Cubic, it automatically goes into heating mode

It turns out more beautiful in the mulk.

She herself used the cartoon for 2 years, but did not know that she had a little lid, but it heats up until Boo-Boo in the next topic prompted here. :) And really, if you turn on the cartoon with the lid open to the Baking program and put your hand on the lid from the inside, then after 10-15 seconds you can feel that it starts to heat up.Now I understand why the baking in the cartoon has a light top color, but more beautiful than the baking from the Unit - it definitely does not have any heater in the lid.
Lenusya
Boo Boo, my friend boiled water in it several times with both apple cider vinegar and lemon. (lila is not a lot, I was afraid to spoil the coating). She cooked simple dishes (rice or buckwheat), after cooking, she immediately turned off the heating and opened the lid. The soap lid is constantly on. Keeps open (until now). The smell gradually went away. Now nothing smells
Boo Boo
Thank you.
Stinks exactly gum sealing. I took it off and soaked it in hot water with lemon. Now I put water and lemon in a pressure cooker to boil. It stinks strongly, some kind of chemistry. So annoying. I bought another pressure cooker as a present for my sister. Here I sit thinking, maybe I can carry it back to the store. It is inconvenient to give such a gift.

I boiled it with lemon today. The gum stinks anyway. Now I put it with an apple bite. I don’t know what to do, I really need your advice. Can I take this gum off and put it on a boil?
Boo Boo
Nothing helps. The elastic smells.
Do I have to take my appliance at the store for this reason?
Mueslik
Boo Boo , I would wash it in a washing machine at a temperature of 40 on a gentle mode ... Only not one, but with little things
But this is an extreme option, of course
Boo Boo
Powder? Something even my eye twitched.
Boo Boo
I certainly understand that a new thing has a smell. But here my food smells so bad that you can't eat it. I have already washed the gum with more than just soap, it still smells.
Mueslik
Boo Boo , and why are you so scared of washing powder? My mom has been boiling pans in a solution of washing powder all her life, well, 30 years is for sure ...
Now she is over 70 and I would not say that she suffers from a bunch of diseases. We will be weaker. Yes, and it is not known what your gum absorbed - maybe even worse than powder.
Turn on one more rinse mode and that's it.
natalka
Boo Boo, Well? What's with the smell? Did it help? I still can't understand where this smell comes from. I myself ordered Unit through the online store with delivery - nothing smelled. I bought it for friends in Real, too, no smells. What could have happened to your saucepan that started to smell so bad? It is not clear ... Now, if they all smelled or all did not smell, it would be somehow clearer.
Boo Boo
I washed it, the smell did not go away, and it did not even smell less. I called the service center. My case is not an isolated one. They said bring a rubber band with a guarantee and they will order me a new one. The firm told them to replace them without further ado. So I'm going to change the gum, because I don't want to part with the pan.

A batch of pressure cookers was stored in unsuitable conditions along with chemistry in a warehouse and now it is being sold ...
I think so too, or the initially defective rubber bands were put on the consignment.
My friends live near Arkhangelsk. This is the kind of geography it turns out
And at KMV, I haven't seen any pressure cookers yet. Only the Kenwood and Morphy Richards slow cookers appeared.

Boo Boo, of course change the gum - the pan is good

Shl Mueslik, I remove this smell with water and vinegar. We have a private house and a cat, so the neighbors' cats scoff at the door. Sorry for off-top
foxtrader
I just managed to boil the water for today to understand how it works and what it is. Then she left for the whole day, just burst in. I'll cook tomorrow.
But it smelled. Not much, but a fact on the face. True, I did not wash it at all, but launched the program as it is. I think my cartoon smelled like that at the beginning.
I'll try to wash it tomorrow and cook something. I'll tell you later.

Boo Boo, it's good that you have to replace the rubber band. Well, that's not the point if it always smells like that
foxtrader
Today I cooked a meat roll in a ham maker in a pressure cooker, and then cooked buckwheat. Before that, I wiped the pressure cooker with a rag and washed the gum with the fairies. There was almost no smell at all.
In general, I have no problem.
Mueslik
foxtrader , well, how are you impressed by the new saucepan?
I like the look so much, the display is especially bright, beautiful, pleasant to use
I am so glad that I bought it, I didn’t hesitate for a long time, I use it constantly.
And I didn't have a smell right away (my husband is a sniffer!)
Oh, BooBoo asks the same ...
Boo Boo
Yes, he asks, because Booboo cannot cook a new one in a pot. The gum was nasty. Lies separately stinks. Here.
foxtrader
Quite a normal saucepan. I like Everything is fast and healthy. But the cartoon is closer to me for the time being to the taste of the prepared dish, and then we'll see. But how fast! Sometimes you are in a hurry, and there is no time to cook. At such a moment, such a thing will come in handy.
Anyway, two pans of this kind are very convenient. in one you cook one thing, in the other another.
Boo Boo when will you hand over the gum? How long to wait for a replacement?
It's a pity that it happened.
Gin
Well, you scared me! We also bought a Unit pressure cooker. The gum smelled, but at the time of reading this topic I had not cooked anything in it yet. Yesterday I rushed home - the first thing to do to the elastic band on the lid - to sniff. It stinks. I washed it with cool water and soap. It smells. During the first use of the pressure cooker (stewed meat), sometimes, it seemed to me, there was a chemical smell around. But the meat smelled like meat. I did not cover the pressure cooker with a lid after turning it off - let it fade further. In the morning I sniffed - the gum smells of meat and allspice with a barely perceptible admixture of chymosis. I hope that it will finally fade away.

