Cooking method

  • To begin with, we make a baking powder. I don't buy, I always do it myself. Pour citric acid into a stack, grind it into powder with a knife handle, add soda and starch. The proportions are 1: 2: 2. Soda took 2/3 tsp.

  • Mix sour cream with baking powder, then add all the ingredients, except flour, stir. Stir in flour gradually. The dough should be soft, plastic. Leave on for 30 minutes. Divide into 4-5 parts (I divided into 7, I like thin cakes), roll out on baking paper. Furnace at 200-230 t until golden brown.

  • I did not add sugar to the cream. It took 700 g of sour cream. Everything was soaked perfectly, but I like more cream (and it went into cakes).
  • Soaked the day. And then it turned out that we would not go to visit, but my husband and I went on a diet. Thought and froze))) The taste did not deteriorate (I tried both before and after).
  • After defrosting, garnished with "Wet meringue" cream.
  • Weight without trim - 1800 g, with trim - 2000 g. Dimensions of the finished cake 24 * 24 * 6

It tastes moderately sweet, I like these, but those with a sweet tooth can safely add sugar to the cream! Very satisfying and delicious cake! But the sour cream from my childhood was different ... So wait for new recipes from me)))
