, Tanya, the name is possible. Or even two. Something like "Sasha + Masha"

By the way, no matter how you twist, but from the craquelure, after the finished work has dried, separately applied elements fly around like autumn leaves. Therefore, for reliability and in order to avoid disappointment after buying such a gingerbread, it is still worth combining all the elements for reliability.

Nata, beautiful snowflakes, such convex ones, I love the roundness in gingerbread, especially when the surface sparkles from varnish on these roundness. Lerochka has a wonderful varnish! And the drawing on the snowflake is very symmetrical, all the lines are even and in the right places. And I do not dare to paint such snowflakes yet, because I have not all ice with symmetry yet.

Girls, look what I found ... maybe the idea is not new, but the principle can be applied to different forms
🔗
Quote: Mona1

pssaha, Tanya, yes, the idea is not new. Small boxes can be done this way, I just recently asked about a box in the shape of a heart with monpansyeshkas if they would get wet. I also thought so to do it. But dont know. The edges are usually thinner after baking, and the gingerbread themselves are slightly convex. If you put one on top of the other, then, like a pyramid with rings, there will be uneven sides. Maybe this is done from dough without soda? Or are the sides trimmed?
Quote: ledi

Tanya, I agree with you. I failed with Lerin's test. You need to either dough from Gerda or something else, or press down after baking
Mona1, I agree .... in the photo they are all flat))) I have such cookies (for 1 egg, 200 butter, 200 sugar, 400 flour) mixed and for an hour in the cold ... thickness 5-7 mm by 8-10 minutes. It turns out smooth ... it can be shocking if you replace 50 g with cocoa ...
Quote: elena88

Girls, ideally - this is shortbread dough (or how else is it called sugar, or what?) Dough. There will be no such smooth edges from gingerbread, and the surface - you know - is convex. May the light not converge like a wedge on these boxes! So many other interesting things - the eyes run up!

And the girls also wrote to me from a woman who said that they were treated to the Christmas trees that they ordered from me. And that the children could not gnaw them from such yesterday, the dream was gone. Because I baked all New Years according to Lera's recipe. They even had no time to lie down - they dried them in an ambulance and in packages. I was afraid that they would break, they were so soft. And here is ... did not sleep at midnight. My sister even said that it was competitors who were writing to me and mocking me.
Quote: Katerina79

Liza, well, they are definitely not clients!
I had gingerbreads on Lera's dough for six months and they become dense like cookies, but not hard !!!
Katerina79, I also lay, they become exactly like shortbread cookies. And yesterday they asked me the weight of one gingerbread and (!) The amount of fat in 100 grams of the product. That was such a day
Quote: Katerina79

Liza, well, how did you calculate?
Quote: pssaha

Lisa, here really someone is mocking ... Girls, sometimes, they write such stories, it's straight `` Santa Barbara ''))
Quote: pssaha

Well, this has already been bent))) if you want to)) Hang in grams?)))
Quote: Mona1

harmful78, Liza, did you ask this "writer" who exactly treated her? In general, I always project the situation onto myself. For example, I was treated to gingerbread, and it is hard. What will I do. Soak it in tea, throw a gingerbread to my husband (he will chew everything) or feed it to the birds. But it will even come to my mind to look for the one who made this gingerbread, look for contacts, call or write to a stranger to tell something (well, except for cases when some harm was done to health, such as broken teeth, poisoning, etc. other things, but it's just a hard gingerbread). All this is suspicious.
Or maybe the trees were with holes for hanging on the tree? It is quite possible then that this lady was presented with a Christmas tree after two weeks of hanging on an artificial tree, which stood right next to the radiator. Maybe the gingerbread has dried up, of course.
This incident reminded me of another, someone already told me (Liza, didn't you?) That the husband of one client took the gingerbread, and she then wrote that almost all of them were broken).
Lizok, don't be upset. The main thing is that you know that you are right, which means that someone just decided to chase you for some reason. You never know enemies. I had such a story, however, it does not apply to gingerbread, I hid it under the spoiler.

