Bookmarked. I love all kinds of prunes, and it should go especially well with bacon
MariV
It goes very well with gorilka!
shuska
Made a similar prune.
The prunes wrapped in bacon are slightly browned under the grill in the oven. And part of the stuffed prunes (without bacon) was poured with sauce (mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice and granulated sugar). Delicious too
MariV
I also baked - I like this, raw, I like it better!
Tumanchik
Olya stuffed another tasty treat into bacon! I have not yet moved away from the syrniki, but here are prunes ...
I will definitely cook. a snack for a tooth - exactly what I love on the New Year's table
MariV
Tumanchik, Irinka, smack you!

I, too, will not bake this year - it tastes better!
ninza
Olga, thanks for the great idea! By the New Year I will embody.
MariV
ninza, Nina, this is an old, proven recipe from D. Ya. The color from the book "To the festive table" is simple and tasty.

I did this, only put a piece of regular cheese into the prunes, then baked it in the oven and all this on a piece of rye bread, which is soaked a little with bacon bacon. (I don't remember where I got this recipe, from a magazine, probably some kind)

I'll have to try another stuffing :)
MariV
Dougy, try it, I think it will be delicious. Can be put in prunes and regular hard cheese.

I still didn’t understand - should I use the bacon raw or ready-made? If it is raw, then it is not dangerous to chew it alive, without heat treatment? If not "heat" with vodka?
Forgive the slow-witted
MariV
Irina, ready-made, sliced. Raw or cooked smoked. What is!
IvaNova
MariV, Thank you!
MariV
Irina, to your health!

Olya, Happy New Year !! I am carrying a report from the New Year's table. A complete surprise is your recipe. The taste is very unexpected. Salty bacon, sweet prunes and quite spicy cheese !! I ate it and did not understand whether it was tasty or not. And then like seeds. It turned out that she did little.
20 pieces were not enough for our table.
Thanks for the new taste !!

Prunes in bacon

It turned out to be a lot of filling and from the rest I made small canapes.

Ludmila, according to the recipe, nevertheless, uncooked smoked bacon, it tastes better with prunes, then I would, I'm sure, like it more.
although it chews longer ... which means that it will last longer)))
MariV
Husky, Luda, I'm glad I liked it! I also really, really love this bacon.

You can also boiled brisket - delicious in any form! Eh, I'll go soak the prunes in a bowl!
julia_bb
MariV, tell me, how to stuff the prunes?
Husky
Yulia, can I tell you. I didn’t completely fill the first prunes until I figured out how to do it.
Dried prunes have two holes (if pitted). It is necessary to take at the base of one of the holes and slowly press around it. The prunes will begin to straighten out, as if stretching out, until the whole thing straightens out to the next hole. After that, the prunes are easily filled with the mass, which must first be put into a cornet / disposable pastry bag / any plastic bag, cutting off a corner / syringe for cookies with a nozzle from it.

Olya, I didn't soak the prunes. I took aim, then looked again at the recipe, and there it is not written. I didn't. Moreover, I do not like wet dried fruits.
MariV
Luda, thanks for the clarification! I'll take a note too! I have very dry prunes in my fridge, no locks - no way! Lay for 6 hours in water, barely soaking for further processing.

Everything, bummer me with my prunes - turned out to be with a bone, small. In the fall I was looking for the smell of haze, I found it, here it is in the refrigerator and I was bored.

Need to buy without a bone.

But the one in the photo I stuffed with pens with a mustard spoon ...

Husky, thanks for the clarification) I will fill with a nozzle)
MariV
Husky, Luda, thanks again for reminding me of the recipe! Yesterday's dry fine, with the smell of smoke, threw into the borscht. Today I bought it without a bone, in the market and in the "Five". The price is the same, but the quality ...

Prunes in bacon- five

I did it quickly - I didn't need a culinary syringe and other confectionery gadgets, so I pushed finely chopped blue cheese.

I will definitely do it on NG. I have my own prunes. Dried in the fall, store in the freezer. I have already tried it, the taste is a little smoky and it is mild. Only two halves, well, I'll seal them with bacon. And for the future I will dry without cutting to the end.

Haven't seen this recipe before on the forum! But I heard about him for a long time, although I did not do it myself.
But a friend of mine makes a similar recipe, only stuffs the sticks of delicious, spicy cheese into dates, and not into prunes! So I wanted to try stuffing it with dates. Bacon wraps and does not bake.

And I've been baking prunes in bacon for Christmas and Easter for ten years now. I pierce it with a toothpick and on a baking sheet under the grill. Sometimes I string three things at once on a wooden skewer. Delicious and hot and cold. Flies away instantly. I try to take fleshy prunes and not very sweet.
