I bought one. Well, honestly, not happy. A bit dumb. Although prophylactically after Rumba, you can start up. Something like this ...

I cited Viledu as an example as opposed to RM403. Vileda is cheaper, quieter, the brand is famous.

So I just expressed my opinion, maybe someone will be interested. And I have nothing against this work. This is just my subjective assessment

In short, the conclusion is that it is too early to buy floor polishers ... that's an ambush

I am completely satisfied with my Mint 4205. Scuba on my floors is contraindicated. And Mint is less pretentious. Walking barefoot on clean floors is a pleasure!

Something moderators of this topic left us? I have a question about Rumba 630 and 770: their only difference is that the 770 can be programmed and the presence of a control panel?
Robo-Cop
Quote: Albina

No, there are quite a few differences:
1. on the 630th there is AirVac, on the 770th - AirVac 2
2.The 770 has basket full sensors and optical sensors for detecting debris
3.the package is different
4.770 can be programmed by cleaning time
Albina
Thank you, but between 770 and 780 models?
Robo-Cop
There are even more significant differences between 770 and 780.
The main thing is that the 780th supports Lighthouses and is equipped with 2 pieces of them. The 770 does not support beacons, and therefore, with the navigation of the 770, everything is much more neglected ...

Well, from the little things, there is also touch control on the 780th (the 770th has a push-button).

Among the shortcomings are quite expensive consumables, NiMh battery. Do they crash often?
And in terms of reliability in use, which one will be better?

Consumables for 630, 770 and 780 are the same, except for filters. The filter prices are comparable. The brushes, both side and main, are absolutely identical. Accum, by the way, too. All Rumbas (except for outdated ones) are equipped with a 3000 mA NiMh battery.

I have 521, I'm not worried, I like everything when I took a cat-pers. French dog. Of the Rumba, the most elementary one removes wool very well, the carpet after it is just super ... I think which one you can afford, take that one

In principle, I agree.
But still, on the 600 and 700 series, there are clearly optimized waste bins and, most importantly, improved brushes. They really need to be cleaned less often. And besides, practically no debris gets into gearboxes and therefore does not fail.

Agree, for such a price you don't really look at the small inconveniences - you changed the brushes in a year. And I haven't changed the filter yet, although sometimes I dry it, I clean it after each cleaning, or before cleaning, if my daughter was lazy, so I think I like the design, money is not a problem. take the best, and if strained, like my teacher with 2 children and 2 dogs, then the cheapest one among Rumbiks is a wonderful thing
Robo-Cop
The difference in price between 521 and 620 is minimal.
But, again, in principle I agree with you.
Albina
Firstly, the Rumb line already in 1- starts with the 620 model. And already outdated models are sold at the same price, secondly
I now have Rumba 630, but then the mother-in-law decided to buy it. And I thought to take myself an improved model
Are the brushes in it the same as in the 630?

it seems to me that if there are no replaceable filters, then think about it all the same then it will be necessary, I would also take the brushes right away, let them be

I didn't understand: what is "in it"?

The block of brushes, like the brushes themselves, on models 620-630-650-760-770-780-790 are exactly the same!

Do I need this AeroVac Dust Bag Filter and Roomba 700 Series Replacement Filters?

The service life of the filter directly depends on the proper care of the owner himself for these filters. If the filters are not wet, if the robot is not run into puddles, if the filters are vacuumed with a classic vacuum cleaner once a month or two, then the filter's service life is quite long. Well, 6-12 months for sure. But filters by themselves are not that expensive ...

And I'm talking about the same thing: the price will be practically the same, and then you will not find spare parts for it
Robo-Cop
I am not advocating to buy any model. I'm just announcing that rumors of the death of the 500th episode are premature. And yet, the spare parts for Rumb are unified. That is, a wheel or battery is suitable for both the 600 and 500 series without any problems, as well as for the 700th. Another question is that the 500-series models are really becoming a rarity. Nevertheless, the 595, for example, has such a rich package that it simply has no equal. And this despite the fact that this model has on board the same AirVac and an updated brush unit as the latest models from the 600 series.