I used to give English lessons at home for schoolchildren, so it is clear that someone did not like the lessons. In one of the New Years about 10 years ago, at 3 o'clock in the morning, we woke up from a roar and ringing, as if a sideboard with dishes had fallen, it turns out that a firecracker (from a rocket launcher) was shot at us right through the window, and it was not by chance that it flew in, but aimed right in front of our window , the rocket broke through both windows, the curtain, the curtain, hit a crystal vase with apples (the crystal melted and turned black in this place), flew over the kitchen and fell in the corridor. We were already asleep, ran into the kitchen, everything was in smoke, the curtain was burning with a huge flame, the rocket in the corridor was smoking. In general, they put out the fire. Now I am not out of the house on New Year's Eve. And after the chimes, she walked away from the windows, while fireworks were firing there), because if then someone stood at the window, then if you did not die, then you would remain a cripple for life. True, this New Year and last year we have no fireworks, other "fireworks" have weaned from being afraid of such trifles.

Quote: Nansy

Gee, in front of NG, one wanted to order 3 kg of gingerbread monkeys After I heard the price per piece, I ordered 5 pieces
Quote: Katerina79

Mona1, Tanya, it's good that everything went without sacrifices!
Katerina, no. I gathered all my strength so as not to get rude. I wrote that the fats in the finished product are not just oil. Again, according to the products, the amount of fat in the dough will be obtained, but not in the finished product. And 1 kg of dough is not equal to 1 kg of gingerbread.
Tanya, Mona1, because of this I am not upset. The main thing here is that from such questions, everything inside me boils with righteous (or unrighteous) anger. But you cannot give vent to emotions - there is always a percentage that a simple person could write it. I was more upset by plagiarism. Yesterday I again found a gingerbread in the insta like mine, one to one - and the drawing, and the border, and the size, and even the inscription. And today Avito has a diaper cake, exactly the same as I do. Only cheaper. In short, I was upset. But all these strange questions became clear
Quote: Nansy

Liza, it's completely pointless to get upset because of this, it was, is and will be. Well, at first we all plagiarized, too, and I still sin with this :) Everything that we posted on the Internet immediately became public domain Do not be upset, they plagiarize, so there is something, you can even be proud of it!
I was more upset because it was not a novice master who plagiarized it, but an aunt cake maker who has several thousand subscribers. And in general, I do not understand plagiarism within the same locality. Especially as small as ours. The only consolation is that the quality is many times worse.
Quote: DaNiSa

Liza, to be honest, you made me laugh with your own words)) Well, imagine the situation, the customer brings a photo of the product (it doesn't matter if it's a gingerbread, cake, vase ... whatever!) And says - I want this one, and you answer him, I can’t do this because the master did it in our area? yes, the customer does not care who the author of this work is, it is important that he wants it for himself
Quote: ledi

Tanyusha, it seems to me he will still be loose and you won't break your teeth
Quote: ledi

Liza! Rejoice! you enjoy success means !!!! And I almost always plagiarize. Will you stop being friends with me now?
Quote: Mona1

Liza, I agree, I also want my gingerbreads to be recognizable in appearance, design and taste in the immediate environment of the place where I live, and so that only me have such, I myself will never copy anything, or ask about the secrets of his dough or icing recipe. Here at HP we openly share everything with each other, we live in different places and even different countries, and therefore, in principle, we are not competitors. Although there is a girl here who lives not just in the same city as me, but in a neighboring house. And not only lives, but a very good master, not a beginner. Hope we don't fight.
Quote: Mona1

