heat is generated by the dryer very good well, it's real to heat the room, especially on a four. There are pros and cons here. On the plus side, the room is heated, the linen next to the dryer dries instantly, often I even hang reusable baby cloth diapers on the dryer, the liners dry quickly.
Of the minuses, in the heat it is not entirely comfortable, to put it mildly. so I put her on the balcony where she works on two fronts.
Has anyone tried putting in yogurt? I read it somewhere, but I still can't get there. Our family consumes liters of yoghurt. yogurt makers for 1 liter. not relevant. I cooked 2-3 liters in a Tupper bowl, one of these days I will try it in a dryer. I will remove the two tops by protruding (for drying and the uppermost for drying) and put the container with fermented milk, close the lid and on one ... I think it should work out.

and the mushrooms dry remarkably and quickly. Dried white and meadow mushrooms. This time I took out dried meadows, poured them with water, and then fried them in a frying pan ... like they fried fresh ones.

Or maybe it's cheaper and more practical to buy another yogurt maker, or a cartoon with a fermentation mode, for example, a baby Redmond 01, just 2 liters - than driving a vegetable dryer in vain? If the dryer is good and practical, then feel sorry for it for a direct purpose, let it dry tons of vegetables?
Natalie K
maybe so, but again you need to buy it,

Well, it’s practical and it’s cheaper later. And if you drive a dryer, you’ll also have to buy it, but at a new price, already more expensive
And so at a normal price a dryer and at a normal price a yogurt maker or a redmond 01 (today 2900) - both will last longer for their intended purpose And all the more so since the dryer is not used in winter
Natalie K
Admin, no one writes like this, I will do this, I write try , that is, to experience. it will not work. And they constantly drive the dryer because of the yogurt - it's just crazy.

There is no way for me to do 1 - the indicator turns off when switching "2", it is necessary for warranty repair, but in the passport something does not indicate that it is in St. Petersburg. And that's what happened - I started to dry the plum and it dripped great juice onto the heating elements, it began to burn and smell accordingly, what should I do now? The instructions do not say that they can be washed, probably all this should burn? There, and the pulp stuck a little ...
Alexandra
Something no one answers, has no one ever got juice on the RADIATOR?
Pilgrim73
Virgin! Why are you panicking? I also got the juice from the plum on the emitters. I turned off the dryer, let it cool down, wiped it all with a damp cloth, turned on the dry again.
Does the indicator turn off when you go to 2 when you go from a higher temperature? So everything is fine! When I switch from 4 and 3 to one, the indicator of course turns off, since the temperature in the dryer is still high. When it cools down, then the indicator will turn on to 1 or 2 (depending on which level you put) automatically.
By the way, to prevent juice from getting on the emitters, you can use baking paper on pallets (preferably brown). Products are easily removed from it and the pallets do not need to be washed later. In this case, the paper can be reused. I dried all the fruits on it, made marshmallows, it's very convenient. The girls wrote about this at the beginning of the topic.
Alexandra
When I first turn it on and the next, it does not light up to "2" !!! And the plum dripped so probably because it started to dry at "3" ...I didn't lay the paper, I thought it was only necessary for marshmallow, I have only white paper now, it's called "Cinderella's parchment for baking".
Admin

It is better to drain the liquid even at the stage of sugaring, when you transfer the plum to a sieve, put it on the grate in one layer, so the excess liquid will come off the fruit faster - and only then put it on a tray in the dryer and at a high temperature until the moisture content of the plum drops , it will dry out a little from the heat
Pilgrim73
When I first turn it on and the next, it does not light up to "2" !!!

Strange ... The indicator should light up already in the on mode ...

I didn’t blanch and didn’t boil it in syrup, I laid it out in one layer with the skin down in half ... It worked for a very long time, and the emitters cannot be cleaned now - they have got the color of the Dolmatins ... And apples and mushrooms dry perfectly.

Yes, unfortunately this is exactly the case, it lights up anyhow - either by 1 or by 2. I do not know if this means that the emitters are switched on in different ways. We bought it on 19 August, we will have to call the seller, maybe they will say something what to do about it. We were unlucky with our purchases - and the autoclave just bought some bad one ...
Pilgrim73
For two days now I have been drying prunes in Dachnik. Based on past experience, when my plum juice leaked a little on the emitters, I decided to dry it on baking paper. Since there was no paper in the nearest stores, I cut the foil according to the size of the pallets and laid the plum on it. Everything dried out just fine. For 4 hours I dried on the 4th level, and put it on the 1st level at night. By morning, the plum was already partially dried and I turned the halves skin side up. Nothing stuck to the foil at all. I dried the plum on the 2nd level and in the end itself again on the 1st level. I chose the toughest prunes, it has much less juice. Such deliciousness turned out! My homemade plum in dried form turned out sour, and prunes were sweet-sweet. I am still drying peaches, I also choose the most oak ones. They also make very tasty chips.

