Spicy lamadjo tortilla

Ingredients

Dough
matsoni (can be replaced with kefir diluted with water) 0,5 l
wheat flour 1 kg
salt 1 tsp
soda 0.5 tsp
Filling
fatty lamb 1 kg
bulb onions 5 pieces.
garlic 5 teeth
cilantro, parsley, dill the bigger, the better
a mixture of hot peppers and salt taste
tomato paste about 100 g

Cooking method

  • These fragrant, piquant, spicy cakes were first treated to me in Yerevan back in Soviet times, since then they have firmly entered our diet. At first glance, they seem to resemble pizza, but this is not pizza. Try it!
  • Knead the dough from flour, yogurt, salt and soda and let it rest for half an hour. In the meantime, we will prepare the filling - we pass the lamb with onions and garlic through a meat grinder, then add finely chopped herbs, salt, pepper and tomato and a little water to the minced meat so that the minced meat acquires the consistency of an easily spreadable paste.
  • Pinch off pieces of the size of a tennis ball from the dough, roll them into thin, 3 mm thick cakes, spread them with minced meat and bake in preheated to 200about oven for about 10 minutes. Finished cakes are folded in pairs with the filling inside.
