Stewed potatoes with Kefte or "BOTATO KEFTE"

Ingredients

Kefte (meat) 500gr
potatoes 500gr
tomato 2 pcs
onion 4medium bow

Cooking method

  • Kafte is small minced meat, with the addition of onions and parsley ...
  • We cook Kefte: meat at your discretion (not fatty and not very dry), preferably neck. Twist the meat in a meat grinder (fine nozzle), knead well for two minutes, twist again and mix or beat well again. Chop 2 onions and parsley leaves very finely (or in a blender, but not into a homogeneous mass). Mix with meat, add salt and spices (black, red pepper) and knead everything well again. You can moisten your hands a little with water and knead, so that the meat becomes a little stringy ... Everything, kefte done!
  • Divide the kefte into 3 parts. 2pieces make small meatballs for the interlayer)
  • Peel potatoes, tomatoes and onions. Cut everything into rings. Berner is great! and lay out in layers in a saucepan.
  • a layer of potatoes, on it a layer of kefte, a layer of tomato, a layer of onions ... then again potatoes, onions, kefte and tomatoes ... Fill with water so that it almost covers the last layer. Top with salt, pepper, add tomato paste, butter or ghee. We put on medium heat and cook for about 30 minutes, so that it would boil but not flow out. Periodically, it is not necessary to mix much, so that it does not stick to the bottom.
  • In the meantime, while the potatoes are boiling, we divide the last part of the kefte into four parts and wrinkle them, giving the shape of the sausages ... and put each (or two) on a skewer (hand rubbing well). We bake on coals or in the oven (preferably the presence of smoke), you can, of course, fry in a frying pan, but that's not quite right ... Kefte on skewers is cooked very quickly! the main thing is not to overdry, should be juicy!
  • everything is ready at the same time!
  • add one kefte sausage to each serving of potatoes with kefte and serve hot!

the last tricks with kefte are not necessary, you can put everything in a saucepan ... and reduce the amount of meat!
this is so for the future, you can use meat when it is in nature, and the Kefte option is more suitable for children ... the first time try as described above, and then decide for yourself!
