Admin, thank you very much for Temko (y) You opened my eyes straight, I thought the darkness was that only milk could be boiled in it, that's why I passed by :) And then it turns out that: swoon: Another wishlist more: mail1: On the trail ... week will be in your ranks

Hello! I read rave reviews about the milk cooker. I also bought one of these days, this one, called a VITESSE milk jug, 1.5 l. An excellent thing, for the first time I cooked millet porridge, for 1 liter of milk - 1 tablespoon of cereals, it seemed to me a bit too much, I like thin porridge. Next time I'll try smaller cereals. Everything went fine, the only thing is that my cat reacted strangely to the sound of a whistle for some reason, was nervous, bit my legs. The porridge turned out to be so tasty that the cat ate it with us by both cheeks. Apparently, biting my legs, she asked for porridge. These are my adventures with the milk cooker! Thanks to Tatiana for a great topic

Thanks to the inventor who invented the milk cooker !!! And Admin for Temko
I read this Temko and still bought a milk cooker. The porridges are really delicious, the milk is boiled and does not run over, and if you forget about it, it even becomes melted. Our family is very fond of milk porridge, but I rarely cooked them, and even then only semolina on weekends for breakfast. For that now we have porridge every day for breakfast!

Girls, and in a milk cooker for one and a half liters of wet meringue cream, how many proteins can you make?
Birke
thank you for the reminder about the Milk ... We had and still have, my mother, ours, Soviet still, aluminum ... Milk was always boiled in it, and then jam-jams-jam were cooked and juices were pasteurized ... Not to a boil comes, it turns out very tasty, not overcooked ... I think we also made squash caviar in it ...
in general, I bought myself from a stainless steel ... Very tasty cereals are obtained ..

I want to share my observation.
My husband gave me a Peterhof Milk Cooker, it is designed for two liters, but in fact it includes 1.5 liters, since you need to pour milk up to the whistle level. I also thought that they were all the same, and I ordered Empire for a present at a cheaper price. It came out for 30 UAH. cheaper and less displacement. It is exactly 1.5 liters, that is, in fact, to the level of the whistle it is a liter. And I also did not like the hole for the whistle, it is very small, it is not convenient to fill in the water, the volume of water is less, while the stove is covered with water. And the whistle spins, I consider it as a minus, because when we cook porridge, or it is necessary to boil longer, it is not convenient to unscrew it.
But these are my personal observations, and my personal opinion. If someone comes in handy, I will be glad

Didn't find a milk cooker with us, bought a 2 liter water bath,
water is poured into the lower pan, boils, cooks in the upper:

Plus, each saucepan can be used separately ...

Pakat, well, I just can't help but be glad that, finally, in America, at least something is missing!
Pakat
America is big, North and South ...
There are milk cookers in the USA, not in Canada, and shipping is equal to the cost ...
Rita
The water bath is actually much more multifunctional!
Pakat
Yeah, also the volume of the lower pan is much larger than the volume of the milk cooker, it will boil longer and will not burn ...

Here ... came to me a cheaper online store. The handle is knocked down at the base, the screw is short, you cannot fix it (you need to look for it), and most importantly, the husband (he ate the dog on the metal). So, he claims that this is not some kind of food stainless steel, but quite the opposite. And he wants a certificate from me. Took it for 100. Does someone like this Empire have a casserole?

I have already had a milk cooker for 25 years, and for only a year I have not used it for cereals, since I bought a slow cooker. Before multi, I thought that porridge could not be tastier, like from a milk cooker. Having cooked millet porridge with pumpkin for the first time in a cartoon, the milk cooker went into the storage of useful, but not yet necessary things (in the basement - the basement). Although for the sake of truth she saved me great. Soviet luminium for 2.5 liters - you will cook a full of casseroles and the children are fed all day while the mother is not at home.

I accidentally saw the Kaiserhoff milkmen in my favorite online store. The price is excellent, the store is normal, I buy everything in it by self.

