I took a photo. Above there is a holder and 3 graters from the multi-mixer, and from the bottom there is a holder and 4 graters from the "cube".
With the naked eye, you can see that they are different in diameter, she did not exactly measure it.
Food processor Bosch MUM 5 ...
Interesting! Even the mount (middle) on the disks seems to be different!
sazalexter
Alenky Graters for the MUM5 combine: MUZ45PS1, MUZ45AG1, MUZ45KP1, Double-sided disc grater (large / small) NR "2" and NR "4",
MUZ45RS1, Grater Disc-grater medium NR "5", everything else from the crafty, "will fit, will not fit" each grater contains a Bosch catalog number.
Alenky
sazalexter! Yes, I understood everything! I have a mumik 8, and my daughter has a mum 5, all discs are suitable for universal cutting, are interchangeable! But on a multi-mixer on mum 8, the graters are the same with universal cutting, and in mum 5 in the photo they seem to be smaller in diameter! And in the service center they said that they are the same for cutting and for multi-mixer on Mum 5! And how to understand?
sazalexter
Alenky I do not know, there is a part number on them and you need to navigate, everything else, as I said, is from the evil one. For me personally, the MUZ5MM1 multi-mixer is useless, graters with the same cutting as in universal cutting. For some housewives, a vital thing, how many people have so many opinions.

Yes. They are completely different both in fastening and in diameter.
Now I only insert the middle one into the "cube", and use the rest as needed in a multi-mixer.

I want to say in defense of the multi-mixer attachment.
There are 2 people in my family. When I cook soup (small saucepan) I make vegetable slices on it. I rub a piece of cheese - making pizza for good It has a utility knife. Good thing! Dough for one pizza. Excellent 1 minute. Pieces of meat. Chunks of nuts. It is more convenient to wash and assemble than the attachment on the main harvester.
Of course - when it comes to big cooking, then I use a large bowl.
Well, for a large family - it is clear that the thing is useless. Probably!

good morning everybody

literally a couple of days have passed since the day you bought the mumik, and yesterday I decided to knead the yeast dough.

somewhere for 2 minutes he stirred the components (I had not yet had time to pour water) and ZDOH my shaitan-machine.
I went through everything that is written in the instructions and recommendations, but I did not succeed in reamination.
I tried to turn on the blender, mixer, slicer (the plastic inserts stuck everything in place during use) - and he blinks and that's it.

kind people tell me what to do? should I go back to the store?

with respect,
Erbol

Yesterday I grinded cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla, sour cream for the curd mass on a blender - it turned out, now the purchase of a multimixer is being debugged indefinitely, or rather now I do not see the need for it, I also shredded cabbage for pickling - I liked it, but the shredder did not work so quickly as I expected, although it depends on what speed !!!
I tried one grater on a carrot or vice versa - finely so .... I really want to buy a fries attachment and for Korean carrots, but this is already next month, especially since this is not such an expensive purchase, compared to a combine
tonight I’ll beat the biscuit and cut the apples on the biscuit cube ...

It's not that, we also sell this.It is used for juice from berries, tomatoes and soft fruits. I read negative reviews, mainly about the fact that it clogs up after one glass - you need to remove and clean it. And in general, you can't grind cottage cheese on it, boiled tomatoes (for tomato paste), and puree soup too (if the vegetables have coarse fibers, even after the blender they are felt, I rub it through a sieve, for example, kohlrabi puree soup) - in general, this attachment has a different functionality

received a response from the German service department to my inquiry about the grinding attachment / knife (like the one that the MCM5529 has) - they answered that, unfortunately, there is nothing like that for the entire MUM series and is not planned ...

Hello, I am racking my brains which model to choose, help me decide !!! Different sites have different packaging options Does the MUM 54420 have a citrus attachment and a protective plastic cover for the metal bowl (and is it needed)? And can I buy a dicing attachment for it? I'd like to have cubes. I also watched MUM 54251 and 56340, do they have cubes? and in general how do they differ? I must say right away that a meat grinder is not needed. Buy to have a meat grinder lying around or pay extra and buy a dicing attachment for MUM 54420, if, of course, it fits him? HELP, please, my brains are already boiling !!!
Alex dragon
I have a Bosch MUM 52120 in the same configuration as a Bosch MUM 54420, only less power and without a juicer (judging by the description in the Hotline). Basically I use a mixer: beat the whites, knead the dough with a bang. The son loves to make cocktails in a blender. Once I shredded cabbage, the plastic adapter-adapter for graters and shredders broke. The service said that the case is not guaranteed. The husband then asked a friend to grind such a metal piece and now everything works. I have a lid for the bowl, but I only use it if I'm kneading very thin dough (for pancakes, for example). For MUMs of the 5th series, there is a separate cube cutter MUZ5CC1. I also look at her and wait, maybe it will get cheaper. As for me, it is a little expensive for a nozzle 1000 UAH.

