rose water (I did not add) 2st. l.

Cooking method

  • We take carrots, peel them and three on a coarse grater.

  • Put the grated carrots in a saucepan and fill with grape juice so that the juice covers all the carrots.

  • Cook the carrots over low heat to simmer the juice.
  • When there is very little juice left, pour nuts and rose water into the carrots (I did not add).

  • And we leave to cook until the juice is completely boiled away.
  • Apparently, we sell grape juice of a completely different quality, so halva did not caramelize at all during cooking.

  • Therefore, I put the resulting mass again in a saucepan, sprinkled with sugar and added a little grape juice and cooked again until it boils completely.

Vassa, the taste is sweet and sour, it is difficult to guess the carrot for my taste. I don't even know how to compare it to taste. It doesn't look very much like jam either. You can't eat a lot of such halva at a time, it turns out very sweet.