I didn't find something cheaper for 595. I ordered the 780 model and a set of brushes for 26500r. I found 595 for almost 26000r.

THANK YOU, mowgli, for the support. I already appreciated the assistant. While the 630th model is working for me, which I will give to my mother-in-law, it is not a month yet. I just did not really understand it before, until I tried it in practice.

Previously, my husband and I adhered to choosing the very latest model. Because while this is outdated, it will still have time to pass. And if you evaluate only by money, then you will not have time to "Reach" me - and already yesterday
When the older guys were little, we bought a modern one at that time and, accordingly, it was expensive at a price. As much as 60 tons. R. The boys have grown up and say: what rubbish, it costs nothing

Albina, congratulations on your purchase. I have a 780, I still do not get enough of such an assistant.
I additionally ordered one more beacon for it. When he cleans one room at a time, the cleaning quality is better and faster. The set includes only 2. If there are more than 2 rooms, it may not be too late to order.
Albina
I now have 630 model, it also has something attached, but I did not use it
Lucha
The 630 comes with a virtual wall. This is different. The wall simply blocks the exit, and the beacon does not release the robot until it completely cleans the room and only then goes to another.
I stopped at 780 just because of this function, I launch it and go to work. No need to transfer from room to room.

I have a question for you.
After completely discharging and "clearing the brain" by pressing the two necessary buttons, my 564 began to behave differently than before.
In the sense that now he leaves for the base after the same amount of time as before the procedure, but the indicator is still bright green, and before it was red. You can stop it only by resetting the settings again with two buttons. After that, he continues to drive twice as long, namely until the red indicator.
And further. I understand that if you reset ALL of his settings, then the language in which he chirps should be reset? Mine continues to speak Russian.
Maybe I'm not finishing something?
Robo-Cop
A more correct reboot procedure is to remove the battery for one minute. There is nothing complicated in this - you need to unscrew 4 screws, unscrew and remove the propeller brush. After that, the bottom is easily detached and access to the battery opens. The battery can be removed with two green strips, easy and simple. No wires. After a minute, repeat the procedure in reverse order.

Making it work until it is completely discharged is also simple: after starting the robot from the base, you need to unplug the base from the socket. The robot will retract until the battery is completely discharged.

In general, all Rumba have a self-diagnosis mode. In this mode, it runs through 27-30 tests (I don't remember exactly) and checks literally everything: motors, fall sensors, touch sensors, charge, current, etc.

But you still try rebooting by removing the battery.

To enable the service test mode, do the following:

1) If the robot is on, turn it off by holding down the "Clean" button.
2) While holding down the "Clean" and "Dock" buttons, press the "Spot" button 6 times.
That's it, the robot has switched to the service testing mode and is at zero test - checking the light indication. Use the "Dock" and "Spot" buttons ("Dock" - next, "Spot" - previous) to select the required test.

Well, I ordered a remote control, brushes, dust collector and filters for my 620 Rumba. The bill says that the remote control and dust collector for the 500 series. Well, about the dust collector, okay, the 600 series has the same dust collector as the 500 Pet series. But the remote control ... inserted the batteries (I have no batteries, all AAA and AA in the house are batteries), the green light blinked and went out. At first I decided that the remote didn't fit the 600 series. I called Ayrobot. The manager was very surprised and switched to the service provider. The service technician, as soon as he heard that the light was off, but only nervously blinks and precipitates, advised to throw out the batteries ... Well, I didn’t throw it away, but recharged it. The same bullshit. And in other devices, a full charge is shown, but here ... I went to buy new ones ... And there they ask me at what power ... I don’t know how who, but I’ll definitely die soon from the breadth of choice ... I took the most expensive ones. .. AND ... DOESN'T EVEN BLINK !!! True, my old batteries are Wart, and these ... are gray-blue ... Who the devil knows what version of rearranging the batteries, I saw the inscription 1.5 V. in the remote control at the bottom. And I have all the batteries for 1.2 V. Ordered Durasel 1.5 V.