Girls, please help! Can't choose the Tescom or Rondel milk cooker. Tescoma has 2 liters, and Rondel has 1.5 liters, but yesterday I went to the store and specially looked at Rondel, they are, in my opinion, the same in size, in Tescom, like Rondel's, a measuring scale up to 1.5 liters. Besides, Rondel has a handle and a whistle not plastic, but metal. Who has Teskoma, tell pzhl how much liquid actually fits there. Maybe someone has Rondel - share your impressions pzhl.

Its price is about 1000 rubles, can anyone use such a quality?
Thanks in advance to everyone for the useful information.

of the two from the link that you gave, I would choose PRESTO. Firstly, because 2 liters. that is, in fact, you will pour 1.5 liters of milk to the level of the whistle. Secondly, the handle is plastic. then it will not heat up. Although the handle may not heat up in Rondel (I really like the company itself), you should already ask those who have such a saucepan.

Thank you. I will do so. displacement is the same, so I chose MAYER & BOCH MB-3326 (especially since the reviews on Bekkers are not good - the handle starts to dangle and the screw rusts)

Why is there a steam outlet in the lid in the milk cooker? There is no steam.
The plastic handle is convenient and does not get warm.
I saw him live in the store. These are not milk cookers, but some kind of monsters, in the sense that they look solid, but bulky. But the price of tesky killed me completely. I understand silicone, for example, buying Teskomovsky, because Chinese can be harmful. But a stainless steel pan, which can be bought 3-4 times cheaper, hardly makes sense, because even the bottom does not have to be thick in it. From my point of view, a weak point in a milk cooker is the space between the walls. To fool yourself and pour boiled water there and worry about scale, or buy a simpler saucepan, so that after a while you will not be sorry to change.

Teskoma is expensive, I completely agree with you, there is more overpayment for the brand. In Ukraine, there is a wonderful replacement Peterhof, which is not expensive - 130 UAH (you can hardly buy a pot for that kind of money). And the problem with scale can be solved, sometimes pour citric acid there for prevention. And whoever drinks purified water, it is not necessary, he filled it in and that's it, there is no scale.

How is this couple not? The water boils inside the pot, gives off steam, so the whistle and whistle! And due to what will the heating inside the pan be created? Therefore, it is called a "water bath", that in one pot the water boils, and a second pot of milk is placed in the water - according to this principle, a milk cooker is built

But the thick bottom is very necessary for the pan: it keeps heat well, and you can turn down the direct fire, and the water will boil a little by heating the milk. And such a bottom will never burn out from fire.

I use water from the filter, after cooking and washing the pan, I pour out the remaining water so that the water does not settle on the walls inside the pan.

And the pan has served me for many years and is not going to die

Yes, there is no hole in the lid, but everything is in order with the whistle (it is), I saw a slightly different one for 2 liters, but the scale is measured up to 1.5 liters like this
🔗
there are just several types of Tim's brand (if I'm not mistaken 0.8l, 1.5l and 2l.) I think the absence of this "hole" in the lid of the milk cooker is not critical, the milk does not boil much. I still want to go see Stahlberg tomorrow without a whistle, this one has already been shown here, only Gipfel on page 18, and if I don’t like it, I’ll probably take this Tim (but it seems to me that only 1.5 liters will go into it anyway, since higher whistle cannot be poured).

Beautiful, I like it. The hole is not needed, I don't have it either. Milk does not boil at all, it languishes. But the cover is needed in principle. Small milk cookers without lids are generally for one serving of porridge. The whistle is needed as a boiling indicator, which means a temperature indicator, and it's good that it's not on the thread, but simply put on. You can pour above the whistle level, because the metal still has the temperature of boiling water. In the same place, the height of milk above the whistle is not one meter, and a couple of centimeters does not matter, I say this as a chemical technologist
I also have a milk cooker for 2 liters, the scale is also up to one and a half liters, I pour 900 ml of milk, add pumpkin puree and cereal and so it all rises slightly with a hat. That is, in reality, more than 1.5 liters of milk for porridge cannot be poured into such a pan.

Olyalya82, St. Kuklin, thank you very much for your advice! Still, I bought Gipfel (without a whistle), the quality is certainly not very good (compared to Tescoma), or I got one. But the decisive factor for me was that without a whistle ... Although in the end, I figured it out, and realized that I can use it with and without a whistle (there is a metal ball inside the small hatch and when you remove it, it whistles when you turn it down fire, it whistles very quietly). I didn't really like that when the fire strong steam comes out not through the hole, but from the sides of the bakelite handle, you reduce the fire and go through the hole (I don't know if it's a marriage or not?)

