Tira mi su
Girls, good afternoon.
I read reviews on MV. One of the selected models is the "culprit" of this topic
First of all, I want to get rid of the steamer and yogurt maker. Replace all this with CF At this stage, CF is needed for boiling milk, making yogurt in jars, making loose rice and buckwheat. And then, as I understand it, I will be carried away
There are several questions:
1. Still, is it possible to boil homemade milk without diluting it with water, so that it does not run away and burn? Or is it better to buy a milk jug?
2. Can yoghurt be made in jars? How many of them can be put there (jars, for example, from a yogurt maker, or which ones are most suitable, but glass is required). Can I put them in 2 tiers?
3. How good is steaming in this MV? Is the steaming pribluda strong?
4. Is it convenient to place the screen on the lid and not on the side?
5. Has the bowl coating worsened?

6. What disadvantages did you find in this MB during the period of operation?
7. The main "competitor" in my choice of MB is Redmond 250. Who can tell you in comparison with these models? I am attracted to Polaris by the bowl with handles ...

I would be grateful for the answers

Tira mi su, I will try to answer. I will not answer all the questions, but how can I help:
1. I don’t know homemade milk, but store milk can be sure. can be pasteurized at 70 degrees multi-cook. you can "boil" on milk porridge, but since the temperature is near boiling, the foam does not rise
2. I do in complete sets, there are 6 plastic ones. but if it is glass, they fit 3 pieces. half-liter or 3 pcs. 0.7 liters. I don’t have yoghurt, I don’t know.
3. The steamer is fig. flimsy and in large holes, hinged, the volume is small. I use metal chamomile for 12 UAH. I also saw silicone sell, I do not know the price.
4. I'm very comfortable. the only one glows constantly orange.
5. I immediately bought a Teflon non-stick. (from greed I took 2 - redmond and native Polaris, redmond is a little better). no problems.
6.Does not fry. well, or fries for a long time. in a skillet much faster. frying borscht in soup is normal, a piece of meat can be baked on a baking, but not fried.
I don't have a Redmond 250, I can't compare. A bowl with handles is not an indicator at all.
I love the prog soup in this slow cooker - vegetables are not digested, that is, I throw cabbage with potatoes and it does not snot
program rice - I cook round rice, super, pasta (a little water so that the tails are visible and before boiling, it is not necessary to drain it conveniently)
on the prog languor otpad buckwheat. baking is also a good program. the yogurt is great. the pastries are excellent.
cons - frying and I did not like the pasta and dumplings program.

good luck in choosing

Thank you very much!!!

Tira mi su, 1) you can boil homemade milk. I boiled it more than once.
2) You can do it in jars. The amount depends on the volume of these jars. I got 7 things from baby food.
3) The steamer is lousy. But I don’t use it.
4) The screen is comfortable.
5) The coating began to stick slightly after 4 months of operation. But this is the trouble with all ceramic coated pots.
6) Cons are listed above.
7) I can't compare with Redmond. But I heard reviews that the price for them is too high in comparison with Polaris.

I'm generally happy with the cartoons.

Piglet following and from me:

The steamer is excellent, the yogurt maker is excellent, the porridge is excellent.

1. Copes with milk well. True, a ceramic bowl (like any dish with a ceramic non-stick coating) loses its properties over time. Be prepared for the fact that after a few months it may start to burn.

2. Yogurt can be made in several ways. The instructions generally suggest boil yogurt right in the bowl.
It's not bad in plastic cups, but it's best to do it in glass: prepare the starter culture, sterilize the jars, cool them to room temperature, fill them with the starter culture, put the jars in the bowl and pour water into it to about the level of the starter culture poured into the jars. This method will allow you to more evenly maintain the temperature. It makes no sense to put the jars in two tiers - yogurt in the upper tier will not work.

3. The grid of the steamer is not very convenient, but you quickly get used to it. Ideally, it is better to buy a metal mesh or insert.
Dishes turn out better than in steamers, because in them the water simply boils away and the steam leaves, while in a multicooker there is a small cycle - moisture circulates in a semi-enclosed space. The steam condenses on the lid insert, the condensate flows back into the bowl, and the excess steam exits through the valve.

From my own experience - the meat becomes more tender and tastier if, after the end of the program, you do not open the lid, but leave it for 40-50 minutes (without turning off the heating).
Chicken cooked in this mode just melts in your mouth. And a weak broth will remain in the bowl, quite suitable for cooking dietary soup.
The countdown of the program time starts after the formation of steam, this is monitored by a sensor in the lid.

4. Not very convenient, especially in modes that require cooking with the lid open. But you get used to it.

5. Alas, it starts to burn with time. Ceramics will wear out even with careful maintenance. Better to buy a spare bowl with a regular non-stick coating right away.

6. Frying in this model is indistinct and unusual for our person. We used to turn on the heat, and so that the crust was thicker!
Here, impulse frying. At the beginning of the program, the temperature is set, then the heating element turns on and off several times, and at the end it accelerates again.
If you are on a diet that prohibits fried foods, then this kind of frying will work for you. In addition, less energy is consumed.
Alternatives to the frying program are the roasting and oil frying programs.

Another disadvantage is that the program end signal is rather quiet and short. And the selection of programs switches only in a circle, but you can return to the beginning of the list by clicking the Cancel button.

7. Two main differences: In Redmond 250 you can change the temperature during cooking, but there is no temperature display. Polaris 0523 has a set, you can't change the temperature, but there is an indication. Otherwise, these are similar, although the 250th Redmond is more than twice as expensive as the Polaris.
Polaris 0523 is the only Polaris model in which there is an indication and it is impossible to change the temperature on the fly.

Well, he jinxed it. Less than two months of careful use, the ceramic bowl began to lose its properties and slightly burn, or rather "stick".
No problem with a Teflon non-stick bowl.

