HC does not work, the gasket is a little different, or what? Although there are slots on the side, like my "native" gasket. But it doesn't close up to the end.
At the HC (as already mentioned here) I first "pour" the gasket (without removing it) with boiling water. It cuddles much more efficiently and almost does not smoke.

Here is an interesting controversy on the topic of the valve open / closed at the smokehouse.
I have Unit 1220 (next reincarnation is Brand's clone)
So I also fought with variations of hot and cold smoking and discovered a funny thing.
I close the valve myself :-) IMMEDIATELY! Manually! :-)

How does the valve normally close when the liquid is boiling inside the tank of a pressure cooker-smokehouse?
The steam comes out of the valve and then the pressure on it from the inside becomes strong - it jumps up / clicks in its silicone groove-bed and no longer "falls" inward, the vapor pressure keeps it from the inside. The tank is closed.

So, when smoking and with some EVEN cooking of some products, I am a little annoyed by the lost time / steam that went into the kitchen to close the valve.
And at the same time, it is enough to raise (with thin tweezers for torture ) the valve plug and hold it closed with your own hand. Pull this valve up - even from the very beginning of boiling / cooking.
And the steam inside the boiler will almost instantly gain "strength" to keep it already closed.
If this is not done, then the steam will go away (outward) for a long time through this hole in the valve and ONLY when the pressure becomes really strong it will block the valve by itself.
Everything would be fine, but smoking leaves not only steam but also the smell.
Therefore, if you immediately block the valve yourself, then the smell goes away less.

Self-locking of the valve from the very beginning of cooking - gives cool results even with cold smoking.
After all, with him the valve is generally open, but if it is forced to CLOSE, the result will be cool.
Well, not in the sense of an explosion or fire, but in the sense of increasing the concentration of smoke inside the tank, under the same conditions.
And there also the temperature rises from smoldering wood chips without smoke coming out - in general.

Even when I cook rice in (no longer in a smoking tank, but just in a pressure cooker)
That is, you can cook rice in an ultra small (almost critical) amount of water.
That is, pour two glasses of water over two glasses of rice :-) Or even less.
the rice thus turns out to be divine.
And here is an ambush.
The water will boil, and the valve will not close, because the VOLUME of pressure will not be created, and the temperature on the sensor will already go to the cooking start zone.
Here, too, the forced closing of the valve helps - by hand from the very beginning of preparation.
He kept the valve closed at the very beginning of the boiling of water in the pressure cooker, steam accumulated there much earlier (than with a normally open valve) and then released the valve - and the steam in the tank already holds it. The pressure has built up.

I will soon assemble myself such a manual retainer of this valve so that I do not hold it with my hands.
By the way, if someone has damaged, burned, etc. a cup for wood chips (for charring), then in honey. in fact there are such small sterilizers.
they are called bur sterilizers. Well, there are doctors in them sadists dentists are sterilized.
They are round (there are rectangular ones, but those are larger).
Here's an example:
Electric smokehouse-pressure cooker Brand 6060

or here:
Electric smokehouse-pressure cooker Brand 6060
Round small sterilizers - slightly larger than the standard wood chip cup for these models of smokers.
They are made of surgical steel. Cover made of the same steel.
Drill holes in them the size of a charring rod.And a few small holes on the sides - for better burning of chips (vent holes)
And which of them come out CUPS for wood chips is a song.
You cannot compare with the complete ones.
there are rectangular sterilizers.
Everything is the same - but the volume is slightly larger.
But they are very common.
easy to buy / on Avita in bulk for a penny:

Once again, I repeat, you need to take the smallest sterilizers for burs.
Here comes the perfect cup for a shepa in the framework of the design of an electric smokehouse :-)
I hope someone will help the thread.
I already have three wood chip cups made of such pieces.
For different types of wood chips for different smoking :-)

Girls and boys!
Can you please tell me, stupid, how to fix the chip cup on the heating element? The instructions say about the click, but I don't even have a trace of it.
This cup shakes, so that all the chips pour out to the bottom.
Manna
No, there is no click. You must first put it on with a square hole, and then with a round one. It is fixed with a square hole at the base of the heating element (pin). I don't know if she explained it clearly.
Babushka
Rituslya, on one side of the chip cup there is a square hole. It should be on the side of the bowl with the pin. There the pin is square and fits perfectly into the hole - the cup does not wobble. Good luck!
Oh, while I was writing, Manna answered ..
Rituslya
Manna, very clear, but she still walks with me.
But the little thing on TEN like a washer? ... Where is it going?

On one side of the cup a SQUARE hole on the other is round.
Dress in a square!
I describe it in everyday language (strictly understandable for girls)
...
Then WEAR on a square hole, so that the charringer would sew through the cup and get out already strictly through the Round hole out! is it clear?
The square will then sit on ... charring agent (there is also a square at the root of this) and will no longer be able to spin!

