Tatiana.k, in the previous message, under the nozzle, I meant the fruit holder. And in the Berner there are no knives that are built into the mandolin body - at 6 and 9 mm. At the expense of the bottom, there is cutting into cubes.
And tell me, please, is the tail completely erased in the holder, or is there a stump of a few centimeters, like in a Berner?
notka_notka
Veronica, in Berner a tail of a few cm ??? Why do you do it this way? There, if a stub remains, then it is millimeter, often thinner than a given size.
I'm still looking at Mandalina because I really love pianist. But in my heart I understand that, having Berner (who is still completely satisfied), so many similar lines in the house are too much
Lilida
Polskix_nika, the tail remains, but it is small.
Polskix_nika
Berner is a 25-year-old, brought by his father from abroad back in those days, she saw at work with her mother, she always had such tails, she, to be honest, recently tried to grate carrots on a Korean grater and nothing came of it, the old one, apparently, got tired , at one time worked wonderfully well with all my friends! and in the process of choosing a berner, I will take either a mandolin at an interesting price now, the kitchen is small and this and that, it will obviously be too much))))) so I am tormented by the choice, I read you)))) judging by your surprise, obviously something did not do that, sorry, for the stupid question and thanks for any information
susika
Polskix_nika, I have both Berner and Mandolin-Berner - few nozzles (thickness) and that the nozzles need a separate place - I don't like it.
In the mandolin, everything is inside. If the price is the same, then mandolin is better.
Mandolin - there are legs with silicone pads - so as not to slip. One edge is overstated. The flexible board-board was bent, the vegetables were poured out where necessary.
At Berner, my frame broke from constant use, I bought it additionally.

I want to show pictures of Mandolin ...
There are two knobs to adjust the thickness of the slices from 0 to 9 mm (round) and to adjust the distance between the knives (triangular)

If the round handle is on the "lock", then the blades are closed and you cannot get hurt.

Very comfortably. On Berner, only two thicknesses can be used by inverting the bladeless insert. Although, if you buy a protective insert, you can get a third thickness.

If we are using an insert for straws or "Korean carrots, then we need to set the thickness to" O "

Moving on to the knives. Triangular handle on "lock", knives lowered.

Handle on "6". The knives are lifted with a distance of 6 mm

Handle on "9", distance between knives 9 mm

Conveniently, there is no need to change individual inserts with knives, like Berner's. But it's a pity that only two thicknesses. You can buy additional inserts from Berner and get blocks of 1.6x1.6 3.5x3.5 4.5x4.5 7x7 and 10x10 mm. But in Mandolin, you can get sticks: 6x1, 6x2, 6x3, 6x4, 6x5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 6x9, 9x1, 9x2, 9x3, 9x4, 9x5, 9x6, 9x7, 9x8, 9x9 plus straw (which replaces 1.6x1 , 6 by Berner).

I have been using Berner since the beginning of the 90s. I changed not one, three sets, because it "dies" over time. I like the mandolin very much, but I have it not so long ago and I just did not have time to drive it to the full. I haven't grated boiled vegetables on it yet. Berner easily removed it to the "bins", I will use Mandolin.

kubanochkaThank you very much for such a detailed and visual explanation
Lilida
kubanochka, well, you are a fine fellow - so many pictures were taken of the detailed work of Mandolin. Whoever doubted should be imbued with its capabilities. But the details will appear in the course of longer use. Jelly dishes look delicious. Smart girl!
Naty777
susika, and there are also dumplings - hearts, triple dumplings, form for jelly somewhere in the catalogs?

Finally, I bought myself a container Freshness for 5, 5 liters, I included 4 kg of potatoes, it is not small, I came across rather large tubers. Of course I thought he looked bigger in the picture. This time I also took a rice cooker, cooked rice once, I liked it. Only I have a micra from old models, the power is only 500, 800 watts, I had to cook at 500 watts, but 15-16 minutes.

Olgushechka81, I cook for 800 watts for 10 minutes.
In the next joint venture it will be possible for everyone to buy a rice cooker at a good price - a good and useful thing!
Longina
Katerina, only it turns out to be 2.2 liters, and not 3 liters as expected ...
susika
Longina, It's so easy for 3 liters .. and they won't give it at a discount.

I have a permanent family - 3 people. Plus, our eldest daughter lived with us for three months with our grandson. Rice cooker 2.2 was enough. I will definitely buy a second one if it is in the joint venture.
susika
I am also quite enough 2.2 l-and cereals and pasta, and potatoes and beets.
I already wrote - the youngest herself peels 2-3 potatoes, cuts in half and sets for 7 minutes. used to cook in a rice cooker. now gave her an omelette. Cooking in it. Potatoes are tastier than boiled in a saucepan in water.

I wanted to make a jelly dessert today, but the kiwi puree is not frozen. Strange ... Well, okay ... Whipped the squirrels in a mixer from the chef. Especially counted))) 5 pieces were whipped into the strongest hat in 50 turns of the handle. If we assume that 3 turns of the handle are easily done in 1 second, then the whites are whipped in less than 20 seconds. Then I added powdered sugar. Delight! Added gelatin and poured into a jelly mold (not Sunflower)

kubanochka, Lena, kiwi must first undergo heat treatment - if we want to decorate with slices, cut into slices. put on colo-slag and pour boiling water from the kettle. We put slices on the cake.
Or we make mashed potatoes from them.
notka_notka
Lena, were you tasty ??? Looks great !!! And with kiwi, I have passed the stage of failures, although I scalded it with boiling water .... It does not gel)))

Natul, this is my old one bird milk recipe... On prescription 5 proteins, 1 glass of sugar and 1 tsp. gelatin per 100 ml of water. Soak the gelatin, beat the proteins with sugar, heat the gelatin, dissolve and add to the proteins. Pour into molds and ... that's it ... In today's version of powdered sugar, there are only 3 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons of gelatin.

Here. And I didn't prepare well, so. But an orange, half a kiwi puree and a grain of frozen berries fit well into the 2-liter Station Wagon. The drink turned out superb!

Lena, I would add lemon juice here .. and then the combination of protein-sugar - it turns out fresh, tasteless ... and first poured a layer of chocolate (better like ganache) .. to freeze and then the protein .. chocolate will take shape and it will be beautiful.

Sea bass!

The holidays are over, it's time to get in shape and start eating healthy!
For example, 2 perch 300 grams each, cut, peel, remove the tail and head, rub with salt and your favorite spices (we have Chili and curry), put both fish in a 1.7 L rectangular MicroCook container, stuff with onions, cover and send in the microwave for 10-12 minutes (600 watts). One fish will be ready in 8 minutes! No water, no oil! A delicious and healthy dinner, and a side dish can be basmati rice, cooked in 12 minutes in a 600 W microwave in the Eastern Fairy Tale Rice Cooker, and then mixed with garlic ... Il or broccoli, which can also be cooked in a 600 W microwave in exactly 3 minutes in any container MicroCook, again, without adding water!

Bon appetit and a great start to your work week!