It is very simple to check - pour water and throw it out, shake the inverted pan several times.
If the coating loses its properties, then the water will not drain well. If not, there will be almost no water left, only a few round drops.

The owners of this model are a question. My multi began to open the lid spontaneously when boiling. Has anyone come across this?

Good evening! Can someone tell me how to reset the time on the multicooker? I bought it and immediately plugged it in without setting the time, but now I would like to correct it, but I don't know how.

Setting the current time
1. Hold the DELAYED START sensor for 2 seconds, the timer on the display will start blinking.
2. Using the "HOUR +" and "MINUTE -" sensors, set the current time.
3. After setting the time, touch the “START” sensor, the timer will stop flashing, the temporary settings will be saved in the device memory

Thank you so much, everything worked out

Who - what can you say about the multicooker Polaris PMC-0519D. I just don't see the specials.Temko is very interested. Thanks in advance...
Manna
There is very little information about 0519. We are her HERE discussed a little. There was a question about the minimum temperature threshold (in the error instructions), min. - 30 ° C.
vovk
Here I have this particular model, followed the Polaris PMC-0517D multicooker and bought (I don't know how) Polaris PMC-0519D, although both were available ... And now my conscience is tormenting, I wonder WHY? .. Looking for reviews although I understand that it's too late ... Calm down if not difficult
Manna
vovk, created a topic about 0519... It is better to discuss it there I also gave links where we have already discussed this model

I bought a multicooker for my mother-in-law, but I was forced to deal with it. I unpacked it, it is not clear why it is black, or a pen, or a latch included. It is still unclear how to handle the steam valve, please tell us in more detail, the instruction is empty ...

Good day everyone. I have a question for the owners of this model - does it have the ability to change the temperature and cooking time already during the execution of the program, as is implemented in some twins of this multi - 0517AD and 0527D (there, during the execution of the program, long press on the "+" and "-" allow you to change the cooking time, and in the frying mode - and the temperature)? Thanks in advance for your answers.

The topic is suspiciously quiet. Thoughts of a killer slow cooker come to mind .........

Thanks for the answer. I will also ask you, how important is the function of time and temperature changes "on the fly"?

This is rarely required (at first, more often - you want to play). If it is in the device - great. But I would not chase just this function.

Girls, I wrote on the topic of choosing a multicooker, but so far no one writes anything there, I am writing here, otherwise it’s burning: please tell me about this model, is it worth buying or which one to look at? Reviews are conflicting. The cartoon is needed for a gift within 1200 UAH. Now there is still Dex DMC 55 for the promotion. Can I get it?
KolkhozNik
I bought it for my wife, everything you need is there. There is only no way to change the temperature during cooking, but it seems to me that it is not necessary. In my opinion, this is an analogue of 0517, only there are more programs. The most important thing is to have a multi-cook +. So there is where fantasy roam. We sold at dumping prices of 3600 rubles, though I watched a cartoon from December 2013. I hope this will not affect my work. And so a worthy representative in its class ...
Elena-Helena
Thank you, how long have you been using the multicooker? Are the programs buggy?
tuskarora
I have it for over a year. No complaints. All programs are working as stated so far. I already figured out the spontaneous opening of the lid - the valve was clogged. Most of all I like the programs Baking, Multipovar +, Yogurt, Casserole. If you have it at such a frivolous price - take it. For Dex I will not say anything - I did not use it.

I went to the carousel today for cabbage, and left with this slow cooker. For 2 tons. could not help but take. Contradictory reviews about it, of course, but I need it mainly to cook buckwheat / rice, well, sometimes it can be steamed. Hopefully it will work. For the last year, I've been cooking everything in the staff, and I don't even remember how to cook it in such saucepans. Owners, who cooks how, please share. I want to try it on borscht. And yet, does yogurt overheat, does it cook normally?
Bertha
Yogurt cooks well, does not overheat.
The Soup program, like Stewing, Saute, Jellied, Beans, work according to the same principle: first, intensive heating until boiling, and after several minutes of such boiling, the temperature drops to about 93-96, on the verge of boiling (depending on the mode). If the amount of extinguishing liquid is sufficient, it works well. After boiling and boiling, stewing and cooking are very delicate. The result is good.
It is not possible to use Extinguishing with very little liquid. It decals the heating element to the maximum temperature and, without waiting for steam, stops the overheating program. If I want to stew something in my own juice, I first set the Multi-Cook to 100, and when there is enough liquid, I start Stewing.
And further. If the time you set is over, and you want to continue cooking and immediately restart Soup or Stew, the cartoon will not bring the contents to a boil (it will be confused by the high temperature), but will immediately set to 95 or so.
As for the borscht: it all depends on whether you put all the ingredients at once (then the Soup program is quite suitable) or in stages. I add gradually, and use Soup and Multi Cook to bring it to a boil quickly.
In general, you will get your bearings and be satisfied
Jenealis
Bertha, thank you very much for answering so extensively. But we have already made friends with her, I am satisfied with everything except yogurt. My specimen overheats, then yogurt stretches. For the rest, for two thousand Russian rubles, it's just an excellent device.
Bertha
And what temperature of the lower heating element does it show? I have 39-41. But this is the pace. the bottom of the bowl, not the contents. Me and pace. I measured the water in the bowl. about 39.5 holds. A multi-cook for 40 degrees. tried it?
Jenealis
Bertha, I didn't measure the temperature, I'm looking at the result. Either the serum is clipped or stretched. All other things being equal, it comes out without problems in a yogurt maker. I gave up the idea of getting decent yogurt in it.
Bertha
Clear. I'm good at it. Maybe it's the raw materials or the sourdough, or maybe your CF is actually overheating.
