Ingredients

For 20 donuts:
Flour 500 BC
Water 1 tbsp.
Butter 100 g
Eggs 2 pcs
Yeast 20 g
Sugar 100 g
Salt 1/2 tsp
Powdered sugar for dusting 1 sachet
Vegetable oil for frying 0.5 l

Cooking method

  • A year ago, I saw on TV a story about Petersburg donuts.
  • I really wanted to try it, I found a recipe in the internet. It turned out very tasty.
  • Prepare dough: mix 150 grams of flour, yeast, 1 tbsp. l. sugar, salt and a glass of water, knead the dough. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place. Add eggs, melted butter, sugar 90 g and 350 g flour to the risen dough. (It may take more or less flour, you need to adjust the amount, the dough should be a little stronger than on cakes) Knead the dough and let it come up.
  • Knead the finished dough, shape into round buns. Make large bagels from the rolls, I make them 10-12 cm in diameter. Let the bagels stand for 15-20 minutes. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan, fry the crumpets.
  • Put the ready-made crumpets on a dish, sprinkling with powdered sugar.
  • Bon Appetit.
