Ksyushka, do you really see a minus in a halogen heating element, or is it a massive information attack by Hotter that has such an effect?

Vadim, Manna has already written everything

Quote: manna

I see a minus in the fact that the lamp can burn out, break. And the steel heating element does not have these disadvantages. And if we talk about the removable cover of the airfryer, then in such conditions the chance of breaking this lamp increases. The lamp can also burst when a drop of fat hits its surface, for example.

I have the same opinion and this is the first.

Secondly, a halogen lamp has a shorter thermal wavelength than a metal heating element, due to which the product is fried faster outside than inside = it burns or dries out outside. IMHO

And thirdly, for myself, I did not choose halogen only from the issue of safety in relation to children, since the burning lamp above the "hot pot" attracts the attention of children. I have not only the youngest (1 year 3 months) is distinguished by increased curiosity, but also the eldest daughter (9.5 years). My daughter also helps sometimes in the kitchen, she can stick her fingers somewhere and I would not want the glass lamp to fly apart (burst, cracked) from her curiosity. And this again brings us back to the "first".

A couple of years ago, I saw a picture in a supermarket, how a woman buying an AG with a halogen lamp, checking the goods, only turning the removable cover upside down, received a slight blessing and after 10 minutes of clarification it turned out that this very lamp burst. Then I decided that halogen - never. All the same, there is a metal tube, it is not thin and fragile glass. And for me as it is more familiar with metal teng in stoves, and in ovens, and in microwave ovens, etc. Forgive me if I said something wrong. I am not against halogen as such. But I don’t want to. But I have light bulbs - I have halogens at home, it's a little expensive, but the electricity savings are tangible

I'm not the only one that means I'm such a "little gray bunny"

Right now, I remembered well, it was in 2009, we just returned from vacation. We were in Kiev with my husband's sister, she has a hotter there. All the time that we were with them, she was cooking something in the AG, there were a lot of people, there was a lot of cooking, but here it seems like the process is almost automatic.Well, I've seen enough, tasted porridge from ceramic pots for breakfast, meat and fish for dinner. We came home and I began to drip on my husband's brain: let's buy. The trip to the Hotter branded department ended with the words: "You are crazy - 10 thousand, after the vacation, then" I agreed that I was wrong. Then she began to incline towards an inexpensive halogen (up to 2500-3000 and even less than 2000 happens). And it seems that my husband almost agreed. And then doing the purchase of products on the weekend and saw this in the Lenta. Everything, like a grandmother whispered a halogen from me. Moreover, my husband looked like an idiot, it became insulting

Yes, here I am all the time somehow avoided halogen. Even when I bought my airfryer, Irina (Brand's manager) offered me 35131, but I refused in absentia, due to the fact that it has a halogen. She didn't even look at him. And then I saw, and I was switched straight Although, of course, in all honesty, there are still some doubts But still ... there is something to dream about

Good day.
Let me also say a few words in defense of halogen.
An airfryer with a halogen heating element heats up faster and, as mentioned above, the glow of this lamp looks nice when the device is in operation. As for careful handling, this applies not only to the halogen lamp itself, but to the entire glass airfryer covers.
Manna
Elena, and we do not abuse halogen. But, you must admit that if it (a halogen heater) is compared with a heating element, then it (a halogen heater) is inferior in strength / reliability. And if we talk about the glass lid / flask of the airfryer, it is heat-resistant (read difficult to break), but what about this issue with the glass of the lamp of a halogen heating element? Is the lamp, as I understand it, the most common? Yes?
But I still wonder if there are any differences in cooking in an airfryer with heating elements and a halogen heater.Someone on the forum conducted such tests (Hairpin, I think), but I don't remember if there were any tangible differences

But I have light bulbs - I have halogens at home, it's a little expensive, but the electricity savings are tangible

Of course, I did not measure the wavelength of the heat wave for a halogen and a steel heating element, so I will only talk about facts.

1st fact: I have 4 children. At the time when I had a halogen airfryer at home, the children were from 1 to 11 years old. The halogen glow attracted no one to stick their hands in there.