No, it's not about a customer that Liza would not have known about, and no one would, in principle, as I understood, but the fact that Lizin's gingerbread was posted as not Lizin in wide access to the order for anyone.
Quote: DaNiSa

so I understood that it was some experienced craftswoman who made a gingerbread according to Lisa's sketch and Liza does not like it ... I will go and reread the story again
Quote: DaNiSa

well it is written - gingerbread like mine! Liza, if this is your gingerbread, then just write to this craftswoman that it is useless to exhibit other people's work under your own name! this, of course, is real plagiarism, it does not look very beautiful! and if she just copied the work and did it herself, then this is her business, so they ordered one
Quote: ledi
I think he will still be loose and you won't break your teeth
Everything seems right to you. I collected such gingerbread at home for 2 weeks, sent them to Norilsk, from there several were taken to Krasnodar and they were not solid. They were crumbly like shortbread cookies.I already spat on that. I offered to order a couple of pieces for trial, but after that my aunt disappeared. And with plagiarism calmed down. You just have to get used to it. As my friend says: mine will not leave me, and if it does, then it was not mine. Besides, the gingerbread was at least repeated. And not like it was with the works of Tatyana Koshantaeva - they put up her photo. So I'm still lucky
Quote: harmful78

So I'm such a crow. I was approached with such a request 1 time, they sent a photo of a set of a local craftswoman - she only deals with gingerbread. So I refused, said that I have a lot of my works, let's collect something from them. Anyway, it's just nerves

my child does not go to kindergarten for more than 3 days, he is sick. The last time I did it twice. And then it turned out that while sleeping in our group, the windows are opened. Mommy alone took a video, specially guarded. Despite the fact that on the street -30

I can make one more assumption, we recently finished eating the gingerbread house, the dough was mazeshkalach, the gingerbread itself is quite soft, but only my son had enough patience to gnaw the icing, very hard, maybe this is the catch? Customers do not care where the carrot is, where the icing is, they perceive the product as a whole. But this is me, as an assumption ...
Maria, I also assumed this - I remembered how the girls wrote here that they did not like the icing. But it is tough, but not hard. Anyway, the dog is with them, as they say

Girls, in no way I stand up for careless educators, I just tell you: when we just moved to Germany, it shocked me here: gardens, schools, institutions, endless opening of windows, in the cold too. I was constantly freezing! And now I'm so used to it, I just can't sleep with the window closed (the condition is a warm blanket), the window is open all winter, not minus 30, of course we have, but it's 10 now. And children in the kindergarten, even with closed windows, will get sick, infections - the sea, there is no immunity, until everyone gets sick, they will get stronger. It is not very comforting when you see your child in torment, but we all go through it, unfortunately. You know, we have chickenpox gatherings here (this is when a child gets sick, and others come with the children to visit to get infected, to get sick before school and not to miss school.
Yes, all gingerbread is beautiful !!! : girl_dance: love, kiss
elena88
Larissa u, Larochka, hello! Finally you came, otherwise I was already beginning to worry. I agree with you. You need to get sick, you need to temper. But we didn’t go to the garden yet, and we didn’t get sick. Although they studied in the studio and swam in the pool, and went everywhere. Never even sneezed. Just went to the garden, two weeks later I fell ill and for almost two years we have been sick and sick and there is no end in sight. I have already tried not to treat a cold, let the body fight. Yeah, almost got to bronchitis. We barely had time to see the doctor. But one ear was already blocked, although it did not complain about it, and the breathing was hard and the cough was bad. This was the end of our self-recovery. We are again making money for doctors and pharmacies. Already tired, I have no strength. They put adenoiditis of 1-2 degrees, allergic rhinitis is questionable. The nose is constantly clogged, we rinse it endlessly, drip it. Already all the leading specialists of the city were bypassed. There is no sense. All candidates and associate professors, damn it. We have been treated all last winter. It's a little better in summer. I hate our gardens !!! : girl_cray: These are breeding grounds for infection. But even without them, nowhere. At home he has no one to communicate with. I'm yes dad. He is an only child on the whole street. The weather is such that you don't take a long walk, and it's boring alone. Like a child alone. Today we went to another clinic again. Allergy markers passed. Nothing was confirmed. Damn, why then snot? I reread everything Komarovsky. The humidifier is working, there are no carpets or upholstered furniture. The food is healthy. Analyzes like an astronaut. Maybe he's allergic to this fucking garden? Sorry for such an emotional off. It just boiled, already tearing the roof.

