Mullet baked with rosemary and lime

Ingredients

Mullet 2-3 pieces of medium size
olive oil 3 tbsp. l
lime / lemon 2-3 pcs
curry 1 tsp
rosemary
saffron 1/2 tsp
oregano 1 tsp
dry mint 1/2 tsp
salt

Cooking method

  • Peel the fish, rinse and cut, but not completely in small pieces, so as to preserve the intactness of the carcass. Mix butter with juice of 1 lime, spices and salt of your choice. Put the fish in a baking dish, pour over the sauce. Place a sprig of rosemary and a quarter of lime (or lemon) inside the abdomen. Cover the tin with foil and leave to marinate for 2-3 hours. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, remove the foil 10 minutes before the end so that the fish is slightly brown.

Note

Mullet is a common name for several species (striped mullet, whitefish, singil, ostronos, pelingas) of sea fish. Length 120 cm, weight is more than 7 kg.