I didn't have a little leaks for the first time, my emitters are now like Dolmatins ... So I'm going to call either the service, or contact the manufacturer, I must try to somehow bring them into a divine form, it seems to me these emitters are made of special glass , do not rub hard.
Pilgrim73
I have only two small spots on the emitter. I probably noticed in time and wiped them off, but not everything was wiped off. Now I went and looked, these specks are burnt and may even fall off themselves. Tomorrow I'll try to wipe it, now the lamps are hot, I'm drying 4 kg of peaches.
Alexandra
I called the store now, and here's the horror - it looks like there is not even a service in St. Petersburg, because they gave me the mobile of their boss, they said he would decide what to do, the boss didn't pick up the phone yet ...
Natalie K
I also got a little dirty when drying cherries. But I cleaned it neatly and that's it. Now, when drying pomodors, berries, etc., which gives juice, I first put it on baking paper, and then transfer it to a clean sheet.
We mainly make marshmallows.

Somewhere the instruction to Summer Resident-4 was touched, and I have never dried the greens in the dryer, can someone tell me - what is there about the greens, in what mode they recommend? I also came across a defective dryer - its switch-on signal lights up between 1 and 2, and they have no trace of service in St. Petersburg, they offered to send it to the plant for repair.
Alexandra
Oh - I was already here crying about the defective dryer ... Sclerosis ...
Pilgrim73
Dry greens at the lowest temperature, this is level 1. Under no circumstances should you put it overnight. Greens dry very quickly, in 2-3 hours.
Alexandra
Thanks, but I don't have this unit. Since I need to dry a lot today (I’ll leave tomorrow), I have no time to cut it, I have dried the whole land and already dried the first batch, first by 3, then by 2 (but these are my 3 and 2, which are possibly 2 and 1) ...

After 2 years of operation, my dryer began to turn on as expected, apparently did not want to return to Penza from St. Petersburg. So I began to dry the plums, now on paper and starting from "1", there is no time to blanch.

Hello everyone! I wouldn’t be overjoyed at the summer resident if it weren’t for one BUT ... I have a very headache from him. At the beginning I stood in the corridor, then for this reason I moved him to the balcony. But I work from home, and my desk is next to the balcony door, and again the same problem. That is, I turn it on only when I leave the house, or I sit in another room. Does anyone have the same problem? Is the Summer Resident harmful to health? pi es: I'm 30 years old, I don't have headaches at all
Maria Evgenevna
I read it))) I also want a Summer resident))) And how do you store it in winter? On an unheated, but glazed balcony, is it possible? And does anyone have a link to the instruction?

I would like to hear feedback from the owners of the dryer after a long period of operation - are you still satisfied with this dryer? how are things with the service today? Electric dryer Summer resident

Eleanor, this can be seen from the description of the dryer.

electric dryers without blowing are rugs, and when the air stagnates, they will not dry out soon

as well as stoves, sunshine

All electric dryers = IR radiation + forced convection

Irsha, you are confusing drying. Summer resident KS with a fan and, therefore, with forced air supply. And just a Summer resident (2 or 4) without a fan. And there is no forced convection.

Good evening!

Dear forum participants!
Tell me, please, or poke your nose into the topic. I climbed for two days and did not find the answer.

Cooking dried apricots in Dachnik-4.
3 attempts and to tears.

Either it overdries or does not dry out.
The pallets are swapped every hour.
Dried and according to the instructions (3 hours for 1, 3 hours off, 3 hours for 2, 3 hours off, 10 hours for 3)
And according to the advice from the Internet: 2 first and last hours for 2, between: 5-6 hours for 3.

And the most exciting questions: beautiful elastic wet dried apricots from the store have nothing to do with a natural product and reality, right?
How to determine in general that the right amount of moisture remains and no more, so that dried apricots do not deteriorate during storage?

Thank you in advance!

About the store: all (most, at least) dried fruits are dried on an industrial scale using chemicals, and homemade dryers will never be as beautiful as from the store.

If you lubricate it with petroleum jelly or glycerin, it will also shine and shine.
Pay attention to the fact that when you wash dried apricots or store prunes at home, your hands are constantly in some kind of oil-fat?
Two options: either the fruits contain a lot of their fat, or the fat on them for shine

I have dried apricots this year (as well as last, however). In the most natural way. She broke it, took out the bone and into the dryer. Dry at night, if large, then night and half a day. I don’t dry up to the pebbles, but in principle, you can. And then store in a hanging pillowcase. But if a person lives in an apartment, and not like me in a house (with an attic)
Then a great way ~ to hide dried apricots in bags in the freezer.
Excellent! Places take up little. They do not turn into ice floes. Get it out in winter and eat it. Straight sweets. And I put in baked goods and in compote. And so I gobble up.
Well, who exactly needs "dried apricots", I will not advise here. I do not cook it in sahvra. Sugar is contraindicated for us. But there are recipes on the forum!
Good luck with your presets. Everything will work out. Ask.