Girls, excuse me for the stupid question, are the stripes drawn with icing for filling or usual density? (third minute of video)

Vera, ledi, I took a little thicker than the potting. Filling is also possible, but then it flows out faster and thin stripes are more difficult to draw, skill is needed. And if the usual density, then it may not spread

Quote: fomca

elena88, well! I miss the border - the dots and that's it! There will be a finished look!
fomca, do you think about dots too?
Quote: Mona1

elena88, Len, cute kids, I made the outline very accurately, wonderful figures. You know, I looked, I looked. I remembered my day before yesterday's casts on the file. I made a cupid, white and exactly the same, red. Then she put the white one on the red cloth, and the red cupid on the white one. And you know, it's just amazing, but red - finally looks wild on white, but white on red - gorgeous. You have black, it seems to me, even sharper than red contrasts with white. Maybe this is the case? If you try to make white figures on a dark background.
Mona1, Tanya, I was still thinking about making a series of white silhouettes on a red background. But that's not the point. Black on white suits me perfectly. So I think, on the edge of what? Feeling of incomplete work. I tried to airbrush it in red along the edge. How the road sign "Caution children" looks I don't even want to show it.
Quote: harmful78

elena88, you need a border of dots. And multi-colored - white, black, red. I'll throw a photo of you in a personal now, I made interesting silhouettes to order
Quote: Irina Fina

elena88, Lena very well traced silhouettes! Did you cast them on the file or straight on the gingerbread? I agree with the girls, if you make a border of dots, you will have a finished look.
Quote: pssaha

Handsomely! The fill is a little uneven) .. it happens when I'm in a hurry))
Maybe add some toning ...)
Quote: Vei

Lena, you messed up with filling, so you definitely need to cover this business and not with toning, she will only emphasize everything. The dots here absolutely do not fit in style, you just need to make a frame with a white edging-line.
Quote: Katerina79

elena88, Lena, the silhouettes turned out great, and on the sides you can do this: you put a dot and stretch a little, again a dot and stretch. It will be like a chain. Well, I would still have more red hearts
Quote: ok

+1, there is not enough framing, red dotted line along the contour, and so - a masterpiece
Quote: sugar

elena88, Lenus, superb silhouettes! I agree with the girls - there is not enough edging, you can circle around the perimeter with red drops, as Katyusha prompts.
Quote: DaNiSa

for me the edging is not enough, but it's just lovely! very nice! Linen, does a lot of black paint go?
Girls, thanks for the advice. With the fill this time and the truth is some kind of garbage. I don't even understand what is it? I could not adjust the consistency, then it freezes quickly, although not thick, it lays down like bumps. That is liquid, it does not hold its shape, it flows ... Probably, there are days in life when it is better not to take on responsible matters.
Quote: Irina Fina

elena88Did you cast them on the file or straight on the gingerbread?
Ira, she drew silhouettes on gingerbread. They are large enough and have a lot of small details. It is hardly possible to transfer them without sacrifice and destruction. DaNiSa, Alena, black paint leaves a little. There is a little bit of icing needed for the silhouettes. So a couple of drops dripped and that's it. I use Amerikolor.

Irina Fina, Ira, you've got a wonderful fish! And, I don’t know, maybe this is some kind of epidemic, but they also ordered me to make a gingerbread for a fishing lover, I finished today, tomorrow I’ll take a picture and show it. True, I cut someone's gingerbread, found it in Google. If this is one of our girls, I hope we will not quarrel. ))) By the way, I found another other gingerbread on the theme of fisherman and fishing, I liked it more, decided that I would not plagiarize, it was a very beautiful work, and then suddenly I found a picture of this gingerbread in Google in children's coloring pages. It turns out that if I do it too, then the idea was not the one who made this gingerbread before me, and you can also use the picture with a light heart. True, I made another gingerbread, the client liked it more, and I did not find a coloring picture for it. So who knows, the story came from the head of the master who has already made it or is taken from other sources, which I and anyone can also use.

