Herring 2 pcs / 900g
Large onion 1 PC
Sauce
Prepared mustard 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Vinegar 9% 1 tsp
vegetable oil

Cooking method

  • Many years ago I was visiting relatives. Lyusechka, the wife of my husband's older brother, put on the table a small bowl of ready-made herring. Lucy suggested that I try the herring. Lyusechka and I have very warm relations and rare meetings. Therefore, we talk a lot. That time it so happened that during a long conversation I "persuaded" more than half a basin of herring. Since then, herring in mustard sauce has often been on our table, especially in winter, when the herring on the shelves has good taste.
  • Autumn, the heat subsided and finally, normal herring of normal salinity appeared on the shelves
  • Stir mustard well with sugar, add vinegar, stir and pour in vegetable oil (I have olive oil). The sauce is ready.
  • Cut herring into fillets, onion on top in half rings. Pour over the sauce, stir and eat.