Manna
Rituslya, and what exactly does not work? The cup has some range of rotation on the pin, but does not flip completely
Rituslya
My square hole is not fixed at the base of the TEN. This cup is also calm and dangles in all directions. If it were a square by a square, it would be cool, and so at the base of the TEN there is only one thread.
Manna
Rituslyai.e. the cup rotates 360 °, right? It should not be
Rituslya
Manna, yeah, rotates 360 degrees, but on the bottom there was still a kind of nut. I am trying to string this nut on TEN, but in vain too. Maybe this is the point ?!
Manna
Yes, there is a nut on the heating element

This is how you can see her
Electric smokehouse-pressure cooker Brand 6060
Rituslya
Manna, but tell me, please, should this square groove be on the heating element itself, or should the fixation be due to the groove on this nut?
And in the photo you can see that there is a cup on the TEN, then it is fixed, with a nut, right?
CheBuRashGO
I say, I swear, I!
Life without Yumor and laughter is desperate sadness :-(
Sad and gloomy, like an almost endless working day in a dusty and boring accounting office.
Laughter is life, and humor has always been associated with erotica.
However, I "understood the hint" I'm not kidding anymore :-) I am silent like a fish in a smokehouse.

My square hole is not fixed at the base of the TEN.
It cannot be - there the square nut fixes the heating element itself, this is technologically.
You are not wearing it! (I would joke about the technique :-), but everything is strict here, like joking at the cemetery :-)
Put it on more tightly - the box will walk slightly, but it will not TURN over)
I actually had the same problem one to one.
Now, if I use my "native charcoal cup", I put it on at the place of smoking (and I have a loggia) I don’t MOVE the smokehouse anymore !!! neatly without breathing I fall asleep the sawdust, gently close the lid and then lift everything ..
if you shake the smokehouse, then this cup will immediately move off the square and turn over :-(
In theory, you can still slightly raise the stove nose.
where the end of the charring agent is.
The tilt will press against the base / square and the jar will not slide and turn over.
But this is current with dry smoking and slightly. When wet it is impossible .. the liquid level in relation to the heating of the area will be disturbed.
In general, I fought this phenomenon with tenderness and accuracy. If the boiler is not tugged, then the cup sits there on this square and does not spin. If you touch it, it will turn over.
Manna

Flight Number Five - Baked Milk

It's like everyone else. 1 liter of milk. Soup mode 99 minutes. Cover with a ring with which NOT smoked. I used a bowl without a pin. Previously it was not boiled for a couple. Only doused with boiling water.
There was silence after the valve was closed. After 40 minutes the hiss started. Everything inside was seething and boiling. I had the feeling that now milk was about to come out of all the cracks. But nothing of the kind happened. Almost until the end of the regime, the smokehouse sobbed, sometimes blew bubbles from the pressure indicator. But surprisingly, the milk level did not rise at all, as can be seen in the photo.

Wow! Che! Great how! But I don't have a prolongation of the temporary
I don't have it either! :-)
I am on the advice Muscovite bought friends from this forum: -0
I put stupidly on the STUDENT / jellied meat, it gives 99 minutes.
You can still play around with the auto mode for a LONGER time, but I thought that the temperature on the jelly is higher.
After these 99 minutes - or take out - the milk will be slightly brownish with a froth.
Or leave to keep warm.
There you can finally 24 hours.
I do this: jelly and then keep warm for 4 or 5 hours. For a total of 6 or 7 hours, it sits there in the heat.
It turns out BROWN !!!!!!!!!! I'm not really lying .. I need to take a picture :-) milk has a very tasty taste and smell.
BUT! I buy BARREL milk from Polyan :-) It is really FAT, I am even surprised at them - they keep the brand!

And perversions with ceramics inside the boiler are like variations of perversion.
I am creating a slow cooker as part of a pressure cooker project: -0
So far, very successful.
I pour water between the pot and the boiler.
Boiling water.
There are many moments, and it would be necessary to wipe the very keramo dish with strong boiling water before that.
Then fill it with a hot one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grub, then grind it all into the boiler (heated :-)) pour boiling water between the walls (and the ceramics should be put on silicone gaskets / they can be seen in the photo) and only then close + cut in the program and leave after it is HEATED for five six hours ? I leave it for the night.

