Girls, it turns out that not all silicone ice / chocolate molds can be in the oven
Mine did not know this, and that light green on top which melted the apples for me.
The rest survived safely
The apples were obviously made of silicone of a different quality, softer and more soapy in structure, bought a year ago at Metro.

I have Italian Metaltex with apples. So on it in all languages, except Russian, it is written - do not expose to the sun!
Teen_tink
I have a similar story with the "apples" - I didn't put it in the oven, but put it in the dishwasher - the apples were deformed. And on a piece of paper the packaging was indicated only for ice ...
Sofim
It is enough to lubricate new silicone with oil the first time. But if washed in the dishwasher, then grease every time. These are general rules for silicone molds.
Teen_tink
I practically never grease the molds ... and if I bake a liver soufflé, then the fat is heated by itself ... There was no sticking ... but the "apples" simply do not withstand the temperature ...
Luysia
I have apples and penguins, so I bought them as molds for ice and put them in the oven and I didn't even think! And it's good that it didn't come, it turns out ...

Duc and I didn't bake ... ... I decided to clean up ... and he (silicone or something else from those apples) - and was offended by the dishwasher ...
I didn't throw them away - now there are icy crooked apples ...
Luysia
And I had hearts for ice, so beautiful, very curly, but a material like plastic. So it occurred to me to dump the ice out of them by hitting the table. She's a poor fellow and crumbled ...

Yeah, I also left it for the ice curves, it was crumpled so tolerably, I snatched it out in time

When buying these apples, the label did not indicate any temperature limits or warnings, it just says that the ice mold, the silicone was slightly similar to the Silicomart, so I decided

The ones that are red and yellow were bought the other day without any identification marks at the bazaar, but there the seller said that it was possible to go into the oven, because the quality of the oven silicone sold by him and this small thing for ice / chocolate is absolutely identical.

I want to ask, did anyone try to make a holder for silicone molds themselves (there are molds with a plastic insert, and a frame - a la wire)?
I made a honey cake in a round one .... tossing and turning a little .... the shape is soft, but on the outside there is a groove like a holder .... Anyone have any ideas?
I tried to persuade my husband to make steel wire - she says it won't work ... and aluminum won't work, even thick ...

I tried to persuade my husband to make it out of steel wire - she says it won't work.

Why won't it work? I saw these on sale. The frame is made exactly along the upper edge of the form and is not even fixed by anything, it is automatically fixed when filling out the form with dough, when the edges are slightly spread.
Teen_tink
Thank you Doblet I am not an expert in metal processing ..., but my husband explained that the steel wire must first be "released at a high temperature, and then forged (knocked with a hammer and bend), and in the oven it can break up again ..."
I also saw the coasters, but here's how to make it yourself at home - we think ...

Yeah, we have been flooded with them lately ...

Girls, can anyone say something about the quality of silicone products Kaiserhoff? The fact is that we have a lot of silicone pieces from this manufacturer on sale, the price pleases excessively, but at the same time alarms Silicone items (molds, rugs, tassels, gloves, etc.)... for a start I bought silicone potholders from this manufacturer, although I still haven't understood all the charm, more and more often I grab the usual ordinary cloth potholders that I am used to ... The other day I was twisting molds on metal supports, which at first glance are quite solid, but ... in general, I decided to ask / consult first ...

P.S.I am a fan of silicone products Tescoma, also really like italian silicone Regent , but this is me, suddenly someone will come in handy ...

P.P.S.It caught fire with such a set from Regent:

Silicone items (molds, rugs, tassels, gloves, etc.)

Does anyone already have one?

Teen_tink
In our store I saw a silicone tea strainer in the form of a green apple on a leg, but I didn't buy it .... I just don't drink such tea .... I brew everything in a teapot. And outwardly nothing, a beautiful thing.

For a long time I wondered where to show my new thing, which had arrived today after two months of waiting, - either in "Utensils for Cooking ...", or in "Tazhin", or here. I decided, since it is made of silicone, to be here, I can imagine: the French silicone tagine Mastrad.

dopleta - congratulations on the new thing !!!

This is not clay for you - if in the process all the liquid accidentally runs out, then the meat will not stick to death

And I recently saw a similar silicone construction, only it was not a tajin, but a fish.

Ordinary ones must be urgently removed from the kitchen, their time is irretrievably gone
I didn't buy potholders, but silicone gloves (not German) - I don't know how I lived without them before.
Impeccable in terms of convenience (I chose a glove, 5 fingers, not a mitten).

