And fillings are, for example, the following:
1.beets - 200 g, raisins - 100 g, sour cream - 50 g, sugar - 25 g.
2.beets - 2 pcs., Prunes - 10 pcs., Raisins - 1 tbsp. l., milk - 0.5 cups, sour cream - 2 tbsp. l.
Boil the beets, grate, put all the ingredients in a pan and simmer.
I did something in between. Sugar was added already when filling the pie, so that it was not liquid when stewing.
In general, in the villages a long time ago they baked pies with beets as sweet (sugar was not used, it was not expensive, I don’t know about honey).

Less than a year later, I finally tasted the beet-filled pies.

The filling was prepared from baked beets, and not stewed in a pan, and its composition is somewhat different ... but still the idea is yours, an_domini
And the filling I have is actually beetroot caviar, some of which went into pies: baked beets (500g), prunes (200g), walnuts (a handful), lemon juice, a little salt - scroll in a food processor until caviar (in grains so that).

Pies Autumn joy

I really liked the idea, the pies are generally quite sweet, but next time I will also add raisins, as in the author's recipe. And yet, I thought that it would be very tasty to try such a filling in rye-wheat pies