And the first dish was like this: BUCKTHORN WITH MEAT.
the pork is cut into small pieces - salt and pepper, pepper-peas, lavrushki, put in the bowl of the pressure cooker. poured 6 cups of water. (probably less could have been, but I decided to follow the recommendation - the minimum load is 1/5 cup). included "meat and beans". after the end of the program I filled in 3 cups of buckwheat and turned on "rice". it turned out to be a delicate puree buckwheat porridge with meat - you need to pour less water or pour more cereals.

My impressions are mixed. I have already adapted to the multicooker and managed to fall in love with it. And here everything is a little different. At the expense of speed. On the one hand, quickly. The ready signal sounded 40 minutes after switching on. BUT! She then equalized the pressure - cooled down. It took another 20 minutes. It turns out that it took time - 1 hour. And in one hour, the meat could be cooked in a multicooker and in the usual way.

With buckwheat - the same. She was preparing for about 20 minutes. But then she had to wait another 20 minutes to turn the valve. I was afraid to open it before. Since while waiting for the meat to cool down, I tried to do it - with a loud whistle, the fountain rushed up and in all directions. I got scared. She closed it and waited.

It turns out that buckwheat was cooked for a total of about 40 minutes. She cooks about the same amount in a slow cooker.

For myself, now I decided to master the pressure cooker for some time. But then return to the multicooker. And in a pressure cooker to cook something really tough or long-cooking - for example, beets, corn, probably jellied meat, condensed milk, peas, etc. In addition, the multicooker has a more convenient steam grid. And the multicooker has no minimum load level. And, as I understood from the above, baking is still better in a multicooker.

These are the conclusions I made for myself.
Mueslik
Gin , I usually wait 10 minutes, unless the saucepan is up to the top level. And so, I immediately release the pressure and open it.
Buckwheat, all the more, had to be opened right away - she continued to cook with you - that's why mashed potatoes ...
You just got used to the multicooker, but here the principle is different
dopleta
Gin, if you're in a hurry, cover your switched off pressure cooker with a wet cold towel. The towel is hot - cool it again under the tap. This will quickly reduce the pressure in the pot.
foxtrader
And I slowly begin to release air almost immediately. Sometimes I wait for 10-15 minutes.
Yes, today mine no longer smelled at all. So that Boo Boo just unlucky

Quote: Gin

Thank you. I will try to lower the pressure earlier. Just scary I guess I'll start over with a cold towel
Right. Simply, if you immediately release steam through the valve, then the humidity in the room increases sharply, and due to the external cooling of the pressure cooker, the steam condenses and remains inside in the form of moisture. But still, do not open the lid without first opening the valve - steam will still come out, but not in that amount and with the wrong pressure.
Cubic
Well, finally, it happened. I also became the owner of a wonderful saucepan. In real (two were on the weekend - no already). I ordered it in Sunrise, for 2880. I'm already mastering it ... if anything, don't be offended by stupid questions

YES! I almost forgot, the gum - the sealant had an unpleasant smell. I washed the fairies first, then ran the entire pan for a few minutes with water and lemon peels. But the smell remained, then I took out this gum and rubbed it with salted garlic (terribly smelly and terribly salty), left it on for a few minutes, and then washed it again. Tolley my nose refused after the garlic, or the smell is really gone ... probably tomorrow I'll know for sure.
Boo Boo
I didn’t change the gum, I was planning for a long time. And then she seemed to stop smelling.
I steamed beets for vinaigrette. And today I cooked a turkey with onions and sour cream. It turned out yummy.
Cubic
and I'm going to buy a second gum, because it really is made of something that strongly absorbs odors. I have it smells like garlic (after meat, and what will happen after fish ??), and for porridge it is somehow not comme il faut .. you need to start a separate one for porridge and baking.

I don’t know, I also noticed at first that the gum from the dishes absorbs smells, I thought, just like you, that the smell would be transferred to the next dish. But then I noticed that the new smell could build up on the gum, but the old one did not seem to be transferred to the dish. The same is true for me with the Panasonic cartoon - there is generally a non-removable rubber band, only you can wipe everything with a rag and that's it. It seems to me that mixing does not occur because during operation there is only an outflow of air upward through the valve. But in any case, of course, if there is an opportunity to buy additional. gum, you need to buy it, it will still come in handy.

Somewhere I saw a photo of the pressure cooker buttons, they were in Russian, but I had them in angelic. What do you have?
I want to bake a biscuit for a pancho, but I can't find a recipe for a pressure cooker, help me.