I have a Soviet 3L milk cooker. Lies on the mezzanine, tans. A couple of times I tried to boil milk, I thought there would be less protein in it to stick to the bottom, but an even larger layer of it settles than when I quickly bring it to a boil over high heat. I even wanted to give this saucepan for a gift, but then I decided to leave it for custard or something else that needs to be done in a water bath. But so far I have not cooked anything more in it. I had no idea that you can cook porridge. I'll have to try.

Tyumenochka, I have a Russian-Chinese TimA, I really like it, the quality is excellent, very neatly made, the whistle is not annoying, a hole in the roof is not needed - nothing boils in the milk cooker. Rondel and Gipfel, I would not discuss or consider at all - there is no Rondel Gipfel in Germany! The same China, but with a raised price tag.
Tescoma an excellent Czech company, at its factories some expensive European brands are made kitchen iron, but the price in Russia is doubled !!! More than two liters of full volume, one and a half working, you will not find a stainless steel, only aluminum for 3 liters.
I vote for TimA.

But you, in fact, have already decided, the post is for those who are still choosing ...
tyumenochka
Doxy, yes, I made up my mind, but anyway, thank you so much for your feedback, I think it will be useful to many. I hurried up and bought Gipfel, although of course I knew that it was China, and not Germany. (I chose it, not because of the brand, but because of the lack of a whistle, I thought the whistle would wake the children up). I don't like the quality at all, I wrote about it earlier, now in general, when the water boils, it runs from all sides (especially at the top, where the junction of 2 containers, between which water is poured), have already tried to pour less water, but it still runs when it boils. And my stove is apparently "super fashionable" and when liquid gets to the comfort, it automatically turns off, to be honest I didn't even know about it, "thanks" to Gipfel. Because of this, now I almost never use a milk cooker. The store gave a warranty card for 6 months, I will try to exchange it, although I can hardly believe it ...
Vasilica
tyumenochka, apparently you have a marriage, before it's too late, exchange it. For me, Gipfel spat for the first time when she poured a lot of water, and then not once.
tyumenochka
Basil, I pour both 500ml and 400ml and 300ml, it still "spits" and the water runs from the junction of the containers at the very top (ie, between the seam), and how much do you fill in approximately? When I tilt the milk cooker, for example, to pour milk out of it, water (which is located between the walls of the milk cooker) drips from the same place (above) into the milk, I think this should not be so.
Here earlier, on 18 pages, Alexandra also had Gipfel, like mine:
Quote: Alexandra

Water, as it turned out, includes 700 ml, but with such a filling, the water runs. 600 ml just right
Vasilica
The first time I poured 600, as Alexandra wrote, and spat out of the hole where the water is poured. And from the junction, no. And then she poured it by eye from a glass for an iron (it has a convenient spout), there is about 350-400 ml. After cooking, the water still remained, I really only cook semolina sometimes.
Bridge
I once had a Soviet milk cooker for 2 liters, a wonderful thing, I remember looking for it when I was pregnant. She cooked children's porridge only in it, boiled milk in the absence of a refrigerator. The handles were plastic, but I boldly put it in the oven oven, made baked milk. Actually, she is still alive, at her mother-in-law's house. The handles, of course, were partially broken. The whistle was lost then, but you can safely use it without a whistle = the main thing is to adapt.
And now my mother bought me a Chinese saucepan "Smile". Good for everyone, but small, 1 liter, without a lid. But due to its small volume, it is convenient to take it by one handle - it is made in the form of a ladle - pour boiled milk. Again, from stainless steel. Actually, I don’t boil more than a liter of milk at a time, I cook porridge in a micron. So it's not bad. Only, for some reason, the milk sometimes runs away if I hesitate a little from the fire to remove the saucepan.
tyumenochka
Vasilica, Thank you! So I definitely have a marriage, I also think that it can spit from the hole where the water is poured, and not from the junction. You will "not believe", but I also pour a glass from the iron.