Girls, tell me, I need a special rubber mat for kitchen cabinets on the shelves (so as not to cover it with paper). I stopped by Forema (I ordered the kitchen there) and they offered me (there was no showcase) this rug to buy for about 350 r per meter with a width of 50 cm, and I seemed to have already agreed, as a girl quietly approached me and said that in IKEE this rubber mat is sold in rolls and is much cheaper - maybe someone has seen there and has already bought such a roll, can you show what it is

I was buying. It is so transparent, it looks like a honeycomb. I can't take a picture, after the repair it disappeared forever.

I have such a roll from Ikea. I bought it for a long time, I don't remember exactly the price, but it seems not much cheaper than you were offered. In a roll 50cm width, 150cm length. It cost 400-500 rubles a couple of years ago, but I certainly can't vouch. I took the photo as best I could.

And what does such a rug give other than cleanliness of the shelves?

Absorbs sound and protects shelves and drawers from scratches. And yet, if there are not pots on the carousel, but some trifle, then it will not fail. Personally, I bought it, but I don't use it. Only once I cut a piece, and even then not for myself, but for a friend. I have nowhere to use it.

Well, I came from IKEA I bought rugs - there is a roll of 1.5m - 199 rubles. But then such an incident happened - I do not like to go to this store, firstly it is very stuffy there, and secondly, all the moves and exits are so twisted that I just got lost there and barely made it to the checkout counters. I took 5 rolls, a set of plastic containers of 17 pcs -169r, a set of 3pcs bowls -58r, a set of cloth napkins 30 / 30cm 10pcs in a set and 2 sets of kitchen towels and paid 1002 rubles for everything. I come home and suddenly the thought hits me in my head, why 1002 rubles, if only 5 rolls cost 995 rubles: o I look at the check, and only 2 rolls are punched there;) How the cashier punched it is unclear, because she checked everything herself and counted - I am leaving today with a present
(conscience torments me)

About conscience:
* conscience? and what is it?
* conscience? I have it, but in lethargy ...
* forgot my conscience somewhere on a hanger next to someone else's umbrella ...

nut, consider what it will cost you to return to Ikea, and even with the fact that you do not feel well there. As for the cashier - they steal so much in stores that they will write off these three rolls and do not sneeze. And if you show up with these missed rolls, then the cashier can also solder a reprimand. So, here's another question - will it be fair to frame the young lady?

All I want to buy a mat for rolling the dough. I need it exclusively for rolling out the dough, so that the dough does not stick and the countertop is not used for these purposes. I will not bake on it - there is nowhere (I only have AG, the ovens are dumbSilicone items (molds, rugs, tassels, gloves, etc.)). But I just can't figure out which rug to buy. Silicone items (molds, rugs, tassels, gloves, etc.) There are some thin and thick ones, some have markings, others not, there are mats-coasters for hot (but large) ... What's the difference?

You have no reason at all for tormenting your conscience - it’s not your fault that the cashier did not count your purchases that way. But to ease your conscience, you can give someone a gift Silicone items (molds, rugs, tassels, gloves, etc.)

Tea is brewed depending on your taste. My husband, for example, loves strong tea, such things do not suit him, and even very normal for me. Then I wash them in the dishwasher.

Girls, bought silicone muffin cups (6 pcs in one)
I am confused by the surface, it is slightly dull-rough, velvety chtol. everything that I saw on the Internet - glossy, shiny. And this one is like a "misted bottle". It seems not smelly, elastic, the color is dim. Everything is as it should be. And who has what to the touch?

And still need some kind of pre-treatment before the first use? Ignite, lubricate? Tell me, I can't wait to try it. I have already got food for the muffins, they are heating up ...

I have both such and glossy. Personally, I did not process anything, I just washed it. I don't smear the molds, but if the drawing is very embossed, then it is better to grease a little with sunflower oil (it will pop out more easily and it will be easier to wash)
natamylove
lubricate with oil before the first use, well, you can boil in water for about 10 minutes to remove odors, possibly dust.

Good luck!
the surface is different, smooth is desirable for chocolate, then it shines.

Thank you very much! just in case, I boiled and greased. Now the second portion is being baked. Result. And how I used to live without them !!!!! You need to buy a second one, so that the weight of the batch will immediately fit into the oven