2nd fact: Our company has sold tens of thousands of halogen airfryer. I'll be completely honest that there were only a few cases of halogen breakage. The incidence of halogen burnout is about the same as that of steel heating elements.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Vadim, I already wrote that I have nothing against halogen. But I'm afraid of its glow. Forgive me for speaking. More neither for nor against I will not say a word. Only in essence about 35128: what and how she cooked, how quickly she figured it out.
Vadim Solynin
Ksenia !!! I am very sorry, but you didn’t understand me AT ALL
I beg you to speak up

I'm just trying to figure it out. Previously, all buyers preferred with a halogen, now most buyers take with a steel element. As far as I know, Hotter has launched a marketing ploy - that halogen is bad. And I need to understand if customers really don't like halogen, or is it Hotter's move that influenced people's minds so much? AND ME YOUR HELP IS EXTREMELY NEEDED to figure it out
Elena Br
Ksenia, we are only glad if you and other members of the forum express your opinion regarding this or that Brand device or its components. How many people, so many opinions! And everyone's opinion is important to us, and these are not empty words.
If I chose an airfryer for myself, then I would also opt for reliability, not beauty.
Elena Bo
Whenever I decide to change my old airfryer, I will buy it with tenom. I am also afraid of lamps, look later, if anything, change. I do not like this. And in the shadow there is nothing to break. My old man's bowl has already burst from old age, but everything is in order with the ten. Although Chinese is cheap.
In general, I am ripe for this model. I like her very much. Stops only energy consumption (I have gas).

Perhaps Hotter's strategy is to blame. Or maybe the fact that people "tasted" halogen switch to heating elements. I do not know. But as I said, since I have not used halogen AG, I essentially cannot lend. Now only about 35128. Today I have toasted crackers from yesterday's rye-wheat bread, only made with barbecue seasoning. Salty, spicy turned out like true snacks

This is what I was guided by. And my choice was deliberate, and not under the influence of the momentary "WANT". And the wait of three months was worth it. AG Brand 35128 is cool. I don't want to hide it in the closet for now, and it stands on the table, although everything else has its place of residence in the closet

Although, perhaps, the experiment was not clean (the volumes of the flasks are different, which means that the flow of hot air is different), and since then, halogen heaters have probably undergone changes. In any case, in order to say whether there are differences in halogen heaters and steel heating elements, you must be able to compare them
Quote: Catwoman

you can objectively assess the pros and cons of halogen and steel heating elements, probably when you cook on both models, but only our guesses
And not only guesses, but, possibly, delusions inspired by rumors, and by Hotter, and fears from a strange glow, and indeed from a halogen bulb in a saucepan (), etc.

Therefore, Vadim, we, of course, expressed our assumptions about what we have not tried in practice. It's just that a piece of iron somehow inspires more confidence than a glass bulb.Or maybe we are wrong?

Lena, the pink salmon turned out as befits pink salmon - rather dry, but I did not expect anything more from pink salmon. You can grease it with mayonnaise, sour cream, but it's better for me as it turned out than with mayonnaise. It is unambiguous that in AG pink salmon is much more successful than fried. Personally, I love pink salmon in any form and its dryness does not bother me.

This is the question I received in another topic. And so today there was whole chicken for dinner: Airfryer testing Brand 35128
The chicken turned out to be very tasty, not dry at all. Even the breast, which tends to be dry, was gone with a bang for dinner. During this time, the meat was completely baked (weight was 1.5 kg). Under the heating element, the skin is a little tanned, but this is understandable. I was very pleased with the result, and my guests too - went home well-fed and full.

I would not say that in Hotter the chicken is drier than in Brand. There is little time difference. Chicken in 40 minutes in Hotter on the upper grill, and in Brenda on the lower grill during the same time. The display in the Brand, for me personally, is more convenient; it's VERY finely written in Hotter, I can't turn it on without glasses, but I can do without them with Brand.

Ksyusha, why do you need foil on your legs? I'm sorry if a stupid question
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Vadim, the question is not at all stupid. "Socks" made of foil, firstly, so that the heels of the chicken do not burn (I also wear "gloves" on the wings in the oven, and tie a "scarf" around my neck) and secondly, when the children saw such a chicken, they asked not to take it off and ate holding on to these "socks", legs "in a business way", as my friend put it. Later I will show you on the legs how I make a "holder" from napkins, like Kiev cutlets. And yesterday she immediately shook her with foil and killed two birds with one stone.
Wildebeest
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Ksyusha, and you have not tried to make socks for chicken from baking paper, nevertheless it heats up less than foil, and it also protects the heels. Paper socks can be trimmed nicely.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Wildebeest, I somehow did not think much. I always did it with foil. It seems to me easier to wrinkle than baking paper.
Yesterday, if not for the children, you would not have seen these "socks". If I need to "decorate" chicken heels for filing, I do something like this
