I also made such legs in the airfryer, that is, shins. The first time I did everything clearly according to the recipe (from the book that was attached to the airfryer, the recipe completely coincides with what Hairpin wrote). Oddly enough, everything turned out very well. I cut the raw potatoes into rather thin slices. The next time I did it a little differently: I took the pitted legs, and cut the potatoes into cubes and put them in a frying pan on the lower wire rack. I smeared only chicken with mayonnaise, and enough seasonings got on the chicken potatoes. True, for some reason, the second time the potatoes were cooked later than the chicken. Maybe due to the fact that it was in the pan and not in one layer, but a decent amount. But then we ate it with such pleasure!

So I really like this recipe. Now I want to try stuffing the leg with something.

P.S. I constantly use an airfryer at the dacha. And in such a heat as it was this summer, I simply could not cook in the oven.

2. I used pickled legs and almost boiled potatoes. It seems to me that your (more precisely, chicken) legs were not marinated, and the potatoes were not boiled.
3. In my opinion, an airfryer is identical to a good oven. What cannot be done well in the oven cannot be done well in the airfryer.
4. As for the chicken legs, I advise you to fry until a good crust, and then stew ... um ... for me it is better in a slowcooker. But you can also in a slow cooker. The main thing is long languor. The fried crust will preserve the juice, and the long languor will replace the lack of pickling. But I don't even know what to do with potatoes ... I have never cooked fried potatoes ...

Yaltunka, can we start pickling? Everything is very simple there. Mixture of vinegar (lemon juice, lime juice or citric acid) + soy sauce + sugar (honey) + vegetable oil + seasonings. Then first we fry at the breakdown speed and breakdown temperature, and when the crust appeared - we transfer the average temperature.
You should also have a cross for a full chicken in the kit. Can you just swing at the grilled chicken? Whole? But in general, I get 1.5 - 2, hours ...
