Gingerbread Gingerbread
Category: Bakery
Ingredients
Butter 113 g
Margarine 113 g
Brown sugar without ramming 3/4 cup
Light molasses (honey can be used) 1/4 cup
Large egg 1 pc
Flour 3 1/4 stkn
Ground ginger 2 tsp
Soda 1 tsp
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Ground cloves 1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Salt 1/4 tsp
Cooking method

1 In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and spices together. Set aside.
2 Beat the butter with a mixer. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add the egg and molasses. Gradually introduce the flour mixture at a low speed (You may have to mix the last portions of the flour with your hands). Divide the dough into 3 parts, wrap each with cling film. Refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight. Before unwrapping, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. If the dough feels too soft after the refrigerator, add a little flour.
3 Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Roll out the dough 3 mm thick. Chill for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to cut the cookies. Use notches or place a stencil on the dough and use a knife to cut into desired shapes. Press in raisins, chocolate, sweets if desired.
4 Bake until crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven. Let it stand for a few minutes, and then use a metal spatula to transfer the gingerbread cookies to the wire rack to cool completely. Decorate as desired.

I also want to bake, but to be honest, the ginger in meat did not impress me, so I think about how it behaves in cookies.
Raw or ground? Ground only gives off a scent. In my case, there is a combination: ginger + cinnamon (color) + cardamom + cloves. All 1: 1.

I want to ask you, did you all add ginger to cookies? I also want to bake, but to be honest, the ginger in meat did not impress me, so I think about how it behaves in cookies.

I make sure to add raw grated ginger to the cookies. He gives it exactly the New Year's shade. In general, ginger goes very well in any cookie

And about ginger: no New Year's cookies can do without grated fresh ginger - this is both smell and taste and ... a holiday

Girls, and how much of it, fresh ginger to add, if according to the recipe - 1 tsp.? Grated, too, 1 tsp. add? Thank you!
Nagira
I have been baking gingerbread for a long time, different, different ... and I like fresh ginger and maybe I don't add to borscht, BUT - fresh in baked goods (for my sense of smell) - it is unacceptable it brings some kind of echo of the smell of dampness ... I understand that Everyone's sense of smell is different, but I can't help but share my experience (what if someone else has this ...) - be careful when adding fresh ginger, experiment on a small amount of dough.
High-quality ground ginger not only smells, but also has a speck
TiLDA, why 1 tsp? - in its recipe 2 tsp.