I smeared these 2 gingerbread cookies with icing, and then ran stripes (I wanted less icing), saw similar ones in Pinterest, I liked them there, but my result is not very, looks sloppy. Maybe it was necessary to make the icing even more liquid?

Irina Fina, Ira, cool New Years! With a landscape painting - my dream, I also wanted to, but unfortunately not to have time for everything. And the snowmen and bears are cool, I don't see anything that I might not like, neatly, neatly. In general, everything is OK.
Quote: elena88

Irina Fina, Ira, the marine series is good, no words. And we liked the New Year ones. But where there are snowmen and bears, the fill is still lame. Of course, you need to adjust the consistency. But this is not always possible. At least for me. But the bells are cool. This is a classic and it is eternal
Quote: Katerina79

Irina Fina, Ira, you have succeeded in the nautical theme!
New Year's too cute
The latter, yes, the fill is a little thick, but if you make an edging, you can hide the fill, which has slightly crawled out of the contour
Quote: harmful78

Irina Fina, the marine series was a success, but don't be offended, I didn't like the mermaid with my back. And the rest is super! Open the secret: what did you use to set off the stars-shells with paint, or is it icing of such a darkish color? And what did you draw on the brown lines on the house?
Quote: DaNiSa

Ira, everyone liked your marine! do you set them off with something? very lively look!

Alyonushka, thank you for the praise. I shade with gel paints, diluted with a drop of vodka with a brush. I dip the brush into the paint, and then I will blot it well on a napkin, because otherwise I get an ugly stain, I paint the gingerbread along the edge, and then I wash the brush in pure vodka, again blot it on the napkin and smear the paint that I put on the gingerbread, so that a smooth transition was.

Vei, Liza, thank you!)) They are still tightening it up !!)) Now it's tense with cakes, it's expensive for everyone)) ... so I'd rather do something for my heart than throw off the price))

I have such cookies (for 1 egg, 200 butter, 200 sugar, 400 flour) mixed and for half an hour in the cold ... the thickness is 5-7 mm for 8-10 minutes. at 180-190 degrees It turns out smooth ... it can be shocking if you replace 50 g with cocoa ...
Beat the butter and sugar for a short time, otherwise they will blur ..

Shalashen Tatiana
Hello girls. Knock-knock to visit you. I barely reread everything. You are all so smart, but I sleep and see how I make the same gingerbread. Of course, I would like to make it to order, there is not enough personal money, but my hands do not obey at all, and my husband is shaking from gingerbread. Well, nothing, the mastic did not immediately turn out to me either. Before the New Year, I baked Freken Bokk gingerbread cookies, I liked them, but they dried up to death, though a piece of bread revived them.))) The first ones are ashamed to show, because other girls have such first-borns, as if they trained for a year. Soon my son is 2 years old, I want to call two girls, I'll show them to you this week. I will say again that you are all smart, and I really like everything.
Quote: Mona1

Shalashen Tatiana, Tan, welcome! And nothing is scary and complicated here. If the mastic has resigned, then the gingerbread, as for me, is easier, easier and more pleasure from the process than from the mastic. And the taste is not comparable at all. And the pens do not obey, in the sense, is it hard to knead dough for gingerbread? So I don't interfere, for example, my HP kneads, some have a harvester, I'm generally a frail girl physically and won't knead my hands for anything. So get included in the gingerbread, and the husband ... Well, what else does he have to do, at first he will have to eat your creations. I still feed mine. I made minions. Just like that, for a photo. If no one takes it, I will feed the household.)))
Mona1, Thanks for the welcome. I thought how I would sit down and paint everything beautifully, but no, my pens don’t want to draw straight lines, the fountain does not work, but I don’t lose hope. I still don't know how to paint gingerbread, but I buy molds

Tan, you won't be able to press the drawing anymore. The thickness of the rug does not allow. The depth of the pattern is for lace, not for dough. Rugs are different in depth. This small one, for fine lace, then I will try on another. It is more textured. Then we will compare.
Quote: Kitty

I have already tried, yes, the more textured the rug, the clearer the pattern, try a rug with a deeper pattern, it will be more beautiful.

