Njashka, firstly, you don't need to spin anything, everything is very easy to understand.
Secondly, the more often you do this, the more juice you will get. Do not wait until the container is clogged to capacity.

Dear forum users, please help! We bought today a Philips 1871 juicer for 1000W, the power is indicated on it. I wrung out the carrots, and the cake is wet, squeezed into a fist - the juice flows from this cake! What to do, change, or can you fix such a terrible spin at the service center? complete disappointment, my old squeezer Mulinex gave out completely dry cake and the juice yield is much higher. Tell me how to be.
Rita
At what speed did you squeeze? You need carrots at maximum.
Alata
Yes, as recommended for hard vegetables, at maximum. Maybe there is no need to wait for dry cake from this squeezer, there is no such opportunity for it? But it does not work loudly, quickly wash and disassemble, collect, presses oranges. Write, pozh, who has on-carrot cake like plasticine dry or more moist?

What, no one has such a juicer?
I wrote here yesterday, but nothing has survived. (there was a red inscription at the top that nothing will be saved, due to the fact that work is underway ...)
My cake is also wet, though I didn't squeeze it in my hands.

Oksana, the moisture content of the cake is a subjective indicator. Take a normal (dry) carrot 400-500 grams, peel, measure the exact weight, and then how much juice you get. Do the same with apples. This is the only way to determine the spin quality.
There may be a really bad model. Sometimes they want to improve the model, but they do not bring it to mind.

The Phillips juicer arrived yesterday. LTD!!! Delight !! The juice is gorgeous. a little pulp and very little foam. And washing is no problem at all
I recommend to all doubters!
And thanks to this forum for "provoking" to buy this wonderful thing!

What model do you have?

HR 1869 Almost the same as 1871, but slightly lower power and slightly less volume

A question to the owners of the PHILIPS HR1871 / 00 or HR1871 / 10 juicer.
How often should you choose cake?
Is it convenient?
After all, you need to spin the entire juicer to get to this niche!
For example, for a volume of 10kg of apples, how many times will I need to choose a cake?

Today I played 1.7 kg of apples. It took 1.5 minutes. There is little cake, a lot of juice.
I erased the rest of the text. Easier to say on YouTube to look.

The difference in power is only 100 watts. The volumes are exactly the same. The difference is in the body material, there are still adaptations for citrus fruits and so on.

Serg22,
the whole process is shown in the video. which can be found on Yu-Tube. More visual than reading.
I agree, the car is super-duper! we make juice almost every day, delicious, delicious!
But I wash the parts myself, I’m sorry to put them in the dishwasher.

My husband and I were looking for a juicer for 2-3 glasses of juice for every day, without blanks. The main conditions: small, easy to disassemble and wash, clear juice, and more, it would be nice to have a large diameter neck. Bought Philips HR 1863. Significantly smaller than 1869 and 1870/71 in size, that's what you need, quite enough power. Hard vegetables and fruits crushes very quickly !!! It can be easily disassembled and washed, but to dry - the parts are voluminous and a lot, if left to dry, will take up all the free surfaces in the kitchen, you have to wipe it off immediately with paper towels and collect. Hard products - cake like plasticine, softer and juicy products give wet cake, from bananas in general puree. I am insanely happy with the juicer, squeezing the juice in it is just a feast for the eyes, how it does it! I don't like to eat fruits, especially apples, but I drink juice with pleasure! Cool thing!
Mirabel
Yes, these are all almost the same models. Let the juicer delight with delicious juices!
diana7dg
Mirabel, Thank you! Already a week as very happy! Ttt!

Someone wrote that he could not drink carrot juice, I made myself with cream and separately with milk - very tasty !!! And useful, with fat again! Maybe it will work like that ?! And I also drink pure carrot with pleasure when the carrot is not bitter.
Mirabel
Do you add cream directly to carrot juice?
diana7dg
Yes, I squeezed the juice and a little cream in it (like in coffee), mixed it and drank it! Carrot juice is not sour, it should not curl up, it mixed well with me, of course I would not risk it in apple juice.

Juicer (selection, discussion, reviews)

