Avocado Pear Jam

Ingredients

Avocado 1 PC.
Pears 3 pcs. [Br] (500 g)
1 large or 2 small lemons
Mandarin duck 1 PC.
Sugar 300-400 g

Cooking method

  • Peel the avocados and pears and cut into small pieces.
  • Cut the lemon into rings without peeling the zest.
  • Peel the tangerine and disassemble into slices.
  • Put everything in a saucepan, sprinkle with sugar. No water! Our jam will only be on its own juice!
  • If desired, you can add 1 teaspoon of zhelfix, after mixing it with sugar.
  • Depending on the free time you have, let this mixture stand, stirring occasionally.
  • After an hour, all the sugar will dissolve in the released juice, and you, without fear for the safety of the bucket, can safely begin to cook aromatic jam in the bread maker, turning on the mode you need for this.

P.S. Usually avocado is used for making various salads, but I found it interesting to make jam from it :) It is better to take a smaller lemon, its circles in jam look more beautiful. Tangerine slices and lemon circles are not torn apart by a kneader, it is very pleasant to catch them in the finished jam.

You can buy solid, but let it lie down. As soon as it starts to slip under the fingers, it is ripe. It is not desirable for him to lie further - it will deteriorate.
Unripe avocado is bitter. But it is not thrown away even if it has already been cleaned, but put into the refrigerator in a plastic box (or glass jar) with a lid. Taste it periodically. When ripe, the bitterness will go away.

Avocados are very distinctive. It has almost no taste of its own, therefore it is most often raw, seasoning with salt, pepper, lemon juice.
In Italy, it is popular to eat it in chunks in a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice. Add a little salt, leave for an hour, and then with good bread from a bread machine!
But in Brazil, avocados are preferred sweet.
You can make, for example, a delicious cocktail by whipping an avocado with condensed milk in a blender or simply adding sugar or honey.

I am attracted by these clock jams from a bread machine, it's not scary that they differ from the usual jam boiled on the stove, jams that have not been interesting to mine for a long time.
Now in supermarkets there are a lot of pears, a wide variety of citrus fruits, outlandish exotics - you can vary almost endlessly and everything will be interesting and tasty in its own way! It is nice to have such a variety in winter, and in summer you can frolic with the usual berries.