Why icing from a gingerbread can fall off along with pieces of a gingerbread?
Hello! Accept the newbie. Gingerbread "got sick" before the New Year and there is no chance of recovery! But then a problem arose - I filled the round gingerbread with pouring icing (a recipe according to Spence), and a week later it fell off right in round pieces. What is the reason, I did not understand.
We decorate gingerbread cookies, cookies
Quote: elena88

severyanka, it can be seen that the icing fell off along with the top layer of the gingerbread. This means that the gingerbread was not dry enough before pouring. It's hard for me to judge, because you don't write what recipe you used to bake. But in any case, the gingerbread should at least completely cool down before pouring, but it is better for him to lie down for a day. And gingerbread should be stored in a dry place. This is the minimum. If all these conditions were met, then I don't even know. maybe more girls will add something.
Quote: Vei

I had a similar one once, but I baked according to a new unfamiliar recipe for me from a German site, the gingerbread was not dry at the time of pouring, and then after two weeks in my very dry air in the house, the gingerbread apparently dried out so much, and he himself was with such a sandy more structure that everything fell off as a neat panel))) I put it on icing again and presented it to someone
Quote: Natkamor

"Is there life on Mars, is there life on Mars. Science does not know this")) I also completely moved away from icing from the carrot from the courses. while the workpieces were dried. and it was stored along with the rest of the coursework. and of all, one only decided to throw off the skin))) so there is no understanding of this process
pssaha
Here, I brought that I had spent the night ..Not ideal, of course, but I was worried to make the pictures more accurate) I took pictures with my phone ... And the main difficulty, of course, is to shift the flat image into 3D relief, you need to have artistic ones, if not a sculptor's ability, eyes ...
One thing confuses me - you write that you made it from basic icing according to Spence's recipe, but such icing is quite tough and dense, it is almost impossible to blast it with a needle to smoothness, and you absolutely do not need to wait 30-40 seconds to apply a relief on top ( folds, knees, cheeks, etc.)
Question: did you not whip it up to the end or what?
Quote: elena88

pssaha, Tan, I agree with Lisa, the dog should be in a separate MK!
Quote: elena88

Vei, Lisa, you wanted details on lace gingerbread. I gave you my details in a personal note.
Regarding the density of icing according to Spence for 3d drawings, I can only say that I read reviews about MK Judith. The girls said that she makes her voluminous gingerbread cookies ooooooo thick icing. Very, very straight. Here.
Quote: Vei

so I saw it and its recipe is not a secret, here the question is in the cooking technology. You know that the basic icing is dense only when you whip it to the peaks, and this is how it spreads7 Likewise, Tortyzhkin icing, when you mix powder into the protein with a fork, how much it takes (and he can take an unmeasured amount of powder) and at the same time not keep the shape because it was not whipped.

It turns out that Tanya did not hit her icing to the peaks, if so that the relief does not spread, you need to give him time to grasp.

ps for the details on your gingerbread cookies, your assistant is very beautiful and glorious!
Quote: elena88

Most likely, you're right, she didn't whip up to the peaks. But what to guess? Tanya will come and tell the story herself.
Quote: Vei
Did you not whip it up to the end or what?
Liza ... now wait strained my thought ...
I made the cat and the rest from icing a little bit diluted .. just a little bit .. but then I mixed the powder 500 gr ...
At night I made a new batch ... and in my opinion the squirrel was added by 5 gr ... I knocked down the scales ... so it turned out a little fluid ... but it keeps its shape ..
I will try to fix everything .. When the cats do everything I will weigh and write down .. and show ..
Sorry, ate something wrong) .. while I can only work at night)
Quote: Vei

well, sorry, all sorts of things here
THANKS to you!
Quote: elena88

pssaha, Tanya, this is a thought: weigh and describe everything. It is useful for itself and invaluable for us.
And I'm definitely with a low bow. For I always need to know exactly how much to hang in grams. For this occasion, I even bought an electronic spoon-scales. There is a step of 0.5 g. So, I am now fully armed. And then it is always in doubt: what if this one unallocated or shifted gram will ruin everything?