Alenky
: flowers: The cube nozzle itself (the one that is yellow in the photo) is the same, but where to put it, it is inserted into the bowl in the MKM, and in the MUM in a special nozzle (again, you can see in the photo), the bowl for the MKM and the MUM nozzle are different! You can't put a cube on a mumik without this attachment! I do not know clearly explained!

Hello,

as I said earlier, my MUM harvester bent after 2 days after purchase. checked in the service, and it turned out that the motor melted the body from the inside and from the bottom of the "trunk" of the MUMka went outside by millimeters 2. The service center sent a request to BOSCH for further actions. As a result, I waited for an answer about ngedel, and yesterday I was given a new MUMik, the same 54251.

it turns out that I alone faced such a problem, given that I finally did not strain it.

so keep in mind, this happens, most likely it is a factory defect.
ala
Today they brought my MUMIK !!! Happiness is immeasurable ... !!! I only managed to beat 2 eggs with sugar and flour, and make tomato sauce in a blender ...

For 3 days now I am the owner of MUM 54251 !!! I whipped the dough onto a biscuit - quickly and airy, and most importantly - saving time. Cubes are super. Still, however, it is difficult with the assembly process, but nothing - we'll master it. And I also liked the cocktail in the blender (homemade yogurt + banana + sugar), the children drink 2 glasses at a time.
Once again, thank you all for your help in choosing a harvester !!!!
Fox ^^
Already two months ago we bought a mum 5 (without a cube cutter, it is true, silver with a metal bowl) and although I do not use it too often, he coped with all the tasks with a bang) I warn you that I am a beginner as a cook, but maybe this post will push you to do something or how it will help when using this miracle of technology)
From what he was puzzled by:
Blender. A bunch of cocktails (strawberries, bananas were used and all this with milk (or yogurt, or cottage cheese), sometimes ice cream was also put in - it grinds everything to homogeneity (well, if only the cottage cheese is not completely finished, although it may be simply ground in the wrong sequence) and delicious it turns out); puree soups - so far only twice cooked, from spinach and mushroom (mushrooms were ground into a homogeneous gruel, and with them potatoes, carrots). If you put a lot of vegetables in a blender, then it will grind only from the bottom, without pulling the top pieces down. Better to put in a little with a few spoons of broth.
A couple of times we grinded greens and tomatoes in a blender. Of course, it's not very convenient to get greens, but if you get the hang of it, everything will work out)
Meat grinder. They used it once, I think it is superfluous in such a unit - it is very small and if you do not use it carefully, then the motor can fly, but it’s not worth it) Although we ground everything successfully, except for the bundles they had to be removed immediately. When grinding, they spun the meat grinder a couple of times and took out the stuck meat (which was finely chopped anyway, but still got stuck). Advice to those who nevertheless decided to use a meat grinder - loosen the ring a little, otherwise it may break (this is the statement of my husband, whom I trust in such matters)).
Graters. Used a couple of times in total. Fine zucchini grater - good zucchini pancakes turned out. Vegetables, potatoes with carrots were cut into slices (as a fur coat for meat for subsequent baking). There is no waste at high speeds (well, if only some small pieces can stick at the wall), in fact, on small ones you can't rub it, you can't cut it normally. The cheese grater also grated the cheese on the pizza for 5-7 seconds) And grinds everything else with a good speed, saving time and effort)
Whisk for beating. An excellent thing because of which this model was mainly chosen (I originally wanted to buy a blender, but as it sometimes happens, requests grew in the process of finding the right equipment)). Beat the eggs - please, cream, pancake dough, biscuit dough, waffle dough - everything worked out.
Whisk for cream. I used it less often, I remember that the butter cream was a success (the opinion is certainly not professional, since I was preparing it for the first time, but I liked it, it stood with steady peaks, as they say, and did not settle).
Dough hook. The most favorite nozzle) The dough kneads perfectly, do it with your hands - you really need to try) Kneading both yeast and yeast-free (for pies, muffins, pizza, zucchini pancakes). I put butter in pieces, after a while he mixes it himself with flour until smooth. Yes, it bites with its nose when the dough is steep, but what to do if it is not only viscous but also pulls down, the nose of the combine is mobile, after all (it turns up, down), and therefore kneads like that. But he kneads cool At first it may seem that he smears the dough on the walls, but after waiting 2-3 minutes he collects all this from the walls into one lump, does not have time to dry out)
Juicer. It turned out to be inconvenient for me and there is no need for it. The inconvenience is that the sides are low, the cone in the center is narrow, and in case of an unsuccessful turn, all the walls, floor and ceiling will appear in the juice and pulp))) A couple of times I gently squeezed grapefruits with oranges in it.

In the not-so-near future, it is planned to buy new attachments, if it really will be necessary, but for now, these are enough)

That's all, if I remember something else (try it), then I will unsubscribe.

Congratulations on your purchase! You probably already understood what a plastic lid is for - so that it does not splash during kneading, whipping and other things.