The Dex DSJU 10 screw juicer was registered at my place. When the summer cottage season is in full swing, the berries replace each other: honeysuckle, strawberries, currants, gooseberries, and the apple trees are about to begin to bear fruit, the question arises: What to do with all this? The strawberry slipped through with sour cream, and the currant decided to leave its mark in the form of various blanks. Frozen, grinded with sugar, "five minutes" is still last year - you should not cook, because the bones get in the way. And my juicer was still in the 70s of the last century - a centrifugal one - squeals like a pig, jumping on the table - not work, but one torment. At our HP, I learned about the existence of screw juicers. When I began to study this issue, I realized that I could not quite afford this pleasure - I’m not ready to pay salary for a month on a juicer. And the harvest does not wait! And then I saw the Dex DSJU 10 auger juicer and caught fire with a purchase. I understand that this is a Chinese product, but I am already well acquainted with Dex from my cartoon, so I purchased this wonderful unit. Now I want to share my observations with you.
So, Dex DSJU 10 costs from 996 UAH, depending on the store. Perfectly packed in a box with instructions and warranty card. The warranty is 2 years. The girls in the topic about cartoons wrote that Dex does not repair its equipment during the warranty period, but exchanges it. How true this is - I don't know.
Juicer (selection, discussion, reviews)
Tested a juicer on black currant. The bed is heavy, neat with pretty flowers. But the leg at the bed seemed flimsy to me. But since the juicer does not jump or even shake, I think that this is not a very big drawback. The unit works quietly, and when compared with its old juicer, it is almost silent. True, the spin speed is not very high. The juicer has only 3 buttons: start / off; reverse; auger release button. Therefore, even highly gifted persons, which I am - an almost natural blonde - will understand the juicer without any problems.
The screw mechanism is made of transparent plastic. The plastic made a good impression. Strong enough, after processing the currant bucket did not stain. The auger is plastic, and its axis and tip are made of metal.
Juicer (selection, discussion, reviews)
It looks sturdy and the weight is impressive. The strainer is made of metal, but very large.
Juicer (selection, discussion, reviews)
Therefore, the bones slipped into the juice.

Juicer (selection, discussion, reviews)
To be honest, it's not juice, but I can't name mashed potatoes either. In short: underpure or overshoot
Pressed a white filling of medium ripeness. The pomace was wet, but not critical. But it's still delicious.

Girls, owners of the PANASONIC MJ-M171 juicer, can you please tell me if she can squeeze juice from a pomegranate or beet? Will she handle it?
I have been hanging in the tyrnet for 2 days, I read a lot of reviews about different juicers, and I realized that I need to take a juicer with good power, and not for one glass, and so that it squeezes juice not only from apples or carrots, but also from beets, pomegranates.
About the pomegranate was announced only in the Zelmer 476 juicer. More excellent reviews about PHILIPS HR 1871/10. I like both very much, I don't even know which choice to choose. But the price stops them, the budget does not allow.
Found on the local Slandro used ear both. Zelmer is on sale in Kiev, and Phillips 1871 is sold in Zaporozhye. Both, according to reviews, were little in use. Well, the price in the region of 1000g is asked for them, but both of them are already without a guarantee.
I agreed to go and see that Phillips tomorrow, but at the same time I am plagued by doubts. Should I take a used one?
I was promised to add 500g, so I think maybe I can still take Panasonic?
Time goes on, my daughter needs to drink juices, today they tried to grate and squeeze out the juice on a Bebik Bernerovskaya grater ... but this is such a problem, and they barely squeezed out the glass.
My head is spinning, can someone give you advice and help?
taty
nila, sorry if it is not in the case
here is a grenade with pictures, after all, the grenade is squeezed out by the press

h ttp: //

And beets, IMHO, if they are juicy and not super hard, they will probably give juice in any juicer,
I noticed that if it is a little sluggish, then the tavern is not very squeezed out.

nila
taty, Thank you! A very helpful link! I found a lot of interesting things for myself. It turns out that I have been correctly extracting pomegranate juice for 3 years using METHOD # 3 LOGICAL. And about the crusts is very useful information, and we have utilized so many of them!

I bought the Hurom SBF 11 with delivery from Korea. I bought it on eBay. The parcel arrived in Belarus in 6 days. I had, of course, to pay a decent customs duty (in the Republic of Belarus, the limit is still 120 euros per month), but I was ready for this and it is still cheaper than taking it from Russia. There is no limit to my delight.the juicer is made of mega-quality, comfortable, small (when assembled it takes up very little space), everything is thought out, perfectly fitted. I liked that the set includes 2 sieves. The larger one is perfect for all kinds of vegetable and fruit purees. I have been looking for a long time how to make something like baby apple / apple-carrot puree with cream at home, without heat treatment. The blender is a little worse.
The discovery was how much juice comes out of beets and oranges. I thought it was much less. The cake is not exactly dry, but such that nothing else can be squeezed out of it. I'm going to make almond milk now.
Rada-dms
sergovlena, congratulations on your purchase and I share your enthusiasm! Take a look at Temka, we started writing about Korean augers there.

sergovlena, Congratulations! Great selection of Lucky Juices

They treated me to a bucket of plums through a fine sieve (Hurom SBF11) made a plum juice + an apple, the consistency resembled the juice from 3-liter cans from the Soviet era, only tastier. Made from cake made marshmallow in Sedona

Who likes to drink juices, I think you should have several different types of juicers. I expressed the same opinion on a variety of devices - each - his own.
So it is here. There are no universal devices. Something better is done by a centrifugal SV, something by a screw, and sometimes a press is needed ...
Everything for my product works for me.
The most interesting thing is that "resounding" firms do not produce auger SV, and the quality of spinning by unknown firms is not inferior to expensive Korean ones ...
And second, what can you make a centrifugal SV for 20,000 (Bork type)? No matter how much they twisted and disassembled, not a single consultant could tell ...
Sergey Kornilov
Moulinex and Bork began to produce screw juicers, by the way.