As a result, AFUET!
Zhrtava in a ceramic pot / FRUBLUGrua :-) - just like from a slow cooker :-)
He (the boiler) took it out of the tank and that's it.
there you are preparing a dish :-) It will cool down and lay it out.
Very comfortably
Our St. Petersburg pots Lomonosov ceramics breeder near St. Petersburg cheburashit them of all sizes and for any kind of perversion! :-)
BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the merit of the Unit with its UNMEASED boiler size!
At first I grumbled that I was the only one to have such a boiler for holidays, and corporate ones :-)
Then I realized - it's awesome!
You can put everything there. Even alive midget You can cook carp there.
Everything fits and EVEN such a perversion - like cauldrons for porridge, cauldrons for that .. Together with the lids, so that the grub does not come into contact with this Teflon / ceramic coating than the Unit's cauldron is covered with.
I have nothing against its coating, but damn pure ceramic "tube" who is the best.
And HERE was the devil! In detail!
If you just put a ceramic inside the pressure cooker on the thermoelement of the boiler, then firstly it will not be properly battened down, and secondly, the thermoelement will NOT correctly remove the temperature from the ceramic boiler and burn the heating element, because it is sharpened for the aluminum thermal conductivity of the native pot !!! !
If, however, it is stupid to put a ceramic boiler into the dry tank of the pot, then it will also overheat and burn :-(
But if you put a ceramic boiler into the water bath of the pot, then the temperature sensor also removes T correctly and there is enough steam to close the valves and the grub is prepared in "tube-type" ceramics :-)
In short, Unit's 6 liter boiler the size of a helmet for the face / head of Sasha Bilogo / Muzychko (c) :-) A huge achievement.
In general, perversions with ceramics inside the Unit are just a perversion for the sake of an idea: -0

CheBuRashGO,
My "cigarette lighter" lid does not fall off, but you have to be extremely careful and slow to install the grilles with what you are going to smoke.

Oh yes! If you find a replacement for the silicone feet for these grilles, write here! My gratitude will be limitless.

I want to ask about the slow cooker. And you close the pot, or just cover it with a lid.
I got a Korean Dolsot, and this stone pot just fits. Only now the handles lightly touch the edges of Brenda's bowler hat.
Is this not critical for determining the temperature?
I will cook in a water bath.

I have a kenwood 707 slow cooker and want to see if the taste is different or not.

And another question. You write about Unit, but how to cook in the Brand? the same scheme or is something changing? which mode (program) is preferable?

A ceramic pot?
Sometimes I close sometimes I don't. I tried it differently.
did not notice the difference. If you close it, the water from the boiler lid of the Unit does not drip onto the cooking: -0
My pot made of ceramics is not "zadriet" (c) As you wrote, but is often covered up. IMHO in this case, there is no difference there is this cover or not.

IMMEDIATELY for TWO QUESTIONS: LEGS and EARS!
It is necessary to strictly use SILICONE, but it is not so often on sale :-( especially food :-(.
Ears of the pot.
In the photo above, you can clearly see that the ears of the pot are isolated from the walls of the kettle by two silicone muffin tins.
That would not rub against Teflon (I also have an extremely pot included / very tightly with these molds)
I put a large silicone mold on the bottom of the boiler. Her pink is also visible.
So that the bottom of the pot does not rub against the surface of the boiler.
When the water in a large cauldron boils bubbles pull the pot / it walks slightly and it can rub the walls with the bottom and ears and wipe the coating off the main cauldron :-(.

Cupcake tins large and small are sold in the fix price store
🔗
There are ALWAYS there, and these are the small ones that I used for the ears of the boiler IMHO, you can perfectly use the smoking stands for the legs.
Yes, of course it is unrealistic to put them on your legs.
But to throw on the bottom of the boiler and in them lower the legs of the grid of the smokehouse - how to do it IMHO.
And they cost a penny and the bottom does not scratch and the cupcakes can still be baked in them :-) and you can still have them in sex if they are ... cathedral at a sermon or in a library with highly respectable librarians, because kada librarians are young they joke about sex! I checked! And then yes, yes :-( Everything is too respectable :-( :-(.

In short, silicone molds for 38 rupees from fixsparis solve all problems. And in the family too.

Use what is at hand and do not look for another! (from) :-)

Guys, I'm writing again - did you get these silicone legs? Soon I have been living without them for three years! Not a single scratch! What - does your bookcase travel around the pan? No, isn't it? And where does the scratch come from?
CheBuRashGO
What - does your bookcase travel around the pan?
Well, theoretically, when you stick a living victim in the smokehouse and it tosses and turns, yells does not believe that you are capable of such a thing and the whatnot is shaking! food on whatnots you can move that.
One not very successful strong crunching with pressure when STORING the body of the fish with your hands inward on the whatnot - and the legs will tear off the Teflonoid coating. It may be that people are insured as well.

True, there are two more aspects:
Smoked acromy more this pan does not use in any way, so what it is covered at the bottom, it finally doesn't matter :-)
Yelozenia is certainly a rare case.

But that's exactly why I recommend chewing a cheap one used BOTH as a peel off coating and as a cake pan: -0