Good evening, members of the forum, I studied the forum inside and out, I just can't decide between the MUM 54 251 and MUM 84 models.
The selection criteria are simple, I want to see all the functionality in one. Family of 3 adults.
1. I need a meat grinder (I don't want to buy additionally for our small kitchens)
2.54251 attracted cube cutter
3. MUM 84 attracted power (which means the meat grinder will work better), the ability to roll out the dough (because I often bake)
4. all other functions seem to be similar
5. one problem is the price.
ADVISE WHAT TO DO !!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR YOUR FEEDBACK (I think you know this feeling of choice).
Natasha K
You know, she herself suffered for a long time, I can only say that I chose 54 and its capacity is enough for everything, but it's up to you to decide anyway! Enjoy your shopping and a great helper. And as I am a fan of cutters, this is an incomparable sensation from an instant "bowl" of salad - only emotions
Paul @
Oh my God! The more I read, the more I get confused. People, please help me choose a harvester (with a cube required) with a good set of attachments. With the power has not yet decided what is needed ??? No meat grinder needed (already available) I choose from BOSCH MUM
ala
In BOSCH MUM, there is only model 54251 with a cube, or another model of the 5 series with the possibility of additional equipment with a cube - but it turns out to be expensive ...
kirch
I have a model without a cube. The meat grinder was not needed, but had to be bought with it. I bought the cube separately. It's so bulky. I don't want to get a salad. I used it in the fall, when there were blanks. I'm so happy with my Bosch. The dough for pies, dumplings, noodles kneads perfectly. Today I was kneading the dough for a cake. I use it almost every day. But I do not use small quantities for any different shredder. It's easier for me to do this on Berner. And for the blanks, that's it. I chopped cabbage this year.
Paul @
Thank you for such a quick response. You have to think about the choice. I don't want to clutter up the kitchen, you need something functional. But the cube is very necessary.
Can you tell me about the speed 700/900/120? Which one to choose, what does it affect?
ala
The power of the food processor affects the speed at which food is processed. I have a capacity of 900 - enough for me.
lana19
... The price of the combine and the quantity of products produced depend on the power of the motor, the more, the higher the power. The power does not affect functions such as whipping and kneading dough. When choosing a combine, experts advise to focus on the power and volume of the bowl: 1.5 liters. bowl - power up to 300 W, 2 liters. bowl - power 400 W, 3 liters and more power from 700 W-1500 W. MUM 54251 has a bowl of 3.9 and a power of 900 and MUM 8 has a bowl of 5.4
kirch
I have a capacity of 900, a bowl of 4.5 liters. I was specifically looking for a bowl of this volume, because I don't knead the dough in large quantities and I don't beat eggs
Zoya Grishina
So I've been racking my brains for two days now, which combine to buy: MUM 54251 or MUM 54240 with a Cube? Price doesn't matter. I think simply, if I choose 54240 and the Cube, it will be easier with the replacement of the graters (it will not be necessary to tinker with them in the Cube, the Cube will be on its own). Or I'm wrong? Girls, my head just pops, it's always so difficult to choose.
lana19
Zoya! These combines are the same! 54240 without a cube! Buy 54251. A cube is How to put on graters or a cube ---- first the bowl with a screen (I don't know what else to call it) at 54240 is not transparent. Then, either a grater or a cube. Nothing complicated.
lana19
Food processor Bosch MUM 5 ... Food processor Bosch MUM 5 ...
Here's a look at the photo --- yellowish --- this is a cube. It is pulled out and a grater disk is put in its place.
Zoya Grishina
At 54240, the cable winding is not automatic, but for me it does not matter.
I just thought that if I buy it with a Cube plus, then it will be a little easier for me to work with different graters (in 54251 it will be more difficult to put them into the Cube through the nozzle). And so it would be easier to put graters in 5420. and if you need to cut Olivier, etc., use the Cube already.
ala
The cube and graters are placed in one bay - either the grater (which is currently needed) - or the cube.
Otherwise - there is a mount - and you put what you need at the moment, but in no way - on a cube - a grater ...
Zoya Grishina
No, I think you misunderstood me. In the 54251 model, in order to supply me to. L. grater, I have to remove the attachment from the Dice for dicing, and then put another grater (necessary), and this is quite gemorno.
In 54240, all graters are easier to put (there will be no need to disassemble the cube). And if you need to, for example, chop a vinaigrette, put a nozzle (purchased separately) Cube and voila.
lana19
Still do not understand! Do you mean that your combine will always stand assembled with a grater attachment? But in order to change the grater one to another, you will need to open the lid, remove one disc and put another. (No matter what model) The cube is the same grater.I mean the yellow part. We put a transparent bowl --- wanted to grate carrots --- put a disc. If they wanted Olivier, they put a yellow cube in a transparent bowl. And if you want to make dough or roll the meat, you still need to remove the grater attachment. Changing nozzles and graters at Bosch is very convenient. I don't see a problem. And buy an extra cube with your own bowl? What for ? You will need additional storage space for it!