Quote: harmful78

Kitty, awesome gingerbread! A lot of questions at once How did you draw eyes for the little people? Did you draw or fill it with icing? If by icing, then before or after the main background?
And the box is very interesting: how did you bake it? And its size is not ... And what size gingerbread heart is also unclear ...
Thank you, the little man's eyes are not drawn, or rather, they have only cilia drawn, the little men themselves are made of milk mastic, made according to the principle of application, that is, I pressed the place for the peephole with a ball and glued the eyes. series Gingerbread love-mixed-icing + milk mastic. As for the box, I already wrote, Plyushkin is a child compared to me, I have a special mold for baking the box, its size is 18 cm on the wide side. I baked the sides, filled it with thick icing, dried it, then drew the stencil and painted it in place, then fixed it on the bottom, well, then it’s clear. The heart was baked on a silicone mold. its size is 10 * 10 cm, and inside are malipuski hearts, with letters of 3 cm, but just in the glaze in general for 1.5)))))))))

Exactly!!! This is what I need! I'm still learning ..... mostly here
Quote: elena88

Then catch it! In addition to what has already been noted by Tanya, I would varnish. Maybe even with a dye to make it darker. Although the greater the contrast the stronger the jambs are emphasized. But clear varnish still ennobles the work. The flower petals could be made more embossed so that the pattern does not appear so flat. And the leaves could be painted over with a thin layer of icing, just to shade, so that they are not contoured, but tinted. The bouquet would look more textured. But it’s so good.

Girls, today I again stumbled upon the works of Vera Chernevich on Instagram. Many have probably seen them. What do you think of them in general?
Quote: Kitty

what to think of them? the girl has golden hands, you only need to strive for such skill.
Quote: harmful78

elena88, and thoughts in which direction you are interested in: how does she do it at all or why does she do it?
I am interested in comparison with other masters of similar level.
Quote: Vei

and who do you think are similar in level?
I like how competently she has built her business. I don't see much creativity there, much less mastery. For me, only 3D works are remarkable for her. Otherwise, everything is simple, bright, without frills - the most that neither is a splint. Good for streaming, even very good. For a master who creates - no, everything is handicraft somehow, rough and simple.
Quote: pssaha

elena88, I ran and looked ... Yes, I didn’t catch a niche ... I’ll catch it everyday .. like many people have .. well, the towers are good ...)
Quote: Kitty

I, for example, wrote about 3D, yes, I agree that upon closer examination, the fill bloopers are visible, and the joints are sometimes, but the overall impression is wonderful! I repeat, I am writing about my impression, but if we talk about really beauty, then I am immensely admired by the work of Olga Nadysheva from Moscow. But in general, why did this topic rise in principle?
Quote: Kitty

I don't know, I always admire the ability to make a whole city out of gingerbread, for example, or a tank, an airplane, a car, or something else.
Vei, Liz, golden words! I thought maybe I was picking on and screwing myself up. Probably each has its own niche. I meant the similarity in the level of promotion and positioning myself in this type of activity. What really cannot be taken away from her is the talent of the organizer and manager. And, of course, enthusiasm to be envied. Although in my opinion, all family members are involved in her business. This is definitely great.

Tanya, yes, nothing. I just regularly check what my colleagues breathe, what's new in gingerbread. Something to learn or be inspired by. Something like it, some not. Interested - asked. The people responded. We talked. What?
Tan, Nadysheva or Nadyshneva? Something I did not find first.