Hello!
The Dachnik4 dryer has been with us since 2013. We are not overjoyed. We have a big harvest. From July to October it works almost around the clock. We dry apples, pears, marshmallows, herbs.
Very, very satisfied.
Relatives, neighbors in the garden and their relatives and friends bought the same dryer on our recommendation. Reviews are only positive.
Last year, after reading reviews about the Isidre dryer, I bought it for my parents. She took it for herself for a while.
What can I say in comparison.
Isidri has one plus - the marshmallow is more attractive in shape. It may be more convenient to do it there. Everything.
Isidri dries in comparison with Summer residents twice as slow, at least. Volume is also limited in Isidri. The Summer resident includes much more.
And Isidri makes noise, unlike the Summer resident. And the air heats up too.
So the Summer resident is ahead in many important indicators, and the price is more comfortable. in the end, taking into account the cost of electricity and time, it is better to have a Summer resident4.

Tatyana, this is how much money is needed to buy-to buy such a number of pallets? And where to put such a tower?
Isidri is not for good-yielding gardeners. I would say - for city dwellers with purchased crops and small harvests. Well, marshmallows for sale.

Admin

Natasha, the topic does not seem to be about isidri, but I will answer

Isidri is a hardy horse, she will take 10 trays and 20 trays and you will get an excellent product, the power of the dryer is excellent. And it is great for gardeners, the isidri-1000 model is designed for them, which is written on the isidri website, and our users confirm. And they dry even in the bathroom on a board

It is very profitable to buy trays in addition, this is a one-time purchase, but you can use it all your life, sorry. And this is beneficial if we estimate the cost of purchased dried fruits in winter. All trays will pay off in a couple of seasons

I dry on the balcony in summer, in winter all 15 trays of isidri are in the pantry in the far corner.

Please tell me what is in the instructions for drying greens? I can't open it from my phone.

TOPIC about the Summer Resident. Greens are dried on a unit. In general, on Dachnik 4, there is a table with modes and time on the top outside on the lid.
If you have a different dryer, then it will be in a different topic accordingly.
Sashunesha
Thank you. I have a Summer resident 4 without this table, I bought it for a long time.

2013 or earlier.
NiLarna
It's been a long time since I came here)))

Hello everyone! I have been the lucky owner of Dachnik-4 for 10 years already.
My beauty works, makes me and the whole family happy (TTT, without fail)
After the first euphoria and experiments, a very definite list of what I dry every year was formed:

The first is raisins. When a new harvest of quiche-mish appears in the markets, I buy alternately green, black and dry. I don’t remember the last time I bought raisins, I’m so used to my own! And in bread, and in pilaf, and in casseroles, and in porridge - it's everywhere!

The second is dried apricots and prunes. No blanching or other troubles. I washed it, cut it into halves, took out the bone - and onto pallets. I don't turn it over, I don't stir it (I lay everything out in an even layer, the halves don't lie on top of each other), I just rearrange the pallets. It dries for a long time, I'm not fond of high temperatures (I don't put it above 2), but I'm not in a hurry - I have time to dry everything for my family, I don't do it for sale. Dried apricots, of course, are not the same as in the markets. And prunes do not shine. And I'm drying out pretty hard. But everything is tasty and goes well into porridge and bread. Before use, hold a little in hot boiled water - and you can cut into pieces (for casseroles, for example) or have a snack)))

The third is apples. Apple chips are my love! When apples are harvested, harvesting begins. And apple chips take pride of place in it. My apples, cut off the peel (I don't like chips with peel), cut out the core, cut it into slices for Berneret and lay the slices in an even layer on pallets. Dries quickly. Everything dries up perfectly for 2 nights
Another apple marshmallow. Here you can dream up! I add different berries, apricots, spices (cinnamon, cloves). Recently I bought beautiful silicone pallets - a little smaller in size than the pallet in the Summer House and about 1 cm high. In general, they fit perfectly in the summer resident's pallet and it is a pleasure to remove marshmallows from them!

Fourth, I always dry some cherries. Its sweet and sour taste is ideal for some cereals, sweet bread and sweet pilaf.

Fifth, I make a vegetable dressing for soups, etc. (onions, carrots, separately sweet peppers - I do not put it in every soup, therefore separately). Mine, I clean, rub it on a coarse grater (I cut the onion into rings) and pour it into pallets in a not very thick layer. Dries quickly. In dried form it takes up an order of magnitude less space, and gives the taste to soups and other dishes completely different, not like fresh vegetables. The taste and smell of dried vegetables is brighter and more concentrated. Dishes with them "sound" more interesting.

Sixth - greens. Everything is generally simple here, I dry it on a 1-ke, the main thing is not to dry it out, it dries instantly.

Here, we dry these products constantly, we eat with our family with pleasure and we also treat our friends)))
Sometimes I do different experiments, but, as a rule, the results of experiments do not fall into the above list - so, we indulged ourselves, and okay.
I lick my lips at Belevskaya marshmallow - I have an idea to cook it in a dryer. I think I'll make up my mind this year.
My assistant is standing in the summer and autumn - when the peak of drying is - on the balcony (glazed balcony, rain does not drip on her). It's hot in the apartment.
As the workpieces end, I bring it home and keep it at home for the winter / spring. It's still damp on the balcony in winter, it's not useful for an electric appliance.