I also read this super-duper review, interested in the favorite, Redmond 900. I consulted with my husband, we will take it, and make fruit smoothies for breakfast every day.
sergovlena
I read the review. I cannot say about all juicers, but specifically about the auger, what is written there, I do not agree.
The base of the juicer is heavy enough
I have a different model, not the same one. that in the review, but they are very similar. The base, I would not say that it is heavy, but due to the handle it is easily carried with one hand
And now to the disadvantages that, as we found out, are inherent in all auger juicers: a very narrow feeding throat.
It doesn't matter at all, a second and the apple is divided into 4 or more parts. I don't even cut the core. You can shove a whole carrot, but it's better to cut it all the same. I do not know about Oursson, but for me Hurom has a normal hole diameter
Absence of the "Drop of Stop" system. No matter how good the design is, the functionality comes first.
With Hurom you can close the spout and mix the juices
However, the device did not cope with other fruits and carrots as efficiently. Hence the obvious conclusion: the auger is the best solution for berries and very soft fruits (like a tomato, for example), greens. In addition, the auger only makes juice with pulp.
Lies. The auger does an excellent job with carrots. The efficiency is about 50% on medium-term carrots, and much higher on juicy products such as oranges, beets, zucchini, grapes. And juice with pulp goes on soft fruits, otherwise the juice is pure, somewhere more (beets, grapes, hard apples, cabbage, cucumbers, etc.), somewhere a little less (carrots), but say that everywhere the auger juice with pulp is categorically wrong.
And the biggest lies are further
But I had to tinker with cleaning. The device of the auger is complicated by many protrusions and small details: all this makes washing difficult, the mesh is just as hard to wash. 1 out of 3 for easy cleaning.
There are no problems at all with cleaning: I rinsed it out and that's it, I don't even always use a brush

sergovlena
And something else is not said there about pressing pomegranate juice, I'm not sure that the centrifuge will cope. In the auger, you can make nut milk, the juice of their wheat germ, and someone presses the juice from coniferous needles. IMHO, it is much more functional
Lettera
sergovlena, that model (Orson) costs, if I'm not mistaken, 2 times less than Huroma, what kind of plastic goes there and what brushes clean the mesh, it is not known, maybe there are no brushes there. Hurom is better, and the brushes are new and the auger is improved, BUT different weight categories. And this test, probably paid for by Redmond Such tests, where the "necessary" model-car and a small cart wins. I prefer to search the forums for information on the models I need

The centrifuge will not cope, I tried it on Phillips, the grains immediately flew to waste, and you cannot squeeze the grass there, except for celery, and then the efficiency is not very good.

And about the diameter of the hole, so there is the last NUK, Bork now sells it under his own brand, so there is a hole, a whole apple fits.

Rada-dms
sergovlena, you just can't say better than Lettera! I only vote for Koreans auger!
Rada-dms

I have Coway, Ourson's friends
As they say - feel the difference. In addition to the design, there is something else. Two outwardly identical models squeeze juice in completely different ways. Apparently the quality of the mesh and the auger is very important. Their pressure and the slots under the auger play a key role in the spin quality.
For a year now I have been using my Korean auger, and the previous Moulinex took it to the garage to the country house ...

And if, well, I really want clear juice, but it does not come from these products, then I simply re-pass the juice with pulp through the SV and that's it !!!

I continued to test my Deksichka. How many wonderful discoveries we have ...
Today I processed raspberries and grapes. Of course, a distinctive feature of juices from auger juicers is juice with pulp - I realized this for myself a long time ago. But the fact that the pomace can be absolutely dry, I learned only today. Earlier I wrote that apple cake was wet, currant cake was drier than apple cake, but grape and raspberry cake were absolutely dry. And I even understood the reason. At the first use of the juicer, I was in a hurry, actively helping to push the fruit-berries with the pusher. Today I noticed that there are too many seeds in the juice and began to filter through a sieve. The juice is very thick and did not want to quickly separate from the bones, so I did not use the crush, but gave the machine the full right to independently select berries, which I simply poured onto the tray. The machine squeezed the juice very slowly - I managed to filter the juice, wash the dishes, catch the crows, and she kept working. I even contrived to grind the bones into dust. As a result, the cake is dry. I rubbed it with my fingers, and he dust crumbled into a plate.
Here's how much juice I pressed:
It's grape