Virgo, I don't know, I also ran. I like it, the trideshki are great, the rest is also mostly. There is, of course, the type of flow-handicraft. Well, which of us doesn't have it? If people want cheaper, mostly. And we, in general, are aware of the blunders, but a simple person - everything is beautiful to him. I have now ordered a gingerbread in the form of a sharpei, 9-10 centimeters in size and somewhere for 60 rubles (20 UAH). Despite the fact that this is not my spinner, they wanted to, but we still need to find a picture, make a template, think about how to do it, bake it, and so on. ... For 60 rubles. I said that less than 100 will not cost. Yes, and even then very much, I think, I made a bargain. It just got quiet after Christmas, nobody needs me. So I take up any proposal. Moreover, there is an undoubted plus here - I will make something new in my collection.
Yrochka
I like Verin's scope and sense of proportion in her work. Indeed, a smart business. We have several gingerbread bakeries, shall we say, with documents. Not everything is so rosy with them. And the taste fails, and the quality of the photo is elementary. And I also occasionally communicate with their clients who were thrown at the last moment. I make orders for very decent amounts in conditions of absolute force majeure. That is, our attitude towards customers is also lame on both legs.

Well, that's okay ... After NG, I was finally able to look at the gingerbread. Was a pretty fruitful night tonight
I make such gingerbread for fairs to attract attention. Of course, work will be sold for 50-100 rubles. I haven't done them yet.

In the end, they refuse anyway, because in their hearts people are sure that the price depends on the size.

Yrochka, but how are you in inst. to find? Very beautiful work. Well, I shield that such things cannot be eaten.
Kitty, elena88 you need to have a reserve of 50 rubles. These are fairs! And it is not difficult to make small hearts with one curl And on order the prices are much higher, of course.
We have masters who are so confused by the pricing policy and respect their work that for several months they sit in an embrace with their works, in which, according to them, there are kilograms of the invested soul) For 7 years of handmade exhibitions (not with gingerbread) it became clear how to attract attention, how to recapture the lease and who should make good discounts on promotional orders that will attract a lot more people.
As a result, at these fairs, someone does not beat off the rent, but someone normally earns in their pocket on such a trifle.

Yrochka, Ir, here I completely agree with you. We talked about how many want the same thing, only smaller, but with the same bells and whistles. And they think that it will be straight for a penny.

elena88, Kitty ahh, well, that's how I agree with you I apologize for rushing into the wrong steppe)
I'll say it again: cats are stylish!
Yrochka
My question is ripe. There are girls here who bake cakes? I think it's more of an ingredient on their part. I've got neutral confectionery gel... Bought to cover the fruit once, persuaded to buy half a kilo. Now I think what to do with this stray. He shines. Is it possible to cover a picture from icing? I think the porcelain effect would be excellent. Or will it be disgusting? Does it even dry so that you can put a gingerbread in the bag later?

do you have a decor gel? or the way you wrote it? You can cover it with decor, but you need to dry it thoroughly, it sticks very much to the bag, and neutral is mainly used in mirror glaze. although it may be the same thing.
Kitty, read about both. It looks like they are the same thing. So it is a fertile material for experiments. I want to try mixing paint with it for a start.

YrochkaIra, decor gel, aka neutral gel, dries up only in the sense that it loses moisture, but it still remains sticky. We make water out of it, it is painted very well, it shines just as well)))) but collects all the dust on itself, bastard)))
Py. Sy. Shocked by your gingerbread, just start to "breathe", and you bam! New portion of golden pens!
m0use, Thank you! I didn't really understand about the water only
Quote: m0use

Well, if you need to depict water on the cake, there is a lake, water in the bathroom or tea in a mug)))

I disagree, I covered the waffles on gingerbread with it, it dried for a long time, but it dried out and did not stick.
Quote: m0use

I will not argue, I have not tried it on gingerbread, in my experience, mastic and sugar paper