It must have been a picture of the pressure cooker menu. landlife, it is, as I understand it in Russian. Here are some recipes for it, but I warn you right away, I did not cook for them:
Boo Boo, I think any biscuit recipe can be adapted for a pressure cooker. (I've been baking charlotte, see.above, everything turned out beautifully, but the taste is not very good for me, it is somehow boiled)
Qween
Imagine Kenwood released a multivar with ceramic pot. And, at the same time, the new HP model (VM-450).
There is no information on the official website, but today or tomorrow I will have brochures with a full description. The new cartoon will probably be inexpensive.
And, while the information is from words - I will not transmit, so as not to mislead you.

Friends, I have a problem. I have a PanaSonka 18 and want to buy something else so that two birds with one stone can be shot at once. But something is VEEM, or UNIT, or multi Hoter, but a prerequisite for biscuits to bake and airy cakes, and PanaSonka is somehow not coping with this task

Mannik turned out to be tastier than in the oven !!!
In the oven, it turns out to be dry and becomes tasty for 2 days, but here it was immediately very tender. Apparently there are recipes (except for manna, I think this applies to cottage cheese casseroles and cheesecakes) that will be better in saucepans, apparently due to the high humidity during baking ... and they say about biscuits that they come out most delicious in the oven (though. I believe that this is a matter of taste)
Hello! I, recently, the owner of the Unit 1000 pressure cooker, but, so far, just mastering. Tell me your recipe manna!

About the smell. There were also problems with the seal. with an elastic band, apparently the silicone is very bad, in principle, it "breaks up" with odors. But, since the pan was a gift and the check was not attached to the gift, I decided that the exchange at the service center would not shine for me. Soaked for several days in cold water with salt, periodically changing the water. Now, after cooking, the gum, without fail, is thoroughly washed, wiped dry and kept separate from the lid. Now almost does not smell, just a little last dish
Hairpin
In the process of considering, two questions began to torment:
1. Do you need a spare pot?
2. Took one spare rubber band. How often should they be changed? My technique lives for decades, so if an elastic band is erased in about a year, then one is not enough for me ... Otherwise, my rubber bands will run out in three or four years, and the model will already cease to exist ... ...
Boo Boo
And for some reason I don't use a pressure cooker very often, but I'm not ready to give it up either.
Boo Boo
Maybe. Somehow all the hands do not reach the modes to study, well, I like the multicooker better.

Cubic, why is "Cake" a mess?
"Cake" translates to "Pie" and in the instructions this program goes as "Baking".
And according to the instructions, the "Cooking" mode is called "Porridge".
Cubic
I just, by analogy with LL, call the buttons so, there is 1 - the button: "RIS" / in Unite - rice is drawn, the button is called "Cooking"
The third button of the owner of LL is called "Porridge" / in Unite - the button is called "Сake / Congee" (porridge is drawn)

photo of a plate with a description of the modes, there the 3rd button also goes under the name "Porridge".
So, as the girls with LL pressure cookers started the topic, I already picked up some "conventional" words ..
Penguin
Could the owners of the Unit USP 1000D pressure cooker clarify how much it actually weighs. On the UNIT website it is written 10 kg, on the other 5 or 6 kg. Please?!
Mueslik
Penguin, I remember, I wrote somewhere and weighed it on purpose ...
barely found

I forgot to write about the modes. Tillotama said that it is better to cook not on modes, but purely on a timer. And Anastasia wrote that she turns out pilaf in a pressure cooker better than in a multicooker. I'll have to feast on it.
I also think that the pressure cooker has a chance to make things in common with chickpeas more accessible "
Boo Boo
Does anyone know if the gum from the pressure cookers that Tillotama has for Unit?
Boo Boo
Quote: natalka

I, too, have been tormented by this question for a long time
Very similar in appearance, anyone can measure the inside diameter of a rubber band from a pressure cooker purchased from Tillotama.
Nirinka
Girls, I have a question. I found out in the instructions for my Unit 1000 that there should be a "removable container for collecting water", apparently like a multi. But I don't have it in stock, so it just didn't get to me, or does everyone have it?
In fact, I have already tried it in action, I am happy as an elephant and love her dearly!
Boo Boo
I have a container.
natalka
And I have. It's not quite the same as multi. Outwardly not like that. It is made of thicker plastic and is completely transparent. Stronger on the right side. Maybe you did not pay attention to him and he calmly hangs on a saucepan or rolls around in a box (unless, of course, it has not been thrown out yet).

If the lid of the pressure cooker is not fastened at the top at the moment of opening, but placed next to it on the table, then, accordingly, there will be nothing to drain, or rather nothing from. And when the lid is not fixed to a constant, as in a cartoon, then you do not always want to fix it there, insert it, but rather, as usual (as with an ordinary saucepan), stick it somewhere side by side on the table (it's still temporary).

And I didn't even know that it was possible to fix the lid there. Yesterday, by the way, I found some water in the container.
Boo Boo
By the way, was it in the instructions?
natalka
Well, the instruction there is not very informative, but it seems to have been ... and also (maybe someone does not know either) on the other hand, there is a hole where the spoon is inserted ... so that the table does not get dirty.
